10 In your head

"..." Silence bestowed it's good graces upon Xuanmei.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Lan Helian looked at her with a deadpanning look on her face, leaned closer, pulled on Xuanmei's sleeve, and as Xuanmei bent down, she whispered, "I lived in your head before"

"Oh, well, uh... Ming's good," she said, pointing to the cat, while still slightly in shock. "Can you tell me about magic powers?"

Smiling, Lan Helian looked to the side, seemingly thinking.

"Many Gods were usually in charge of blessing a child with power at age thirteen, so many would cultivate before that..."

"Oh? That so? Tell me more!"

"The people were given a storage bag that had important items to the element that showed off, which, was basically the element they had control over."

Pondering for a moment, Xuanmei finally remembered what Ming said, recalling the words and hearing them like it was Ming telling her the system for the first time, as it clearly, and like an audiobook, nicely played in her head;

"Liquid, Heat, Metal/Resource, Psychic, Light, Darkness and control were all part of it. The elements branched off, and duel wielders could create new magic with these skills. Dormant heat users with liquid powers could only make snow, as they are not used to using heat, and haven't... Warmed up to it yet.

(A: Oh my gods i'm so sorry I think it's time of the day again... I pun too much)

People with dormant water powers, however, would create lava, or other types of hot magma, temperature depending on their mastery on the skill.

Water, Metal Resource and Psychic elements belonged to the elf community, Gods kept most of the elements except for the dark element, having at most three elements in one body. Demons, vice versa. Which, was pretty fair, considering dark elements were the purest (A: Oh look at the irony,) and so they were the strongest. Humans, being creations of Gods, could wield everything within the range of powers, but not more than two.

Some would be demigods, elf gods, or Elf-Humans and so on due to mixed race marriage. Even though they were half god or whatever other race the parents of the child mingled with, they were always looked down upon.

Strangely, if the humans were hateful enough, dark elements could develop and they would turn into a soulest, abandoning all former powers and being another, unable to ascend, version of a demon, where it branches off. Demons, through many centuries of cultivation, may be able to ascend into a demon, but soulests would never be able to."

"I see," Xuanmei said to Helian.

Thus, Xuanmei thought, maybe many theories would be formed about how, perhaps, all the races were linked.

By cultivating, many can can a feel of what their powers are first and establish their foundation, or so Xuanmei thought.

"Really?"

She looked intrigued while learning from Helian that cultivating could completely change a person, no matter it was before magic was bestowed upon someone or after.

Apparently, it was even said that idiots became geniuses in a day after reaching a certain level! Xuanmei's eyes glimmered as she asked Ming,

"Which level of cultivation do I need for people to think it's acceptable for me to turn into a smarter person?"

(A: YESSS! FINALLY, WE HAVE REACHED THE DOUBLE DIGITS!)
