Worth Fighting For

I stayed in the Sect for a while before going back into my journey, I must say the disciples were progressing really fast, they will soon reach Elementary Stage, which was a good thing, I also did some Sect things that were needed for me to do, after that I got back in my journey, now what will fate show me?

...

In a certain place, a man and a child were looking at a coffin that was sent to the river, the man picked up a bow and lighted up the arrow with fire, he then shot it to the coffin and it started to burn, tears started coming out of his eyes as he looks at the coffin that now had started to burn down.

He then turned his head back to the child and hugged him tightly, "Dad why all the good people die first?" the child asked as tears came out of his eyes, "S..Son, If you had a garden with flowers!

Which Flower would you pick first?" The Father said as he can't think of anything to explain, he and his family were very poor, his wife died because of hunger.

He was feeling bitter as he thought of how incompetent he was, he let those scums do anything they want to their village, even to the point that they had nothing to eat anymore, After he had finished saying farewells to their deceased family member, they then went back home, "Father, I'm Hungry" the child said as he rubbed his belly.

"Okay, wait here," the father said as he went to the kitchen, on the table there was only a piece of potato left, he grabbed it and gave it to his son, and the kid ate it happily, he was happy to see his son eating, "Father, eat!" the kid said as he raised the potato, "Father has already finished eating, you go on, I will go to work now, be a good boy okay?" he said.

"Yes, father," the kid said with a smile, even though they just had a funeral he must still go to work as they had no food left, he wore his hat and looked at his kid one last time before leaving, he was a farmer and their farm was only a few hectares big, it was supposed to be a good harvest and the village would have enough food for the winter, but the damn land tyrant of this village raised the taxes to the point that they don't have anything left.

Some people tried to retaliate but they were immediately killed mercilessly, the landowner name was Match, he was known for being a tyrant and he silenced those who opposed him, he was also strict, if people don't pay taxes, the execution was the only way left, the villagers were living a hell on earth for a few years now.

Their days continued until one day, Match came to the village and started beating all villagers up, he didn't care and had already killed 3 Elders, it was said that he just wants to take out his anger and he had chosen the villagers, the people bared of getting beaten up when a woman can't take it anymore and spoke up, of course, Match didn't let anyone just speak up to him.

He charged at the female and raised his fist, just then when the punch was about to hit the female, a man stood up and took the attack for the female, he was hit in the body and coughed, Match got ticked off and directed his anger on the guy who blocked his punch, he kicked, he punched, he even called out his men to help him.

The man had many bruises and injuries all over his body, it was really scary to watch, "Can you all stop that now?" Just then a voice came from behind them, they saw a man who was about 20+ years old, yes! it was Jacob, he was just passing by when he saw this village and decided to see it and never would he thought that some tyrants were beating up a man.

He immediately tried to stop it, Match looked at Jacob and sneered, he sent another kick to the man, and turned his head to Jacob.

....

(Back to Jacob POV)

I sighed as I looked at this villain acting people, they really did a number to these people, I saw 3 elderly people lying lifeless on the ground, they were already dead, I had grown mature and didn't let my emotions take over me, but I still had anger in me as I looked at this group of villains, they started to encircle me, huh? are they trying to rob me?, I turned my head around and yeah they were really trying to do it.

"Leave the villagers and stop what you are going to do right now" I warned them, and of course, they didn't speak, they just sneered at me and took out their weapons, I sighed and I snapped my fingers which made them immediately kneeled to the ground, "I warned all of you but you didn't listen," I said as I shook my head.

I walked to the man who was bloody injured, I put my hands on his head and healed him, it didn't take long before he was fully healed, I then turned my head back to the group of acting villains, they were sweating buckets! "Please let us go!" Match begged, I raised my brows and asked: "Why should I?".

"Because this was our territory, and why would you help these villagers, they were our slaves" He explained not letting his pride down", I sighed and looked to the villagers who had fear in their eyes, then I turned my head back to them and said, "Because the one thing I know, Is some things are just worth fighting for." I again snapped my finger which made them fainted.

I didn't want to do some needless killing anymore, after that I then did my work, invited them to my sect, then opened a portal, before they left a man came close to me and thanked me, a kid also came and said "Thank you, Hero! I also want to become a Hero Like you! but I'm unworthy" he said with reverence in his eyes and disappointment, I smiled and said to him.

"A hero does not come from noble birth or is granted powers from the divine. A hero can be a warrior with a mighty sword, with a mighty name, who is capable of killing dozens of men, or a frail scholar whose experiences of war are only found in the books he's read. But one thing a hero must have is bravery, young man. For how can you save the weaker among us, if you are not able to put yourself in a position to help them? It does not matter whether your talents prompt you to pick up a sword or to pick up a pen. What matters is if you're brave enough to protect them..."

I patted his head and then he was called out by his father who bowed to me before they left, Time to continue my journey, now what will fate show me again, I said as I continued my journey.
