[Surrounded by complete silence and darkness, the person slowly regains their consciousness, completely oblivious to their current situation.]
"Uggghhhh... why is it so dark? Agghh... What exactly happened...? what is this numb feeling in my head?" such thoughts rippled out, as I could barely even think. Taking a moment to rest myself, I tried to recollect the events which occurred. It was difficult but not impossible. "As far as I remember, I was clearly walking from an event and a ...Aaaa....?!" A sudden realization occurred to me as memories came flooding into my mind.
"Ohhh nooooo!! I won't be able to read the final part of my favorite novel!" my mind cried out.
Trying to calm myself down I decided that it wasn't the time for such things. I needed to focus on my current situation, remembering the events was of the utmost priority right now.
I tried remembering the events which unfolded. "Let's try and think for a second. If I remember correctly along the way to the subway I felt a gaze, not like those which people usually receive from strangers, it was more, what were the words??.. ahh... intense"
"But, other than the intense gaze something else was also weird. Hearing footsteps is a regular thing and nothing to be paranoid about, but those specific footsteps continued to trail behind me even when I was near a less populated area. I was sure that I was being stalked by someone, and in the heat of the moment, whether it was the excitement or pure recklessness, I rushed back to apprehend the stalker. Next thing I knew I blacked out". Frustrated I tried to scream but my voice wouldn't come out, only a thought.
"Anyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"
Being in such a situation I thought of blaming myself for my weaknesses, but with each passing moment even thinking about it was troublesome. So I decided to think about what was going on with me.
I was able to sum up the situation, but the bigger question was, what was happening to me right now? "Why was I conscious at the moment? Was I lucid dreaming? or have I fallen into a comatose? or worse dead". Such thoughts lingered in my mind as I was speculating over my situation. I was thinking hard trying to imagine, but nothing came to fruition, so lucid dreaming was not the case. Being in this state, I thought my family was worried about my situation, if I even had one. My memories were very deranged and only a few vivid things could be remembered.
Frustrated I wailed, "Anyaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"
Taking a moment to rest myself I decided to take it one step at a time.
"Ok now if I remember correctly:-
-I'm clearly a human Being.
-I was... am a student who is into novels... Is no use being negative, right?
-I've got sharp senses... not sharp enough to know what caused the blackout, though
-I'm slightly brave or really impulsive.
-I'm a weird person.
-And I am a... male?? Female?? Apache attack helicopter? No clue and not really important right now.
-I've got a family... 100% sure, right?... 90% sure, aaaah... 75% sure?... ok, 50-50 I guess. 60-40."
There was nothing more I could do except for wait.
[3 hours passes by.]
I was glad that I was able to think but the situation was really boring and I couldn't sleep to hasten the time.
"WHY CAN'T I SLEEP!!! WHY CAN'T I *CRACK* SLE-..." My thoughts were interrupted by a sound in this deafening silence. "Wait what was that sound, it sounded like a *crack* there it is again...hmm?? Why does it sound like that? Wait are the doctors operating on my skull!?! God Bless!! I'm not dead!!! Well, modern medicine sure has come a long way to think that they would be able to, wait it isn't the time to think about that!!... *crack*... I'm scared now... there wasn't supposed to be that many cracking sounds were there...*crack* I guess they are really going at it huh?!"
"No, I need to be more positive I guess it is part of the trea-*crack*-tment so I shouldn't be so scared... what could go wrong I mean I still have my consciousness *crack* and as long as I can think I'm ok so I guess it's *crack* it's okay for me to *crack*....*crack* STOP MESSING WITH MY SKULL!!!!!...*crack* F*ck!!"
I had nothing better to do, so I decided to count to see the time difference between each sound.
"10798, 10799, 10800!! Ok, approximately 3 hours since the operation and the last crack... my counting isn't really paced properly. Well, I'm not dead yet so...Good job!! I guess." Though the darkness and silence started to creep up to me, and with the only source of recreation gone, I was getting a bit scared. But the only thing I could think of was that the operation was successful and I only had to wait until I regained consciousness.
Until suddenly,
*crack*
That sound crept back!
Thoughts began to rush my mind, "Noooooo!!!! Why?!! No more skull cracking, please!!!! I promise I won't do anything wrong, I won't ask for anything so please don't jinx me!! ...Phew... *crack*...Anyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!"
[Many many hours passed]
I was feeling mentally tired, the deafening silence, the consuming darkness, the solitude, no feeling of any sense. I felt sick. I also couldn't feel most of my body. Until a few moments later I felt a warm ray on my chest. There was no light. Only a warm feeling."It feels nice ... I feel slee..." I finally dozed off.
*Bzzzttzz ztttzt tzzztt* *crackle*

[Days pass as the person was stuck in darkness and silence. They were only able to feel the warmth and cold when the days passed. Such isolation could be dangerous to someone's mental health, so in order to amuse them self, they decided to make stories when they were awake, in order to hold on to their last shred of sanity.]
"I-I... I can't Fredrick!!!! Lady Josephine would never agree to this relation", wailed Gerald as he looked away in utter sadness.
"Lady Josephine doesn't need to know. You're the only one apart from my friend William who knows about this secret. You know I can't tell Josephine, for I would lose-",answered Fredrick before he was stopped by Josephine who suddenly appeared, "Lose what Fredrick, your engagement to me? Your WEALTH?, Your LAND? Or perhaps, your STATUS!!!"
Suddenly a white-bordered square with a transparent greyish pattern appeared. It had some words written in front of it. "AHHHHHHH !", I shrieked surprised by its sudden appearance.
Just then a bright light streamed into my eyes, the sound of running water and birds chirping in the distant grew. It took a few moments for my eyes to grow accustomed to the light, the snow surrounding me glistened a pure white and the waterfall in the distant roared with pride. The trees growing in the distant, danced with the wind and the clouds floated lazily in the ever-expanding sky.
I wanted to cry but tears wouldn't come.
I was alive.
The only words I could think of at the moment were-
"I'm aliv... Wait am I a cactus!!!???"
