Chapter 1

In a park, on a bench lies a young man 18 to 19, he had black hair with this black attire that is strange, as the sun starts rising up and shines onto his face, his eyes slowly start to open,revealing his purple eyes, remembering the events of last night. He quickly forgets about them as he focuses on the most important thing to him right now. Find a way to earn this eras currency and knowledge.

'How do people of this time earn money though?' as he thought still laying on the bench, staring up into the sky. Knowing he won't get anywhere laying down, he starts to get up and walk out of the park. Continuing to walk forward like he's always done in the past, as he's walking with nowhere in mind he senses a strange aura that seems to surround a structure, he walks towards this unknown aura that seems to shroud this structure in a dome shape, as he arrives to the dome, he sees that it covers this entire structure that contains massive amounts of Linto, but he sees that none of them seem to notice, as they are sitting down, wearing the same uniforms as the group of four he saw from yesterday night.

'Impressive, maybe this is where they train the Linto to fight.' as he nods approvingly, 'if I can get myself into this structure, I could possibly learn of there ways and possibly gain myself some comrades who won't be a liability' he thinks to himself as he walks away.

Unbeknownst to him, he was being watched from a far away place, as he was too concentrated on his thoughts as this person pushes up their glasses. "Tsubaki" she says as another person walks towards the glasses wearing person, "Is something wrong?" this person asks, "There's a suspicious individual that was close to the academy, something seemed off about him, he had this really faint aura, I couldn't tell until I actually focused on him, find anything on this person at once." she says. "Of course" she replies as she leaves.

Walking down the street a few blocks away from the academy that he doesn't know he was at, is our MC holding a flyer in his hand that read *Help wanted at coffee shop* it showed the address and how much it payed. He thought it was a good sum of money (Still doesn't know how if the pay he'll get is good or not) so he decided to check it out.

Arriving at the coffee shop, there were multiple chairs and tables around the place, at the front was a long counter. Opening the door there was a ringing sound indicating someone had entered, when he entered most people took a glance at him, he was very handsome and his purple eyes looked like they could see through you, but what made him stand out was his attire, but oddly it fit him, as people were slowly talking about him. He reached the counter where there was a man who looked to be 40 to 50, his hair was very messy, and had bangs that covered his right eye while his left showed his blue eye. He had a pin that read Goto on his brown apron over his white collar shirt.

The woman that was next to him was fairly young, as she looked to be around 17 to 18, she also had a pin attached to her apron that was brown over her brown shirt, which had her sleeves rolled up, the pin read Miyazaki. When I got closer she asked "How may I help your sir?", I bring up the flyer and say "I heard you were looking for a helping hand around here and I was wondering if you would hire me?" When the man heard that, he asked "Do you have any experience?", "No, I don't but I can learn fast" I replied. "I'll test you out for a week" he says, nodding I say "That's fine", "What's your name?" he asks, "My name is Kido Hikaru" I reply.

"Nice name you got there, My name is Goto Shino, and over there she's Miyazaki Ezume" as he points to himself and the woman over there. "Nice to meet you both" I say as they both nod. "I'm going to show you, how to make coffee and serve them professionally, you can take care of the counter right Miyazaki-san?", he tells me and asks her, which she nods in return "Alright then follow me."

(Let's just skip this coffee part, it's basically an info dump)

*Meanwhile elsewhere*

In an alleyway you can see this white cocoon, and there were multiple of them as more people passed by. On the wall near the cocoons you can see this humanoid figure crawling on the wall, it looked like a spider, if you looked closely you could see it had multiple eyes and these horn-like things sticking out of its head, looking like spider legs. its jaw looked like the mouth of a spider. This was Zu-Gumun-Ba, the Spider Grongi, it had just started the game of Gegeru, to rank up and challenge N-Daguva-Zeba, the current leader of the Grongi, and stag-beetle lord. It had just finished killing five people, and needed to find a new hunting place, as the requirement for him, was to kill five people in a certain area before moving on to the next. But these disappearances have notified the devils in the vicinity, as their peerage members have been sent to locate them, capture them, and interrogate them, find out whether or not they'll be a threat.

If they are they'll find out how to kill them easier by subjecting them to experimentation, but secretly as laws from the underworld have forbidden these types of practices. Some have thoughts of trying to recruit these monsters into their peerages, but have little to no success of finding one. Unbeknownst to the devils, N-Daguva-Zeba has made contact with other Grongi, and has started to form his own faction with all 200 of them, since the Grongi have been collecting information better than Hikaru, Daguva having discovered there's three different factions and a secret faction in this modern world consisting of Angels, Fallen Angels, and the Devils, and the Khaos Brigade. Daguva still in his imperfect form, has started to find ways to speed up the process of transforming into his perfect form.

The next area Zu-Gumun-Ba chose to target is a place relatively close to the academy, as it soon waits for the massive amounts of Linto in that area, to come out and become his way of going up in the Grongi tribe.

