Some questions about writing

Often those who speak English as their mother tongue have questions:

1. Why are novels written in bad English, with mistakes in grammar and spelling, vocabulary?

2. Why don't they use literary techniques that make literary heroes brighter?

3. Why is their psychological portrait, emotional world not disclosed?

4. Why are they not using textbooks on how to write novels correctly?

5. Why don't they want to study?

Well, I will answer in my own way. I have English as a third language. Each Asian country has been occupied or colonized in one way or another by different empires. We had a different empire, so we know the language of another European empire and this language is not English. His main national, but his knowledge, in science was minimized, so the emphasis was on the imperial language. It is not english.

Nevertheless, I know quite well, spoken English and forgot the grammar of English, since I did not use English in everyday life.

Of course, an educated person should be able to write without basic grammatical errors in English. I admit it. But the reality is somewhat different.

I used three machine programs for grammar and style checking. However, my computer is not new, so now these programs are not loaded. This will probably be the answer to the first question. In addition, many people just love short stories, write because they want to share their stories, and poor English is not an obstacle for this. In addition, click-through views of a couple of hundred thousand or millions indicate that their stories are liked by a certain, large category of readers and at such a level.

Most of the readers are people who know English well, at their level, but in most cases this is the second, third or fourth language in which they write and speak. Usually a resident of the empire, always somewhat prejudiced against a resident of the former colony, who speaks the same language with him.

To be honest. This is not xenophobia, not racism, it's just probably the everyday lack of political correctness. This happens in the world, nothing new.

Who is to blame that a couple of hundred years ago, their ancestors invaded other countries, enslaved their cultures and tried to teach them their imperial language?

Of course, modern people are not to blame for this. This is how the circumstances developed. But some residue from imperialism and colonialism remained.

Why do they not use literary techniques, because everything turns out to be played, learning to write from scratch according to the rules of fiction are given to units. And when written according to the standard, the stories turn out to be not so funny and dynamic, dry and not interesting.

Why don't they reveal the bright personalities of literary heroes, why don't they describe their rich psychological and emotional world? Probably because they do not know how, they cannot correctly describe in words what they themselves feel and therefore cannot write what the literary hero feels.

My vision of the problem. And the words are used the same, because they do not work with synonyms.

For example, I usually know two or three synonyms in English, but the language is richer, there may be a dozen such words.

Moreover, specific phrases, which sometimes you do not know about, but they are everyday in speech, appeared, for example, 5-10 years ago. And they taught English in our courses, according to old textbooks, which are 20-30 years old !!!

Therefore, the language there is poorer, faded and formal.

There will not be much sense in using textbooks for an amateur, because while the author is rewriting what he wrote, the readers will leave, almost no one will wait for him. It's not a fact that after it gets better, more people will read it. Provided that he can lose the liveliness of his story.

Anything can happen.

Why don't they want to study? Not interesting, there is no time, I think that they are geniuses, they write a masterpiece at once, and many other answers.
