53.5 Metal payment

*Ugh... Gods, there's school again and I'm staying up (again) because I forgot a backup chapter and now I'm going to die.

"Is there a way to prevent experiencing the pulse? Or, heck, a way to delay it?"

"There is, but it comes with a cost."

"Well, what is that cost?"

"The Meriandem runs on psychic elements. As long as you can use it as a bubble to surround it for the amount of time you need, there should be no problem at all."

"Do you have any idea how to improve your unstable psychic elements?"

"Surprisingly, yes."

"Sure. Let's talk about it when I return back to work, again."

"Are you trying to spite me?"

Xuanmei quickly returned to the bookshop.

"Hey, uh, is Yuxuan here? Like, in this establishment? Right now?"

"Nope."

Seeing Xuanmei run out immediately, HaRui raised an eyebrow and sighed in annoyance.

Busting open the dorm room door that she somehow found her way to, she asked the same question.

"She should be in her room." Lixing replied, tipping Xuanmei off.

Giving him a quick nod, Xuanmei went to see the person she had been searching for for a while now.

"Liu Yuxuan?"

The mentioned girl looked at Xuanmei weirdly, her questioning gaze falling on her as Xuanmei barged through the locked door.

"Teach me the psychic element."

"How about no. Not only am I busy, but I'm not supposed to teach, as I am a horrible teacher."

"What are you even busy doing anyway?"

Yuxuan sighed, muttering something about reinforcing the lock.

Turning around, she showed Xuanmei the L.E.D lights she was working on.

"There's still a bit of a problem, but if you can provide me with more metal, I'll help you."

"That's easy. Deal."

"Thanks. I never seem to find metal anywhere in this world. Not to mention it's not really the era in which they discovered much metal. It's always hard to look for in shops."

Bluey whistled. "Whoop, guess you forgot about that when you made the deal."

Yuxuan shrugged. "Get metal any way you want, it's none of my business, but you better fulfil your end of the deal."

"Don't worry. I'll uphold my end of the deal. However..."

"The lessons? It'll start tomorrow. What you have to do today is sit in the lotus position and feel yourself meditate, then, sink into your subconscious. Tell me what you see tomorrow and I'll see suit."

While Yuxuan talked, Xuanmei searched the Pagoda.

"I found some metallic substance with me, don't know if you need it, but..."

Yuxuan's eyes lit up as she reached her hand out.

Showing it to Yuxuan, Xuanmei glanced lightly at the material as YuXuan took it, examining it carefully before sighing in disappointment.

"Acceptable, I guess. Meet me in my room at three tomorrow."

*No, I'm not dead yet. Ha! Yeah, what a surprise. I am seriously commiting to writing this book. Somehow. Even with my busy schedule. (〒﹏〒) ah, I'm going to regret my life. Sounds like me, alright.
