Fate?

"I'm sorry young child."

Looking up from my knees all I see is a bright ball that is glowing beyond human understanding. It seems bright yet not bright and even comforting.

'Is this bright ball a god or something?'

I couldn't help but ask.

"I'm something of that, sure child, don't worry you don't have to speak to me I can read your mind."

I felt a big weight come off my shoulders, this god can read my mind? More importantly, what would a god want with me? Does she want my soul or something? Maybe I'm dead and in the afterlife, but that wouldn't make sense!

"Please calm down child, I don't want anything from you, rather I am here to apologize to you, Chase, you had a rather unfortunate life and it was due to me and some other gods that messed up your fate."

'Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, my whole life was a mis.. mistake, your kidding right. because some gods messed up my so-called fate.'

"I do not kid child, your life was meant to be with a loving family and with you being the perfect son, it was an unfortunate event that caused your life to messed up and before we could even locate where fate has messed up, more than 17 years passed, once again I'm sorry."

For the first time in 13 years, I broke one of my Dad's rules, I couldn't help but laugh, I mean seriously, everything I went through was all a mistake, think about your whole life all the suffering and hardships you went through wasn't a result of your karma or something but because some higher power made a mistake and decided, oops I made a mistake, sorry!

"hahahahahah...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!"

After laughing for what felt like an eternity, I abruptly stopped and stared at the ceiling, with tears coming down my face, I couldn't believe it I am crying the one who has been abused for 13 years of my life, finally cried.

'How pathetic!'

After getting over my crying business, I went back to my stoic face with eyes that looked dead, I yet broke another one of my dad's rules and looked the god or goddess in the face, and finally spoke in 13 years.

"So what's the real reason for you being here?"

"What do you mean child?"

"There is no way in hell I'm believing you came all the way down here for little old me, even more with you being here proves there are gods or some higher power, there's no way, you would come down here to apologize."

"So tell me what you're really after or should I call you fate?"

Fate looked shocked, I mean it wasn't hard for me to figure out the the real identity of this person, Fate kept saying sorry over and over again, like it, itself was the fault.

"You're a smart child for your age, yes indeed I am Fate the very thing that messed up your fate and what I am here for is to offer you a chance of a lifetime and to make up for my mistake."

"A lifetime offer, I can't miss, sounds a little too good, what's the catch."

"There is no catch just a chance to become something more than average and help other people in need, for helping people on your home planet, or even other planets when your strong enough and the chance far into the future to become a god!"

Fate seems a little too excited about this, plus there has to be a catch there's no way I am getting all this for free.

"Fate, what happens if I choose to not do anything with this lifetime offer you're giving me or moreover what if I fail to save the planet or person?"

Fate stares at me as if I stumbled upon a minefield and asked something she didn't expect me to ask, which is weird if you consider the fact she is Fate, which is like knowing the future in away.

"Well, Chase if you do say no my offer or fail, your soul will perish and it will be like you never existed in the first place."

"Ahhhhh that's the catch its either you die or well die isn't." It's not like I have much of choice on the matter, the obvious answer is to say yes.

"Alright fate, ill accept your offer, so what's this power you've been so mysterious about."

"The power I'm giving you is something all you humans on this planet want as a power for whatever reason, but it does have the highest potential for you to become a god or become the strongest you can be."
