Main Chapter: Mou Lin vs Ming Xie. Former General vs Former Captain.

Ming Xie and Mou Lin stood a few feet apart from each other.

While Tan Cui was being lively with her classmates. Talking about all sorts of things with them.

"I guess I should get serious, huh, Teach."

Ming Xie said as she got into her stance. Her feet shoulder-width apart and her hands raised. Her dominant, right arm, in front of her left. Her hands clenched but with her index and middle finger slightly further out.

"You could give your instructor a break, you know."

Ming Xie only gave a battle-hungry smile.

"First Hunt, Fear."

Ming Xie took off, fast, but not as fast as Tan Cui. Mou Lin caught her fist with a cross block but was pushed back.

Stretching out his fist he met Ming Xie's second punch. The force behind the punch screaming out its might as it clashed against his fist.

"The Ten Hunts to the Firmament, huh. It has been a while." The gaze in his eyes complex. Mou Lin met punch after punch Ming Xie threw out without pause.

Though every one of them was visibly pushing him back. And with the last one, she blew him off the ground sending him back as if he had jumped back.

"Second Hunt, Weakness."

Ming Xie sped up and she landed where Mou Lin would before he did, and her foot connected with his side. This time Mou Lin was actually sent flying.

Immediately he activated his innate talent. The glow returning to his eyes just before;

"Third Hunt, Concern."

The moment Mou Lin landed he had to jump back. Ming Xie crashed down from above her fist smashing the ground sending rocks and dirt flying.

"Am I a bad teacher?" Mou Lin seriously wondered to himself.

Ming Xie righted herself, her eyes looked more than a little unfocused. Streaks of red had begun to fill her white hair and red flecks surfaced from time in her eyes.

Ming Xie took off and Mou Lin bent his body back as soon as she did. Ming Xie flew over him with a leg outstretched. The force she landed with destroying the ground like before.

Springing off again she appeared before Mou Lin. Their fist connected with each other and Mou Lin felt his arm go numb. As he dodged the next set of strikes.

Clashing with her every time his arms were no longer numb. To test her resilience.

"She is an offense baby too. Well, I would be more surprised if those guys bothered to teach her any defense. So, many opening all designed to give flesh and take bones." Mou Lin furrowed his brows as they fought.

Then he stepped in, gripped her arm and threw her. Ming Xie could do little more than being flung but she caught her balance and landed on her feet.

"How many of the Hunts can you activate?"

"They said I had the potential to hit all 10 but I can only handle up to here for now."

Mou Lin seemed clearly impressed. And Ming Xie smiled brightly but whether it was her increasing battle hunger or pride was uncertain.

"Teach, I don't think I can wait much longer."

Ming Xie shot off again and smashed the ground before Mou Lin. A shower of dirt obscured her.

Her fist shot out but Mou Lin dodged by a hairbreadth. Then his knuckles struck her wrist. He was using Xuan Yu's style again. Dodging every one of Ming Xie's attack by a hair-breadth. Then he punched out toward her. Ming Xie directed the attack to below her collar bone and struck out.

Mou Lin's unclenched his hand grabbed Ming Xie's shoulder leaped over her and threw her.

"You should be careful of which openings you give."

Catching her balance Ming Xie landed on her feet.

"And where you recover too."

Mou Lin appeared where Ming Xie was, and she met him with a fist. As the two fists clashed Mou Lin swept her leg and grabbing her hand folded it behind her back.

As she was about to face plant with the ground Ming Xie smashed her fist into the ground. Mou Lin immediately moved away with her before the resulting rubble sprayed into them both.

Released her and then took some distance away.

"Why are these kids so ruthless to themselves?" Mou Lin wondered but it didn't take him long to guess.

Realizing that she wasn't even dirtied thanks to Mou Lin, Ming Xie laughed heartily.

"Fourth Hunt, Pain."

Ming Xie disappeared, Mou Lin's eyes glowed and a blow aims for his head narrowly missed. But the raw force of it was evident. It had been more than enough to turn a head to paste.

Mou Lin looked at Ming Xie whose hair was now fully white again with a strange gaze.

"Teach, really is the best. I can go all out without worrying about hurting you or myself."

"I thought you could only use up to the Third Hunt."

"Ah, I lied, plus I can't really use it. See, I could barely hold it for one punch."

Mou Lin held a hand to his head, truly tired. Seeing this Ming Xie laughed and went over to her classmates.

Mou Lin watched over the kids he was in charge of and smiled.

"It will be troublesome, but I feel more than a little happy looking at this bunch. Even if one of them did try to blow up the entire Academy Field. At the very least it will be fun seeing how such capable kids develop." Thought to himself. then with a more solemn expression as he looked at Seung Do. "Hopefully, I will never make that mistake again."
