Valor Tales (Chapter 2)

The rooftop was chilly, I got down as quick as possible. I started walking again, not to quick though, because my arms were sore from that old beggar. Across the houses, and a few blocks away was a small house, painted grey in colour, where I lived. I didn't really bother connecting with neighbours, they were quite boring as well. It was the holidays, a few more days until i return to the MAS (Magus Academy and Sorcery), I was beat. I lay down on my bed, as all the Magus books were left open on my desk and still unread for the Magi exam, which would qualify me as a verified Magi.

The cold outdoors got to me, and as any teenager would, I got hungry. I headed for the kitchen and decided to delight myself for a quick snack when I suprisingly saw Yanagi, munching on a bun. "Huh, you're awake Yani.. why?" I asked. Yanagi is an Esper user as well. She holds a weapon called the 'Orihalcon Trident'. That thing is a 180 cm long red rod, with three spikes with a small logo on the handle which is said to be from one of the successors of the War Of Faith, which was Kronus, The Life of the Spear. "You tell me, we barely have enough food for this weekend!" she shrieked. I tried to calm her down, well girls will always be girls I suppose.

We have one more roommate. His name is Aden. He was suprisingly a Vorhes user, his weapon being a bow, named 'Raijuu Basilisk' , a bow crafted from a material so pure, from mountains and mountains steep. The bow is said to have been from another successor of the War Of Faith, which was Verda, Life of the Arrows.

In this universe, it seems off but we magis hold strong faith onto our successors of the war of faith. There's alot to them then just history.

History states, there was once a ruler named Caligula Ferò, who was the greatest Esper user, his weapon was an Aestus blade, but far more taller. He was often referred to as Ra ( God of the sun) for his golden hair, and golden plated horse he would ride into the battlefields, as he swung his blade, troops fall knee first, and into the sand they were left. One day, Caligula suggested to his land which was called Abcasdon, where Esper users would wipe out all of the Vorhes users.

Vorhes users repelled the statement and soon preached that there should be balance between the two. Caligula, who was outraged, waged a war against the Vorhes and soon they war broke out. Vorhes was considered as an evil magi race to us Esper users, but times now have changed. Five men, named Kronus, Verda, Ifri, Kairo, and Sekine, were the chosen ones to become officers during this war.

The five men stood in their troop army, as they sent out one by one of the leagues to attack Vorhes users, or their main land, known as Avonray. Time passed as the men watched on, soon enough their troops were outnumbered. These five men bravely raced out to the battlefield to fight with all they have, an eye for an eye they said. They were brought alive sadly, back to Avonray. They were held on for execution by Yuvane, the greatest Vorhes user of all. Before death, they all had their share of words, but the most sad one was Kronus, which was :

"Hold the Esper brothers, the next blade carrier in the vain of Espers shall not suffer what we will go through, but for ye t to come, protect both balance or not balanced"

Well I did do my History research, so I memorized the whole text, hehe. Continuing the tale, the five were burried at Abcasdon, with their last words carved into large pillars of the main hall of Juyesov. The nation weeped as they blamed Caligula for the outrageous call on Vorhes users. Caligula was assasinated by a small town boy named Caeru. The boy fled to another land, said to be Aroncas, and sailed of to tell his tale.
