I'm Really Sorry

When Lu Shan woke up, he saw him self in his room, then he gradually began to recall what happened last night.

When he tried to sit up he felt a great pain on his head,he was having a hangover as a result of the excessive drink he had last night, then he managed to leave the bed,went straight to the bathroom,and took a quick shower.

Coming out of his room, he saw his mom standing by the stairs with a cup of coffee in her hand , she was about climbing the stairs up to his room to give it to him, because she knew his head would ache badly the moment he wakes up, then she heard him Coming out of his room.

"Here have a cup of coffee."

"Thanks."

Then he took the cup from his mom and sipped from it as he walked to the dinning table, then placed the cup on the table, then he walked towards the door before he's mom spoke and he paused on his step.

"Son, hope you understand us, we didn't have a better option, besides Xinghe has been close to you since she was a little girl, and you care for her too, I don't doubt that you will be happy for a minute." his mom said

" Yes we've been close mom, I care for her, but I'm not in love with her, I want someone else,besides Xinghe only sees me an elder brother and I also see her as a younger sister."

The he looked at his mom and said

"this marriage will not work " then he left the house, went straight to his car and drove out.

Lu Shan packed by side of the road, took his phone and dialed a number.

" Are you free?"

Then the receiver answered " you know am always free for you."

"Let's have lunch " He said.

"Alright, I will meet you at our usual restaurant "

No matter how difficult it will be, he has to do it,and  because it's the right thing to do.

Hani walked in to the restaurant,looked around and saw Lu Shan sitting on one of the tables, then she walked to him smiling.

Lu Shan saw her coming towards him with a beautiful smile on her face, and in that moment his heart skipped a beat.

He didn't know what to do, he couldn't hurt her, but he has no other choice,his marriage registration is in few days time, so it now or never , then Hani sat down opposite him.

"What's up?, why is your mood like that, what's wrong?" she asked

he brushed off the question and said immediately "Let's order something to eat."

Immediately he signalled the waiter to come take their orders.

After the waiter had taken their order, Hani asked immediately .

" Can you tell me what's going on? "

"Let's have lunch first"

" I'm not eating until you tell me what's going on "

"Hani," He said taking her hand "I'm really sorry...." He hesitated a little then continued "I'm sorry but I can't keep my promise to you "

"What do you mean? " she asked.

He swallowed hard, bent his head and said " I'm getting married "

Hani didn't react, she just placed her gaze on him, after what felt like an eternity she said

" That joke is too expensive, dnt say such things again"

He sighed and said "Hani, I'm not joking, my parents already made a marriage arrangement for me, and even though I'm not in support of it, I still have to obey them"

"I'm so sorry, I'm really sorry,i didn't want to hurt you but I don't...."

Hani pulled her hands from him slowly, as tears rolled down her cheek.

Lu Shan felt a pang of pain in his heart the moment he saw her tears, he never wanted to hurt her, he never wanted to make her cry, but right now he is powerless, he can't abandon his family at a time that they need him most,

"I'm sorr..."

Hani stood up from her chair took her bag and left.

Immediately the waiter came with their order, but Lu Shan immediately dropped a bunch of money on the table and left.

Running towards Hani, he saw her squatting by the corner crying, slowly he walked towards her to console her, but the instant he touched her she stood up immediately, wiped her tears and said to him bluntly.

"If you think I'm giving up on you just like that, then you have to think twice, I'm not giving up cos you are mine"

Then immediately she stormed out, but Lu Shan didn't run after her, rather went straight to the parking lot, got into his car and left the restaurant.
