A matter of life and death

The birds in the forest showed a breathtaking display of flight, but not because of the occasional migration that happens between seasons, but instead of a bullet that rocked the entire environment.

Tae stood there motionless, although he didn't like those kidnappers because of all the atrocities they did to him, he still didn't want them injured or worse dead, for at the end of the day, he was alive because of them.

"No Tae...you can't stop now, you have to find your kookie and hyung, you can't be defeated like this, I have to care for my oemma, fulfill my destiny and live to tell this tale." He kept giving himself words of encouragement, trying his hardest not to break down at that exact moment.

After walking endlessly, his legs began to wobble and the injuries he had wasn't making life any easier, he could no longer feel his legs, scanning his surroundings he stopped by a large Oaktree that was big enough to hide even a person. He sat on the floor and took a much-deserved breather. He wasn't about to give up, neither was he about to let a crazy lady kill him.

He sat breathing until a thought came to his mind. He needed to tell family how he was, where he was, and who was the crazy person behind all this.

One special thing that Tae had about himself was his photographic memory, he had a good memory of things just by looking at them, who would have thought that that gift would come in very handy. He dialed the first number that came to his mind and the easiest to remember, praying that he picks up. After 3 antagonizing rings, Jungkook picked up:

"Hello?"

Tae paused as he heard his voice for the first time in days, he was hearing the sweet, honey coated voice of his Kookie.

"Hello? Is anyone there?"

He didn't know what to say, but to just cry, he quietly shed his tears as they ran down his face, trying to wash away the pain in his eyes.

"Hello...If you are not going to speak I'm going to drop".

Tae heard the sound of Jungkook's voice, the pain was clearly in there. He knew for a fact that he was crying recently, while trying to keep his cool over the plone.

"H...Hello...K...Kookie...

Jungkook felt like dropping his phone at that instant. Tae, it was Tae.

"T...Taehyung, my love is that you???!!! Where are you?!! What happened to you!!! Are you okay??!!"

The two of them bearing their all to each other. Nothing could explain the pain that they were in at the moment, nothing could.

"Pl...please Jungkook come and save me from this place.

"Don't worry my love, just tell me where you are and I'll come there right away".

"I don't know where I am, all I know is that it's a forest, dense but not greatly... and...I have something to tell you...the person who kidnapped me was...

Just as he was about to expose the monster amongst them, he heard a shout.

"Taehyung!!!! Come out, come out where ever you are!!!"

Li..sa. She was the last person Tae wanted to see at the moment. That could only mean that...the bullet he heard earlier indeed killed his know, last savior.

The fear ran through him. He quickly dropped the call not wanting to give away his location, leaving Jungkook in awe from the other side.

He quietly moved his legs, praying not to step on the fallen branches that laid on the floor. Any tiny sound he made would give away his location and also might probably end him in shallow waters.

Back in town, word had spread about Taehyung's sudden kidnapping. People who loved him wept for him, people who didn't like him held a huge smirk on their faces. Hoseok was at his worst. He had lost a large amount of weight due to the stress, but he always made sure not to reveal anything about the situation to his mom, if he ever did, that would be her end. So he kept everything in, trying his best not to break down. He would sleep in Tae's room, trying to feel him in his arms, remembering all the things they did together, praying for his return, unharmed.

It was already late morning when Hoseok heard a knock on the door. He slowly stood up, to see who was the unwanted visitor.

He opened the door to see a crying, yet smiling Jungkook.

"Jungkook what are you doing here..any news regarding Tae?"

"Hyung!! He is found, Tae is alive!!!!"

At that moment Hoseok thought his ears were deceiving him, did he say that his Tae was alive and well? Although he didn't want to believe that his nephew was dead, but that was still was a thought lingering at the back of his head all this time.

"How did you find this out Jungkook?"

"Hyung..he called me with an unknown number, at first I thought it was a prank since no-one was talking, but I heard his voice, my sweet baby spoke, he was in pain as I heard it from the way he spoke. He said he was in a forest, not too dense...I was going to tell the police about it, but decided to come to you first...look lets and tell them where Tae is".

"Stop..stop..stop Jungkook wait. We are not going to tell the police about this, look, I know you may not agree with me, but think about, what have they done during this entire case, all they do is come up with useless excuses to justify their inability to do their work. I'm going to find my Tae and its either you're with me or your not. That's final".

Jungkook stared into the dense, dark eyes of Hoseok and in them he saw a fire, so hot that it was burning the depth of his soul. He heard him and he knew what he said was the truth, the truth and nothing but the truth.

Its either they find and rescue Tae, or someone or something gets him before they do.

Taking a deep breath he finally spoke: "Hyung, lets go bring him back".
