My Piece

.....And that ends the first arc of the story. I really appreciate the support all of you have been giving me.

I know, I know, there are a lot of queries that I have to clear. So, I provide you with this Q&A corner that may help you understand my perspective.

Like the title sounds, this is my piece: My corner: Author's corner.

Let's just start with the first question:

1. Why the hell is the MC so weak?

Well, this is just the start of the story and I didn't want him to act like Omnipotent from the get-go. Everyone reads Fanfics for different reasons and many readers like the mc to be op (me too✋, me too✋). But when I started writing it, I changed my mind. I just didn't want my mc to one-hit KO all his opponents. And now the characters will gradually grow throughout the story. But don't be disappointed, the mc will be borderline OP.

2. Why is his devil fruit, Owl - owl fruit?

I never wanted to give mc a Logia fruit. So that left me with Paramecia and Zoan. Unlike many who may think that I prefer Zoan, Paramecia is my fav class. But I chose Zoan because of another reason.

Originally when I started writing, the mc was supposed to have Crow-crow fruit, making him a crowman. I had even drawn a logo and devised many unusual abilities but then I remembered Karasu of the Revolutionary Army. He had an ability that allowed him to turn into a murder of crows and so, I had to scrap the idea. Being a bird-watcher (hobby) myself, I wanted to provide mc with an avian fruit. So next was eagle, but Pell from Alabasta was a falcon, so that idea went down the drain too. So, another bird which held similar position in different mythologies was owl. So, that became my natural pick. I have a basic sketch of what his abilities should be and I hope I don't disappoint you. But it will take some time for mc to use those techniques. So stay tune.

3. Why did the MC not go with Luffy? He could have become a potential member of Straw Hats.

True, I thought about it too. But since the MC will become OP or at least very strong, he would overshadow other members of the Straw Hats, especially Luffy who had to be the captain and I don't want that. There was an option where I could have turned him into a character who would hide his abilities and be a part of Straw Hats but I don't want to be shackled by the canon plot.

So, I turned their relationship into something similar to Luffy and Ace. Ace and Luffy, both were pirates, but even if they were brothers, they chose to create their own paths.

4. Will there be OC in the crew MC builds?

Well yes, there will be. Maybe two, or three. But right now, I have one particular character in mind who may join him but that won't be until much later when the story may turn a little darker. By the way, he is one of my favourite characters of One piece.

5. Will the story be harem or will it follow a simple romatic route?

Actually, I haven't given any thought to it. I am a big fan of harem genre, so this may change into harem. But even if it does, there won't be girls fawning all over him. At most, there may be three girls who may be attracted and I haven't given any thought who they might be. But believe me, it won't be the driving force behind the story.

6. And at last, well this question is rather due to my own stupidity. Did you forget that Luffy can't be injured by the bullets?

I won't make anything up. I really forgot that detail while writing the story. I am sorry, I should have paid more attention. When Ryofu pointed it out, I thought of editing it but an idea struck me.

Seth was completely tired and confused and was in pain. Do you think he has the liberty to think so rationally in that moment? I don't think so. He just shouted to stop the pirate from killing Luffy (though it wouldn't have affected him) and in doing so, involuntarily used Conqueror's Haki.

I think it fits well. So I left it just like that.
