There's a reason the saying that goes "no good deed goes unpunished" exists. Just because it's the morally correct thing to do, most certainly doesn't keep you safe from the consequences of those actions. For example; you see someone drop their wallet. You grab it and run after them informing them of their lost wallet. They suddenly twist the story and accuse you of trying to steal their wallet. They'll now act as if they've been robbed and attempt to press charges. Now it's suddenly a he said, she said, situation.
