Hope

The next morning, it was the same scenario. The same hospital room and same hospital bed she woke up to since then. But, something was different today. It felt warmer than before. It's not the temperature of the room, but somehow, something warm in enveloping her.

She slowly opened her eyes and found 2 purple orbs already staring back at her.

"Ohayou, Yuki" he gently greeted and smiled.

Yuki blinked multiple times, assuring that she is not dreaming. "Seii...chi?"

"Hmm?Nani?"

She suddenly opened her eyes widely and quickly sat up, making him giggle.

"Ara…. Gomen, Seiichi." she mumbled while looking down, her cheeks flushing.

He also sat up and pats her head. "It's okay. It was one of my best nights" he teased, making her face red all over.

Seiichi then stood up from the bed. She remained sitting, her head still low. "Gomene….but, I heard that last night…."

"Ahhh. About that, gomen, I won't be able to play tennis with you anymore" he answered without even looking back at her.

The afternoon for them was filled with silence. Yuki writing something in a notebook while Seiichi is reading a book.

She glanced to her roommate, checking if he is okay. Suddenly, she closed her notebook.

"Yoshi" she nodded, her eyes filled with determination.

She slowly stood up and walked towards Seiichi.

"Yukimura-san, can you please come with me?" she asked with seriousness, making Seiichi look up from his book.

"What's with the formality, Yuki?"

"Ii kara." she insisted, tugging his hands. Seiichi sighed and placed his book down and let himself get dragged by his roommate.

While they are walking, they didn't talk to each other until he realized where they are going.

"Yuki, I though I made it clear this morning…."

"We are not going to play tennis" she intterrupted without looking back at him.

As they arrived at the courts, she faced him. "...I'm going to teach you tennis"

"What do you mean?" he asked, still holding his poker face.

"You told me you can't play tennis anymore...but you still have the chance after the surgery. Meanwhile, I don't have assurance that I could still play the week after or even tomorrow. That is why I want to teach you something. Consider it as my thanks for coming in my life"

Seiichi was taken aback to what she said. He was out of words, but he can feel his heart racing. Suddenly, he cracked and laughed melodically. Yuki tilted her head with confusion. He approached her and gently wrapped his arms around her.

"Thank you" he whispered to her ears. Yuki smiled and hugged back. "You don't know how thankful I am to be able to meet you"

She let him go and looked at him with confused face. "It's actually funny that I meet someone special to a place I hated the most"

Yuki blinked her eyes multiple times. "Uhmmm… eh?"

He just smiled genuinely at her and kissed her forehead. "Saa, let's start our training"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Seiichan, are you busy?" Yuki asked her roommate who is surprised by her enthusiasm.

"Ehh. Nande?" he asked while patting her head.

She smiled brightly at the demigod. "Kyou wa, we can go out!!" and she spread her arms like a little kid looking for a hug.

"Outside? What do you mean?

Yuki giggled, "The doctor allowed me to go outside for a whole day since they said I had progress in my health"

"Hontou? Yokata…" he smiled gently. I'm glad that she's getting better. That means if ever, we can still have more time with each other, even outside the hospital.

"Jaa… we can call your team soo we can have fun all together"

Yukimura laughed and stood up. "Instead of inviting them, how about it's just the two of us? A date"

Yuki flushed at his statement, but nodded shyly in agreement.
