Chance

J.K's eyes opened wide.The sight before him filled his mind with terror.Not one of his men were standing.They were all shot dead.J.K searched for his gun,but he couldn't find it.

"Looking for this?"Jonathan's voice was heard from behind.

J.K turned around.He saw Jonathan holding his gun.

"Sorry I didn't ask you before borrowing it."he said in mocking tone.

"When?when did you-"J.K's voice was trembling in fear.The side of Jonathan's lips curved revealing an evil smile as he raised his hand pointing the gun to J.K's head.

Earlier,when J.K held Jonathan by his collar and punched him,he grabbed J.K's gun from his pocket.Once the riffle was in his hands he signalled for Steve to leave with Sandriya.Steve informed his men to surround the building.He also ordered them to turn off the power,so the enemy won't know what hit them.This was the instructions Jonathan had given him before entering the building.

Once the lights were off,Jonathan loaded the gun and shot the men one after the other.He had faced enemies before.But he only used his gun as a defence.He had never once taken the lives of anyone.But today,seeing the blood and wounds on Sandriya turned him into a monster.He didn't hesitate even once to pull the trigger and kill the opponent.His men were standing out.He just had to give a command and they would have finished the job in a flash.But Jonathan wanted to kill them himself.Only then can he feel relaxed.

"Wait.Don't kill me.We can talk this through"J.K begged falling to his knees.

Jonathan thought for a moment.

"Okay.I will give you a chance.Run away"Jonathan said lowering his hand.

Immediately J.K took another gun lying on the floor and aimed at Jonathan.

'BAAM' someone shot him on the shoulder and so the gun he was holding fell down.

"How pity?My men all over the place.Even if you had managed to kill me you won't have escaped in one piece.You should have ran away when I gave you the chance.Now your only option is to die"Jonathan said as he came near him and kneeled beside him.He pressed the riffle against J.K's forehead.

"Please forgive me"he begged.

"I will"

"Than-"

"After you die" his eyes were filled will killing intent.

"I-"he didn't give him a chance to speak.He pressed the trigger.A loud sound was heard and he fell down dead.Hearing the sound all his men came running in.

Jonathan handed the gun to the head of the team.

"Clear the bodies"he said as he walked out of the building.His car was waiting outside.He mounted it and ordered the driver to go to the hospital where Sandriya was admitted.

By the time he reached the hospital,Sandriya was in the ICU.Steve was standing outside the room.

"Did the Doctors tell anything about her condition"he asked

"No Master.They have been checking her all this time"he replied politely.Jonathan made a call to Mrs.Andrews.

"Auntie.I have found Sandriya.She is injured.We are at Victoria Hospital.Don't panic.The Doctors are checking her"he said and disconnected the call.

Steve then took Jonathan to the nurse's office to treat Jonathan's wounds.

Though the bleeding from his nose had stopped he still had to get it checked.He also had minor bruises on his arms and legs.The nurse applied ointment and band-aid to the cut on his nose.Steve then gave him a set of fresh clothes to change into.

Jonathan cleaned up a little and put on the dress.

He then went to the ICU.After about 10 minutes the Doctor finally came out.

"Are you the patient's relative?"

"Yes Doctor"

"The patient is unconscious and she has lost a lot of blood.She has been taken to the hospital on the verge of dying"

"What are you saying?!"he asked nervously

"Well you see.The injuries in her body are just minor ones.With good care she won't even get scars.But-"the Doctor hesitated

"What is it Doctor?"his eyes became serious.

"She has suffered a severe head injury.She also has a fractured arm.The fracture is not hard to fix.But I am afraid she might lose her memory because of her head injury"

"Lose her memory?!"Mrs.Andrews said nearly falling to the floor.She had just arrived and had heard what the Doctor had said.Jonathan quickly ran to her and grabbed her.She started crying.

"And you are?"

"Sandriya's mother"Jonathan answered for her.

"Okay.Mam.Please don't panic.We have not confirmed it yet.We are not sure how severe her memory loss might be.We can come to a conclusion only after she opens her eyes.Lets hope that she regains consciousness soon."