As the time for school ends, the students leave the premise as they start doing whatever they want for the rest of the day. Everything was going normal as the perverted trio were going around to peek at all the women that came off as cute, sexy, and beautiful. They found their targets as there were two women that were quite attractive in their eyes (not going to describe people who are possibly going to die and are cannon fodder), as they were going following them around staring at their ass and breasts imagining them without clothes, and drooling all over them, there screams woke them up from their fantasies as they saw a humanoid spider monster spinning these webs that attached themselves to the women as Zu-Gumun-Ba starts pulling the web attached to women towards him.

Mastuda and Motohama who saw this immediately ran for their lives, while Issei just stood there watching, like he was paralyzed but one thought came to his mind 'What am I doing? I can help!' as he snaps out of this fear as he runs towards the the girls, as he grabs both the women by there web covered waist, as he pulls back with all his strength, but he's slowly dragged along with them. Koneko, who was assigned to watch over the pervert, was looking from above reported to Rias through a small magic circle that near her ear.

Rias on the other end, immediately got Akeno and Kiba to head out with her, while also telling Sona about the situation as they rush over to Koneko's location. Koneko who was continuing to watch what was happening noticed somebody approaching.

*Back to our boy the MC (Before the grongi appears)*

He had just found out about how society, economy, history, and any major developments that have occurred at a public library. 'Education is easy now' Hikaru thought to himself, after all back in the Linto tribe you had to be pretty high up in the hierarchy, to learn just some basic education, like basic mathematics of subtraction and addition, the currency here was way more advanced, as they had to trade items that were of equal or higher value for items they wanted. The lower end of the hierarchy were the ones most likely to be targeted by the Grongi.

As Hikaru was thinking of these things, he heard the multiple screams from a nearby place, as soon as he heard that he immediately ran towards the source of the screams, as soon as he arrived he saw two women being dragged along by the webbing, slowly heading towards Zu-Gumun-Ba that was on the wall, he also saw a brown haired boy in what he now knows as a school uniform, as he's trying his best to stop the women from being dragged away. Giving him a nod of approval in his head, he also notices that there's that white haired child, that was from the night before, not wanting to expose his identity as Kuuga in this modern world, Hikaru grabs anything that he can throw at Zu-Gumun-Ba, which happened to be aluminum soda can, he throws it into the face Zu-Gumun-Ba catching his attention.

Zu-Gumun-Ba turned to look to see whatever threw that piece of can at him, only to see the user of the arcle, as he immediately recognizes who he is, he stops paying attention to the women and boy, as it immediately drops his webs, to confront the arcle user.

Hikaru seeing that he got his attention immediately runs in front of the webbed women, and brown haired teenager, as he says "Hey you brown haired boy, get them out of here" to which Issei responds with "What about you?", "I can take care of him" Hikaru says as he takes a different combat stance from Kuuga. Deciding to trust him after seeing that he knows some sort of martial arts, he hurriedly takes the webbing off the women as he helps them run away.

Zu-Gumun-Ba who sees that his prey have ran away gets irritated as it blames it on the person in front of it, as they get ready to fight, Koneko who was still watching this was intrigued by this human who seems to want to fight this humanoid spider youkai, seemingly not afraid of it, as she reports this to Rias, her group and Sona's peerage were starting to arrive as the fight started between Hikaru and Zu-Gumun-Ba as Zu-Gumun-Ba starts spewing webs from his mouth towards Hikaru, as HIkaru dodges them as he starts heading towards Zu-Gumun-Ba, throwing multiple punches towards its abdomen, who seems to have been inflicted some pain as he had to back away a few steps, with one hand clutching his abdomen a bit before letting go. Getting back into a combat stance, Hikaru immediately starts running towards Zu-Gumun-Ba, as he sends a few kicks and side sweeps, which Zu-Gumun-Ba blocks and jumps over, before making use of his makeshift claws on his hands, swiping them at Hikaru, who gets scratched in the face when he dodges them. But Hikaru just ignores it and sends a side-kick to Zu-Gumun-Ba who gets hit in the gut before sending him tumbling to the ground, Zu-Gumun-Ba who senses some supernatural beings coming, takes this opportunity to flee, before he gets trapped between the arcle user and the supernatural beings.

Hikaru who sees this attempts to chase after Zu-Gumun-Ba, only to hear someone yell "You there!" as he quickly turns to face them, and turns his head back to Zu-Gumun-Ba who is now gone, as he slowly turns his head back to the person who yelled, he notices that there are four people from before, but this time there are more people consisting of eight females and one male. As he looks at them he sighs out loud and looks a little to the ground before muttering "Oh boy, the magic people are here." To which some of them had their eyebrows twitch, some had there eyes narrow, and one male in particular looked hatefully at him.
