Prologue: Last Revenge To You

There were just two of them on the platform.

Separated by a yellow line.

It was a serene and beautiful night; the black sky was littered with stars. A gentle breeze fluttered through the station, lightly passing through the woman's hair. She had no jewellery except for the black crystal swan earrings adorning her ears, complimenting the little black Chanel dress she wore. On her feet were gradient studded Romy heels, completing her glittering outfit. Her appearance was deathly beautiful. No matter the situation she was in, she always managed to look composed and elegant.

The two stared at each other silently, complicated expressions on both their faces. Only the clanging of maintenance and rail work in the far distance could be heard.

The woman parted her lips, melodic voice shaking as she forced the words out of her mouth. "I hope you know that you brought this upon yourself."

Her eyelashes trembled, heavy with unshod tears as she raised her delicate finger to point at him.

"I hope you know that it's your fault the people you love the most no longer exist."

The rumbling of a train approaching echoed towards the platform.

"I hope you never find her and live knowing that the last hope of ever seeing her again is about to disappear. I hope you will suffer for the rest of your life."

She stepped closer towards the edge of the platform and closed her eyes. A smile formed on her lips, replacing her former deranged and loathing expression. As if finally, she could be at peace and free herself. Just like a bright red rose in full bloom, peerless in its beauty and grace, abruptly being nipped up by a greedy person, forcing its life to end in a moment.

"Li Feng Xie," she drawled, enunciating each syllable slowly and distinctly. It was like she purposely wanted to prolong this tormenting moment for the man opposite her.

Her eyes still closed, stiletto heels hanging off the rim of the platform, she breathed her final words.

"This is my last revenge to you. Goodbye."

Her body leaned back as the train approached.
