This is literally my favorite novel, anime and Chinese drama ever. And let me say, I've seen a LOT of things out there. I've watched every yaoi/shounen-ai/BL anime out there, and this tops it. Even though the anime had a very subtle gay tone to it. BUT BACK TO THE NOVEL! I loved it! It knocked me off my feet. The character development was fantastic, and plot was well-rounded with a gripping storyline. You feel what the characters feel, and you share the experience with them. It's a must-read! Also, for the fujoshis, you'll love the touchy-touchy stuff they've got in here.
Best ever ,Totally worth it. It may seem like a basic fantasy anime, but it has so much good content plot-wise and visually: the original novel already had an incredible story, with the humor, fantasy, side-romance, wicked heart-wrenchers, and ridiculously good plot twists; but the donghua brings it to life with its combination of hand-drawn scenes and 3D animation that makes it all so pretty and smooth, ESPECIALLY the action scenes. Since this story has a lot of combat, it makes sense to put extra effort into the character's battles and duels, but this was better than any other action-thriller-fantasy animation I've seen yet. So for my fellow action-lovers, give MDZS a go, because you won't regret it. (Even if you aren't into the xianxia genere, or have never even touched Chinese anime, you'll be blown away by how good it is. Happy watching!!)

I love it! If you told me back in September 2019 that I'll be totally obsessed with c novels.. I'd be laughing really really long. But now after watching "The Untamed", seeing anime version, reading a novel (3 times!) I have to say, that I'm addicted to those characters, to the story, emotions.. every time I see part of chapter, part of an episode it's like coming home. Damm I'm even crying every time I hear Wuji, that's how much this story got me. For those who saw The Untamed I highly recommend to read novel, there were few things I didn't get from watching but it was explained in novel.

Ha the MC is just hilarious and shameless. And the donkey, don't get me started on the donkey (you wanna know more about it then try reading it) Really think others should at least try it out!
