"Whoa! Big Bro, your bounty is high!" Luffy said with a star on his eyes.

They were currently inside a bar at an island one week away from the Goa Kingdom. Luffy and Ace are currently staring at Gid's wanted poster on the wall, they were surprised to see their teacher's bounty.

How much an average bounty on east blue? just three million! How much the highest bounty on east blue? just twenty million!

Yet their teacher's bounty reaches a whopping 50 million, how can they be not surprised?

"Big Bro, how does a person's bounty determined?" Luffy asked with a curiosity-filled tone, his eyes glistening with stars in it.

Hearing Luffy's question, Gid just let out a sigh.

'This is gonna be a long one...' he thought, Gid then takes a deep breath and began his explanation.

"Based on my knowledge, Bounty set based on several factors:

-The threat of a person's observed combat abilities

-Further criminal acts beyond the initial one;

-Inspiring criminal acts when provoked or inciting others to act 'criminally', like the revolutionary. And;

-Having knowledge deemed illegal by the World Government.

Occasionally, a designated amount on a bounty may increase if the criminal in question has committed crimes of considerable magnitude that goes beyond the crime(s) committed beforehand that earned them their initial bounty.

Since the Marines can only issue bounties based on their knowledge of the criminal in question, a bounty may not necessarily reflect the true threat of a person. In some cases, due to a miscommunication or a piece of unreported information, the bounty may end up being much higher or lower than what the criminal deserved for their actions. Regardless of the discrepancies, bounties are still treated as a way to determine a person's average threat level, is the one facet of society that can be easily compared. Stacking them against averages helps determine threats in relation to location; for example, the average bounty in the East Blue is 3,000,000, so a noteworthy one there would be 10,000,000 or more."

Ending his explanation, Gid looking at Luffy's confused face. 'Really?' he thought.

"Big Bro, then what about Grandline? are your bounty is considered high on the Grandline too?" Ace curiously asked about something along the line of 'Are you considered strong on the Grandline too?'

Hearing that, Gid cannot help but twitch. 'This kid, watch how I fix you later.'

"As far as I know, the 'rookie' on Grandline only can be praised as 'noteworthy' if they have a bounty of a 100,000,000 Berry."

"Okay, enough with the question. watch for your target, you got nothing to eat if you're not able to capture them." Gid quickly said before they can ask more questions.

Both Luffy and Ace turned their head to look at the people on the corner of the room and the one on the table near the stair. One of them was curly and brown haired, wearing an eye-patch, and a bit burly, this one is one-eyed Tim. While the other was have a buzzcut hairstyle, wearing a short-sleeve shirt and instead of a palm, there was a silver-colored hook on his left arm.

They have been searching for their prey for two days, and they got frustrated because of it. Without further ado, they approached them.

The fight didn't last long, Ace just need three moves to immobilized his opponent, while Luffy with his eagerness to try his new moves immediately uses a big move, one big uppercut.

"[Gomu Gomu no...]"

when Luffy approached the One-eyed Tim, he just says 'Fight me!' then just like that he attacked him.

"[...Gazelle Punch!]"

The poor one-eyed Tim flies through the roof and landed outside in front of the bar, unconscious, with his jaw cracked and he lost quite a few of his teeth.

After the fight, we brought both of Ace's and Luffy's victim to the Marine office nearby. Ace and Luffy exchanged them with the money while Gid was waiting at the outside.

"Tonight we're feasti- auch, what was that for?" Luffy said excitedly before his head got smacked by Gid.

"We have to buy new training tools for us, don't you want to become stronger quickly?" Gid said, clearly annoyed by Luffy's antics. Ace just laughed at the side before Gid smacked him too.

"What was that for?"

"Your smile makes me annoyed."

They proceed to went to the market, they looking left and right to find an adequate tool for their training. It's not until they passed a weapon shop Gid thought of something.

'I've learned a bit of swordsmanship from shanks and marksmanship from Yasopp, should I buy a weapon or two? Maybe it will compensate me for my lack of raw strength...'

"Yo kid, what will you do? how will you compensate me? my clothes are all dirty because of you."

Gid snapped out of his thought when he heard those typical small-time villains cheesy line, his eyes darting around looking for the sound owner.

"It's your own fault, you're not even looking straight when you're walking." at that time, Gid saw someone which confronted the one who said the cheesy line earlier. He has a rather burly body, long black hair that reached his shoulder and wearing black pants and a leather shirt.

'Isn't that the one who almost caught me off guard? one of Dadan's men?' thanks to his memory training taught by Benn Beckman, he easily remember things even though not as monstrous as Benn Beckman's eidetic memory.

'What is he doing here?'

"You dirtying my clothes and now you slandering me? you're seeking death! Men, hold him for me!" the small-time-villain person commanded his men to capture Bontenmaru.

Unwilling to be captured, Bontenmaru retaliated fiercely. The final result was the small-time-villain and his goons were defeated and unconsciously laying on the ground while Bontenmaru stood upright, it will look awesome if he's not beaten black and blue as well as his unrecognizable face.

"They're all weak" Ace said, while Luffy just nodded at his remark.

"But he got guts," added Gid, both Luffy, and Ace nodded at his remark.

"Out of the way, I, the Giant fist Borjack want to pass through!" A big man more than two meters in height flaunting his name and swaggered on the street. He's not even stopped nor went around the body of the small-time-villain's goons and instead step on them, even Bontenmaru was slapped to the side.

"Ace, Luffy, you two take that burly man earlier. He's Dadan's men and the one who found your hat when it missing several months ago." Gid said and approached Borjack, it seems like he's going to avenge Bontenmaru to the two of them. But...

'I remember that Borjack has the Bounty of 11 million, I need money to buy weapons. So, it's rude to reject money when it comes to you, right?'

"I'll do it!" Luffy dashed quickly when he heard that Bontenmaru was the one who found his hat.

"Oi Savage Man, kneel down and lick my shoes." Not want to waste time with this Borjack, Gid jumped immediately and kick him in the face.

'[Side Fang]!'

like a kite that got caught in a storm, Borjack blasted through the town and landed in a pigpen.

"That was what I called swift victory~"
