Muster Part 2

Entering the elevator again, Nile fiddled with the blue card.

Ding. The elevator had come to a stop on the third floor. Walking over to Room 305, he swiped the card and stepped in. Suddenly a blade wrapped around his neck.

"I wouldn't take another step if I was you." A husky voice whispered into Nile's ear.

"I wouldn't put a knife on my neck if I was you, I wouldn't want to kill another joker," Nile responded. Silence passed and then the knife vanished from Nile's neck.

Then a small male appeared in Nile's vision. The young adult had silver hair but it was barely visible because it was covered by his black hood. His grey eyes, which seemly held no emotions, matched well with his hair, jeans, and shoes.

"Show me." The male order curtly. Nile titled his head in confusion. "Show me your wrist."

"Of course Ollie." Nile pulled back his sleeve to reveal a tattooed J. on his wrist. Ollie quickly grabbed Nile's wrist, stared at it for a while before staring at Nile's face.

"Who?"

"It's me, Nile, "Ollie's eye widened, he scanned Nile's face again.

"You've grown so much, I almost couldn't recognize you,"

"Anyone would change in four years." Nile smiled. Ollie patted the couch, signaling for Nile to come and sit with him.

Nile walked over to the couch while scanning the room, his gaze held on the busted camera on the floor. Ollie followed his gaze.

"Was it Felix?"

"Yeah,"

"So he still messing around with tech like the old times."

"Yeah."

"Is that how you found me?"

"No, that was me not Felix," Ollie nodded.

"So why are you here?" Ollie asked.

"Revenge."

"Revenge? Are you here for a contract?" Ollie titled his head sideways.

"No, I want revenge, revenge as a gang again, revenge as the Jokers" Ollie eyes widened.

"The Jokers was a one-time thing Nile, we were teenagers wanting a taste of the nightlife and your dad just thought us a few tricks." Ollie leaned back onto the couch.

"He's died" Nile whispered. "My dad died."

"WHAT!" Ollie shouted. His head spun around quickly to face Nile."Who killed him? How could someone kill him?"

"The Teeth, he left them so they killed him, held me, hostage while doing so." Nile paused, the images were coming back. "They didn't like the fact that he left, he was their right-hand man, after all. He knew everything, and he was great at what he did. So they kidnapped me, made my dad come and killed him right in front of me."

"Those bastards…." Ollie took a deep breath, calming. "What do they know about us?"

"Nothing, They assumed I didn't know that my dad was their henchmen. They believed I'm just a normal boy who lives in the overworld. They even think I'm in a mental asylum right now."

"Your dad didn't tell them."

"No, He didn't even know we were Jokers."

"Oh, you never told him, I thought..." Ollie trailed off.

"I know what you thought, I'm guessing the others think that too,"

You know how he was, Ollie leaned back in thought. "So what about the others?"

"Felix is getting Zi while I get you, then we would get Jaxon, I don't know about Kayden."

"Why?"

"He working as Teeth's temporary broker,"

"Oh." Ollie went back into thought. "Is this permanent?"

"What?"

"The Jokers, are we making it permanent."

"I guess."

"You wouldn't mention anything about the Jokers, the second we meet if you were just using me a contract killer. Your making this permanent aren't you." Ollie paused. "So you want me to become your silencer?"

"Yes."

"I'm in then," Ollie responded. "I miss the past." Nile's gummy smile came back. "I'm really not used to you smiling. Did that change too?"

"Don't worry, that didn't change. I don't smile much," Nile stone face came back. Nile looked back at the busted camera.

"I'm going to ask the hotel to fix that." Nile got up and left, living Ollie to his thoughts.

Meanwhile, this was happening, Felix was just finishing work. It was afternoon turning night and the restaurant was closing up.

"Felix. Boss is calling you." One of the workers said. Felix nodded and gently laid the broom on the side of the oven.

Knock, knock. Felix softly knocked on the door.

"Come in," A raspy voice responded. Opening the door Felix entered the office.

"Felix, it's a pleasure to see you after you disappeared yesterday." On the chair sat Felix's boss. Felix's boss was short and muscley. However, because of years of stress and lack of sleep, his hair had fallen out and dark circles surrounded his dark brown eyes.

Felix rubbed his neck. "Sorry about that, it was just that some people saw me and I didn't want them disturbing your peace."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I knew about that, no need to tell me" The man grabbed an envelope from under his desk. "This is your paycheck, all three years that you have worked here are inside here, though I don't understand why you asked me to do it like this here you go." Felix walked over and grabbed the envelope. He opened it and saw the blue credit card that laid there. "There is precisely 20,000 dollars in there."

"Your birthday is coming up soon right?" The man spoke again. Felix nodded. "Good, I bought something for you. You're about to turn 18. Become an adult. The government will now have its eyes on you, Felix, so be careful." The man took out a black ring box from a cabinet and placed it on his desk.

"You didn't have to do this." Felix's eyes widened when he saw the box.

"One of my hardest workers is quitting the job and their birthday is coming up. Do you think I was going to get angry at you for leaving and not get you something?" The man coughed a little bit.

Felix grabbed the ring box, opening it. Inside revealed a silver ring that had his name, engraved to it. Felix was about to place it on his index finger when the man spoke again. "Wear it when you not here. I don't what people thinking I made you my mistress or something."

Felix shrugged, placing the credit card and the ring in his pockets. "I mean I don't mind." The man's coughing fit turned worse.

"Do not say that again. Now go, I don't want to see your face." The man's face was now red.

"Whatever you say... Gibby." Felix rushed for the door.

"What did I say about using my first name!" Gibby shouted but Felix had already left the office. "That boy will kill me with just his presence."

Outside the office, Felix was giggling to himself.

"What got you so happy?" A co-worker asked when Felix came back to the kitchen.

"Probably got boss angry again." Another co-worker answered, to which Felix nodded.

"That's 50 bucks Jordan," The co-worked smirked when he saw that Felix nod.

"Come on Hord," Jordan replied. "I was just joking around."

"Fine, then take us out."

"To where?" Jordan replied.

"Where do you want to go, Felix?" Hord asked.

"To the nightclub on Jason Street. The cheap one." Felix answered, grabbing his backpack. "I have some business there."

"Is that so? Then let's go." Hord giggled, as they made their way to the Hord's car. "Jordan, Jordan, Jordan I told you not to debt with me."

"Whatever Hord, just drive," Jordan grumbled. Ten minutes passed and they finally made it to the nightclub.

After parking the car they went to the doorway of the club.

"La Cece," Hord read the name of the club it out loud. Entering the club, Felix was underwhelmed. It had been a long time since he had gone clubbing and he had been expecting some kind of party music with people grinding at each other. However contrasting to his thought, the club music was smooth jazz. People were drinking at the bar, or either chatting, sitting down while watching the stripping show above them. Everything was calm.

"Mellow." Felix thought. Looking around him he noticed that Jordan and Hord were nowhere in sight. He shrugged before making his way to the bar.

"Tell Sister Mary that Fefe is here," Felix said sitting down on the bar stool. The two bartender's eyes widened before one of them left. The remaining bartender quickly made a drink for him, ignoring the other customers.

"Here you go," The bartender smiled, sliding a bubbling pink drink his way. Felix smiled back and grabbed the drink, sipping it a little bit.
