Aloph let out a yawn as he sat up in his bed. Quietly, he said towards himself. "Status."

It had been five days since the raid of his village. He hadn't talked to his family all that much. At most, he said thanks, good morning and goodnight. His 'family' just thought it was due to the stress of the village being raided. But, today. Today was the day he would talk with his 'family.'
He hadn't done much in the past five days besides resting. He did do one thing regarding the system, however. He had asked what Weapon Mastery did and he got the response from the system.
[Ding! [Weapon Master] is the skill that shows your proficiency at using weapons. Each level provides a ten percent increase in proficiency in the use of weapons. The skill, like all others, have an exp requirement to level up and an ordinary requirement. In this case, [Weapon Mastery, Level two] requires you to kill 100 living creatures. The requirement for exp is 1000. The exp can be acquired through training with the sword or through any other means. However, exp acquired through training can only be used to level up the relevant skill.]
This answer gave him quite a chill, but that didn't matter as today was the day he would venture into the world of cultivation. He got out of bed, walked towards his bedroom door and opened it. He then left his room with the door left open and walked into the kitchen where his mother and father were talking to each other. His siblings were most likely playing outside.
His parents had noticed him and his father was the first to greet him.
"Good morning, Cedric. How was your sleep?" His father asked him while his mother said after him.
"Yes, how did you sleep, Cedric?" Aloph smiled at their question and took a seat at the table.
"I had a good sleep. Thanks for asking." Aloph's face then morphed into a serious one before he spoke in a serious tone.
"Mother, Father. Today, I will be leaving as the mysterious old man told me to do. I only have ten years to reach the Perfection Stage of the Palace Realm before my curse reactivates. I'm sorry, but I must leave!"
Both his mother and father had a look of regret and reluctance, but they knew that even if he stayed, it would only be for another ten years before he died once again. After a moment of silence did the father speak up.
"Will you come back to visit?" The father asked in a tone that would make one think he had just lost a son and when you looked at the situation. He really had, almost.
"Yes, I will come back in two years. If not two then five. If not five then assume I am no longer alive. Do not worry though. I'm sure to make some friends along the way, so I'll make sure one of them delivers the news."
Siiiiigh. The father let out a hefty sigh before getting up from his seat and walking to his son's side and giving him a hug.
"I know I cannot stop you, I can only hope you return one day without the curse." His father appeared to be on the verge of tears, but as a man, he held them back.
His mother then too got up from her seat and joined in the hug, tears flowing from her eyes. "You b-better come back, Cedric, or I'll give you a s-spanking!"
There she went, crying again.
"Yes, I will return, even if I have to fight the entire world to do it!"
Obviously, they thought he was joking, but they felt happy with the thought of their son rushing back home at all costs.
Both the mother and father then released him from their hug, and just as he was going to say something his father interrupted.
"I know you probably won't need it, but take this." His father then bent down and grabbed from under the table a sword. He then stood upright and handed it to him, in which a system prompt appeared.
[Father's Will]
[A sword used in the family for generations to train and fight with. Though over the years it has deteriorated and it's power lost.
►Level Three artifact.
►+15% Boost in exp gain during training.
►The strength of the user is increased by 100% for 15 seconds when a condition is met.
►???
Condition 1. Your loved ones are in danger.]
Just as Aloph was reading the description, his 'father' spoke again. "It is called, [Father's Will]. My father always made me use it during training and the only reason I didn't make you use it is because of your curse, which would sadly kill you no matter what training you did. I just hope you can use this sword whenever you encounter danger. Okay?"
Aloph smiled and bowed towards his father.
"Yes, I will always keep this sword on me!" As he said that, within his mind, he asked the system what it would take to repair the sword.
[Ding! To repair [Father's Will] you will need;
2x steel ingots
5x sticks
1x Level 1 rune]
That's easy enough...
