Escape and Disposal - Part 5

"O Lord of the High Heavens and Master of the Elements! Grant thy servant a meagre of thy boundless power so I may destroy the obstacles that stand before me! I beg you for thy servant is weak and only you can do what I ask. Amen!" She shouted with zeal and passion as she shifted her hands ever so slightly to make a cross, before returning them to their previous position.

"Hmm, hopefully, my Lord isn't still mad at me or else this would just be pointless," The princess muttered with an inkling of hope despite the uncertainty in her voice as she stood up and dusted off her hands.

But it would seem she worried for nothing as soon afterward a bolt of violent lighting fell from the Heavens and struck the barrier like a judge when they give a verdict. Destroying it before the troops stationed inside could even react or try to strengthen the barrier beforehand.

SWOOSH! BOOM! CRACK!

'Yes, I'm still Father's favorite, Hehe,' She smiled beautifully as she jumped like a kid who won a trophy, ignoring the chaos brought by her actions and the fear she instilled in the guards.

Who did not even have a chance to warn their superiors of what was going on as the barrier suddenly shattered and a bombardment of lightning bolts greeted them.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

'Gulp, just what sort of sorcery is this?!' The remaining royal guards wondered with awe and fear as they stood glued in their position like toy soldiers on a make-believe battlefield.

"Charge! What are you all gawking at? Do not you see that we are under attack and now is not the time to be standing like fools in the middle of a street as our siblings killed before us mercilessly!" Someone shouted igniting the fighting spirit within the hearts of the remaining royal guards.

"Princess, are you sure about this for once it starts there's no going back, and with that our opportunity to foster a relationship with Dreamworld?" Bentley, the advisor, and butler of the princess asked worriedly as he surveyed the battle at hand.

Which so far was in their favor yet who is to say things will not turn around and they will become the ones on the chopping board later?

"Yes, Bentley now stop acting like a scared cat and follow me to where our guests are waiting for us," The princess said as she flashed her butler a big smile and began to walk toward Beyond Starlight to meet an old friend and make new enemies.

"Sigh, I'll try Your Highness," He replied softly with a shake of his head as they walked towards a destination, craved upon the bloodshed of innocent men and women, all to fulfill the sick desire for that brewed within the depths of the very princess they served and adored.

'My King, what sin have I committed to oversee and discipline, a ruthless butcher disguised as a harmless little lamb dressed in fine linen yet soaked in rubies?' Bentley thought as he could not wrap his head around why Irene was so different from her siblings and every child he taught and supervised before her in his lifetime.

Meanwhile on the top floor of Beyond Starlight...

"Tsk, just what is the issue now?!" Morpheus shouted after nearly winning the argument with Noctis, "Sigh, Albert and Avery go see what the problem is outside and report back."

"Yes, sir," They replied as they glanced at each other before disappearing from the restaurant and flying toward where the barrier once was.

"It would appear I've won, Morpheus, so good luck with whatever is going on, for it's bound to be annoying. Fortunately, I will not be here to watch so, tootles and good riddance," Noctis said with a cheesy smile as he picked up Rin and teleported away with Charlie and Shadow.

"Just shut up and leave already!" Morpheus spat as he tried not to let Noctis words take hold of him, 'Relax, Morpheus everything going to be okay. Plus, even if he manages to escape, how far can he really run before Big Sis finds him and repays him for the embarrassment, he caused her.'

He thought with a creepy grin as thoughts on how to torture Rin popped in his mind like pop rocks before Dime interrupted him.

"Hey brother, shouldn't Albert and Avery already be~"

Knock. Knock. Knock. Crash.

"Sorry, for the mess but where is Rin Kurama?" A lady in all white asked politely as she stepped over the broken door and entered the room, "Oh and I believe this is yours."

She said as two terrified heads fell to the ground with a thud.

Coincidentally as the princess finally made it to her destination, it would appear Noctis has as well…

"Argh, damn you, Morpheus!" Noctis shouted to the sky as he punched and kicked the thin membrane that stood before him and his chance at freedom, 'Just what sort of idiot places an entire realm on lockdown over the slight chance, they have a clue to how to solve a problem they don't even understand?'

"What's the problem, Master?" Charlie asked as if he was not aware of the pickle they were in.

"Charlie, while I love you don't piss me off! Better yet try and help me find a few weak points in the barrier so that we can create a crack larger enough for us to escape through."

20 minutes later...

"Hmm, what's going on?" I wondered with a yawn before frowning as I sat up and realized a lot appeared to have happened while I was asleep.

"Oi, the kid woke up!" I heard someone shout as my ears began to ring, following the surge of incoherent sounds that assaulted me all at once.

"Aww, this is just paradise, wouldn't you say so kid," Someone laughed before looking up and sighing, "Welp, kid it seems it's time for me to go, so good luck and do try and comply."

"... just what is going on?" I muttered before swaying my head to the left as I heard someone call my name.

"At long last, I've finally found you, Rin Kurama or should I say, Ezekiel," A woman in an all-white dress wearing a mask with a man dressed as a butler standing behind her said.

Yet while strange for some reason she seemed familiar as if I met her before, however, no matter how I racked my brain I could not remember where.

"Do I know you?" I asked as the ring stopped and my eyes finally focused, allowing me to take note of my surroundings and the smell of burnt flesh and soot that lingered in the air.

"Haha! Do you know me?" She paused as if she could not believe I would ask her such a thing, "Bentley, do you hear this bullshit? It seems our friend here has forgotten even little old me, hopefully, this might help jog your memory a bit, Ezekiel."
