The Fight in the Partys Bar

"Hey lady, bring all the alcohol you have got" a middle aged man with a ruffian look approached the counter. He wore a black vest with brown coat over his shoulders and brown pants which was drenched in water and sweat giving off a repulsive salty stench.

Makino was not new to the bar bussiness. Just a glance was enough to figure out what kind of person the other party was and this new guy was definitely not good.

"Sorry sir but we are out of stock."

The man looked at the crowd in the bar, especially the alcohol they were enjoying.

"But it is doesn't seem so."

"Sir, that was the last of it" she replied politely.

"Oh is that so" the man's expression grim, "Boys, go to the back of the store and confiscate everything there."

Following the man's orders, six of his men started moving.

"Sir, you cannot do that."

"Oh miss, we can. Let us check if what you are saying is really true" the man half-smiling pronounced in a mocking fashion.

"Stop. Please stop" Makino pleaded but the men wouldn't listen to her.

Seeing that, the people in the bar stood up. But.....

"It would be in your best interest of you keep shut and continue with your own job. We are from the Red Skull Pirates. Our captain has a bounty of 5 million Beli. So just sit and act as nothing's happening here."

Red Skulls were famous in the East Blue. A new group of pirates created under the leadership of Captain Skuller who were making a big name. Their portfolio included destroying marine ships, ravaging small villages and murdering more than hundred civilians.

Hearing the name of such a gang, everyone sat down silently. They didnot dare to go up against a famous pirate who has bounty on his head.

Makino tried to stop the men but was pushed aside.

"Stop resisting lady. You should have just gave us what we needed" the man laughed "But still, it's not like we would have paid for it. Hahahahahaha-Guh!-"

The man wasn't ready at all, a punch hit him straight on his face sending him flying to the wall. Everyone present looked stupified as the fist retracted back to a small figure who dared to go against such a notorious man. With straw hat on his head, the boy looked angrily at the man who was now trying to stand up.

"You. You brat. You are going to die. You just don't know whom you have angered" the man chided.

"I do not care who you are. But if you hurt my friend, I will send you flying" Luffy proclaimed.

Seth who was seeing the development was enjoying it. It was so Luffy-like. Not caring about who or how powerful his opponent was, he will strike if they hurt his nakama. In the original story, he didn't even care burning the flag of World Government at Enies Lobby, turning into an enemy of the whole world or punch a Celestial Dragon at Sabaody just for the sake of a single friend.

Seth could have intervened earlier but he wanted to see Luffy's reaction: how he will judge and how he will react. And he was satisfied. The Luffy in this world is the same as in the original work.

"Kill him"

Men charged at Luffy with swords but each one was sent flying with a single punch.

"What the hell is with his arms?"

Someone shouted before being knocked out. Luffy's hands extended and retracted beating whoever came near him. He jumped from one person to another, knocking every enemy present.

The leader of the group seeing his men pummeled like insects grew impatient. He was sure that he will also end up like others if he were to charge in but his pride didn't allow him to run away like a coward, especially not when his opponent was a young boy. Just then, his eyes fell on Makino sitting on the ground.

"You just wait-" he thought to himself, running to Makino and pointing a gun at her head "Stop fighting if you want her to stay alive."

Seeing Makino in a precarious position, Luffy stopped fighting.

"Good. Stay just like that if you don't want her head to be blown into pieces. I really didn't expect to meet a devil fruit user here in a rundown town."

The beaten pirates started rising up. With a hostage, they were confident that they can beat the straw hat boy. They picked up their weapons and charged at Luffy.

"Don't you dare try or she will die" the leader threatened.

Luffy was also confused. If he moved, Makino will be killed and if not, it will be him.

But a white feather, like a saving grace, flew to the pirate, hitting the hand which held the gun. The feather was extremely sharp and had stabbed the hand, piercing all the way to the other side. The leader dropped the gun and held his hand in pain. But the chance was all that Luffy wanted. He dropped to the ground, with hands as pivot, rotated, kicking away all the enemies who had surrounded him. Then with a jump, kicked the leader of the group slamming his head into the floor. But he wasn't finished.

"Gum gum Gattling Gun."

Seth stood beside Makino and smilingly watched as Luffy destroyed the group.

It was evening and the fight had subsided long ago. One of the pirates took the leader away while the rest staggeringly ran to their ship. Things resumed as it was before the gang arrived and Luffy once again jumped into his food until he was full. Seth on the otherhand felt a little bit guilty.

Seth walked down the alleyway as he thought that had he jumped earlier, Makino would not have been in danger. Though it was his Otaku blood wanting to see his hero in action, he cannot forgive himself for putting his benefactor in danger. And then there was other thing he was concerned about.

(They will stop with just this, won't they? With their captain with a bounty over a million, I hardly think so.)

With his knowledge of One Piece world, it was very much obvious the pirates would retaliate in some way, but nothing drastic had happened to Partys Bar by the time Luffy left for his adventure. Did they somehow averted the problem or the pirates didn't come back for revenge? As he was walking away, Seth just assured himself that if something were to happen, he would jump in and help them but somewhere in the back of the mind, there was an uneasiness.