Aloph was confused as a level three artifact, while not rare was still something that an ordinary person could not have. How exactly did his family come to possess such a weapon? Well, it didn't matter. It was his sword for now. He would just need to ask his father for the two steel ingots and as for the rune, he could just make it himself. It wasn't complicated. All he had to do was remember the specific rune that he needed to use and use his own blood to write the rune on the sword.
So, when he put the sword off to the side and turned towards his father and asked.
"Father, uh, can I ask something of you before I go?"
His father only chuckled in response. "Of course, you're my son, I'll do anything for you!"
Aloph smiled as this pretty much assured he could repair the sword.
"I need two steel ingots, is that okay?"
His father had a look of puzzlement on his face before patting his son on the shoulder. "Yeah, it's fine. I honestly thought you were going to ask for something harder. I'll get you those two ingots shortly." And as a man of his word, he immediately left and returned shortly afterward with two steel ingots. He then handed them to his son.
"Thanks, dad!" Aloph smiled as he watched the two ingots be handed to him.
"What do you need them for?" His father asked.
"These? Would you believe it if I said it was to repair the sword?" Aloph said with a smirk.
His father only let out a hearty laugh before patting his son on the head. "If you're able to come back to life, why shouldn't I believe you!? With the family's sword in your hand, I'm sure it'll reach new heights! Now, get ready to go on your journey!"
"Yes!" Aloph then immediately went back to his room to get ready for his journey!
He grabbed his rucksack that was sitting beside his bed, the pouch for holding the dagger which he had gotten from the bandit. All he needed was some money and some food to start.
He attached the dagger holster to his thigh and left his room with the rucksack on his back, but before he left his room, he asked the system a question.
"Hey, is it possible to create something like a storage ring? It'd be quite nice to have one." He asked. hoping the system had a positive answer.
[Ding! Yes, it is possible! For only 100 Exp you can create a 1 x 1 x 1 m space within the system. Or. you can buy a 10m storage ring from the store for 100 Exp but beware. The storage ring can be stolen.]
Aloph had to choose. A storage space which no one but me can access, or a ring that is bigger, but can be stolen...He decided to ask the system to clarify something for him.
"How much would it cost to create a 10m storage space?"
[Ding! It would cost 1000 Exp to create itself, but if you have already bought the 1m version you will only need to use 900 Exp to purchase the 10m version and will take a day to expand to that size. Also, you will lose access to the space as it expands.]
After hearing that, he knew what he would do.
"System, give me a 10m storage ring and the 1m storage space."
[Ding! 10m storage ring bought! 100 Exp used!
[Ding! 1m storage space bought and created. 100 Exp used!]
The reason he bought both was that he would use the storage ring, but place the storage ring into the storage space if he even encountered someone dangerous that would potentially try to steal his ring. Of course, this had drawbacks. He couldn't access the ring with it in another space, so he would need to pull it out if he wanted something within it, but it should be fine for now.
He took the ring that had appeared on the ground and put it on his right index finger. Before he left his room, he still had a question to ask the system.
"System, how do you create the space for me to put my items in?"
[Ding! The system contains every law, including the Space Law. These laws can not be bought until you gain at least 1% comprehension of said law.]
Aloph was extremely surprised! Every Law? Doesn't that make this system omniscient?
And as if to answer his question the system responded.
[Ding! The system is not omniscient. For further information on the system, please pay 100k Exp.]
100K Exp!?
Aloph directly coughed up a mouthful of blood...His eyes growing dark...
"Sooner or later, I'll die because of this system..." Aloph wiped the blood off of his mouth, then, he left his room and walked into the kitchen where he saw his mother and father holding a single pouch of coins and some smoked meat. He took both and placed them within his rucksack, not wanting them to know he had a Storage Ring.
"There are 100 copper coins within it which add up to a silver coin. Make sure to use it wisely, son." His father said while his mother introduced the meat.
"The smoked meat is from the rabbits you hunted before, make sure to eat well, son." She said with a smile.
"I will! And I promise to return! Goodbye, Mother, Father!" Aloph bowed to them before coming to the entrance of their house and opening it. He took one look back at his parents and smiled before taking a step out.
"Here I come world, prepare!"
