"You are Charles Nightwind, the one presumed dead two decades ago," Cardinal Benedictus stated, his voice measured. "What brings you back from the shadows, and why have you taken control of this property?"

Charles gestured for Cardinal Benedictus to take a seat. "Sit, and we can discuss matters peacefully. But be aware that this place is shielded, and any attempt to use force or magic might lead to undesirable consequences."

Cardinal Benedictus hesitated for a moment before taking a seat opposite Charles. The room was filled with an air of tension as they started the conversation.

In truth, it was a one-sided order to Cardinal.
