Aftermath

After the terrorist attack, it was found that it was organized by a group of people who call themselves The Purifiers. Most of them had grudges about some of the guests attending and had wanted to 'purify,' the world of the arrogant and cunning people.

She couldn't blame them though, anyone would feel vengeful if they were mistreated for their goodwill.

After Yaorui had fainted from exhaustion, it was found that she was shot in the shoulder. Luckily, the bullet did not go deep and that she should be able to be discharged before she planned to return to school.

Samuel, as she would say, was a worry freak. They were on the phone 24/7, while they both rested in hospitals. She found him very cute when he worried over her.

While she was worry-free in the hospital, she took the chance to do her school work and work work.

She hoped that she wouldn't be behind in her classes and that her daily schedules wouldn't get too chaotic when she returned. Although it was likely that she was not going to have a recommended amount of sleep when she returned, she should be able to fit in some sleep at night.

Zhang Wenshi and her brother Long Ao too suffered from one or more bullets. None of which hit a vital spot. Her brother had suffered one, whereas her future sister in law was injured by two. Zhang Wenshi had gotten hers from shielding a pregnant woman. And the other bullet from coming to close to an attacker.

Her brother had fully deserved his bullet wound. Who told him to take on five fully armed men with only his hands and feet!?

According to the reports, there have been 57 deaths and102 injured. Elevators and stair doors were locked, preventing the authorities from arriving sooner.

But Yaorui only saw it as an excuse.

Apparently, 12 of the deaths were because they had fallen from the large windows of the 50-floor building. This was how the emergency services were contacted.

After several people had witnessed the fall of the first person, the police arrived and issued it as a suicide.

Evidently, no one had thought to look up.

It wasn't until a couple fell down together was the authorities smart enough to look up and see the shattered windows.

Guess the shattered glass on the ground was a big clue to look up.

Hu Angli, surprisingly did not even have a drop of blood on him.

The anchorman reported that he was unscathed despite having played a large part in the defeat of the vengeful group. He was said to have been frighteningly calm and collected after the bloody scene and only showed a response after reportingly preventing Yaorui from hitting the ground.

Experts claim that his late response was due to the trauma of it all, her fainting had triggered the pent up emotions to escape or unleash. As the professional had said.

But to her, it was something more. To her, it seemed like Hu Angli was already used to the deaths and murders.

There was something fishy about him.

And she got the feeling that she shouldn't know.

The venue where the event was held has shut down, no longer accepting gigs and has become a highly sought after spot for superstitious people such as ghost hunters and exorcists.

Her weapons were returned to Wenshi. And her thanks were already given to everyone that had the guts to stay and help out.

The news of the massacre had not spread worldwide, at least not yet. Two days later, when some families had come to retrieve the body of their relative(s), they found that the same carvings had shown up on the body as the first worldwide massacre. Another two days later and the remaining bodies disappeared, never to be found.

At least the authorities did not dig up any graves this time. She'll give them that.

It was later when she bothered to check the news on her tablet did she find out that similar occurrences had happened all over the world during the Christmas season.

All of them were orchestrated by The Purifiers.

Honestly, though, she wasn't all that surprised. It was clear that all deaths will never happen in the same place.

Yaorui was currently on the phone with Samuel while she searched the internet for some weapons.

Before, her father had never let her get her own weapon despite knowing that she could wield one perfectly fine. After using Wenshi's weapons, Yaorui decided to get her own.

Later she found out that there were suicide bombers in some of the world's most famous places including, New York City's time square, Disney world and land, Dubai, Bangkok, London, Moscow, Cape Town, Las Vegas, Sydney, Taipei, and many other places.

In total, a minimum of 2 million people died at the bombings.

Several people had visited her and her fellow colleagues from the battle to present gifts to them as a form of gratitude.

What she looked forward to most was the visits from the children that she had saved, so that she could rub their affection, in her friends' faces.

That was the life.

By now, Prince Sean had already returned to his home city, and Samuel being Samuel, was jealous over the fact that he had three adorable little sisters while he was left with a clingy big sister.

He was jealous enough to ignore the fact that both Hu Angli and Prince Sean seemed to take an interest in her, although Prince Sean's infatuation was more of a fan's than a lover.

Though Hu Angli was a different story.

For now, life was good, minus the injuries, but other than that, everything was great. Except for the fact that Samuel wasn't with her.

She was due to return to China soon with the others. Her flight was the next day at noon.

Yaorui had one final check-up before her flight, though that wasn't going to do anything to stop her from running back into Samuel's arms.

By now, Samuel's arm had fully healed and was now good as new. All that was left to heal was just his one broken rib.

. . . .

A sleek black limousine pulled up to the front of the towering ten-foot gate.

Closeby students gathered around to take a look at the new guests, curious about the new arrivals.

Little did they know, the guests weren't new at all.

Song Gebao and Lu Sheng Rong stood front and center with Ran Jiexu, Mu Jian Nu, Kahn Oulong, Kahn Yexing, Kahn Shen, Lu Zhi Sai and Zhang Mao Rong. These boys were the top students at their school.

The twins Kahn Oulong and Kahn Shen were class clowns but held the highest academic mark in Chemistry.

Kahn Yexing, a human calculator capable of calculating the hardest equations at the speed of light.

Ran Jiexu, a top-notch engineer.

Mu Jian Nu, a culinary genius as well as a negotiator that got everything he wanted with nothing but words.

Zhang Mao Rong, the author of several of China's bestsellers and a self-made billionaire specializing in literature and history.

The boys were seven of ten of the school's male legends, otherwise known as the Ten Tens, the other three were Li Long Ao, Hu Angli, and Zhou Aonu (the male cousin of Yaorui currently in a coma). Ten males all with a ten outta ten ratings.

Lu Sheng Rong, a legend in the field of sports, with several championships from each and every sport, name any sport, she's done it.

Song Gebao, a hacking goddess and a tech guru. She could make electricity from sand in the snap of a finger. FBI? Pfft, that's nothing in her books.

These two including Zhang Wenshi, Yaorui, and her female cousin Zhou Zhangmin, were the Famous Five.

Then there was the Li Family, otherwise known as the Legendary Li's. A perfect family where all the members were geniuses of their own right.

Hu Angli and Li Long Ao emerged from the midnight black limo, followed by Zhang Wenshi and Li Yaorui.

"We're back,"
