Chapter 76

Naruto and Veritas' Late-Night Date

Naruto sat atop a tree, scribbling notes in his notebook while humming along to his music. His golden locks swayed slightly as the breeze played with them, and his legs swung lazily in the air.

💡 He was deep in thought.

💭 "If I mix nature energy with raw chakra in a controlled vortex… No, no, that would just explode. Maybe if I…"

🎵 His music played in the background.

💡 "Wait, do I have a limit? Probably not. But what if I—"

"What are you doing?"

Naruto paused his music, blinking as he looked down.

Shay Veritas stood below him, arms crossed, her ever-present smirk on her face.

Like always, she wore tight-fitting clothes that made men trip over their own feet and women roll their eyes in either jealousy or appreciation.

Skin-tight bodysuit? Check.

Curve-hugging pants? Check.

Hair flowing like she just stepped out of a high-budget shampoo commercial? Check.

🔥 Shay was dressed to KILL. 🔥

And Naruto?

Naruto was just trying to figure out the limits of dimensional chakra manipulation while avoiding the increasingly difficult challenge of keeping his eyes from wandering.

She grinned knowingly.

She knew exactly what she was doing.

"I was thinking about new experiments for my training," Naruto said, closing his notebook.

Shay hummed, tilting her head. "That's just like you. Always working so hard."

Then she placed a hand on her hip, giving him that look.

"But now, it's time for our date."

Naruto blinked. "Wait, we had a date today?"

Shay rolled her eyes and waved her notebook. "It was written down. I told you, but I bet you were too busy punching immortals or something."

Naruto rubbed the back of his head, grinning. "In my defense, they started it."

Shay chuckled. "C'mon, we're going out for dinner. Get down here."

Naruto stored his notebook into his storage seal before flipping down effortlessly, landing in front of her.

"What do you have in mind?" he asked.

Shay licked her lips teasingly. "Oh, I have a few ideas..."

Naruto felt his heart race.

💭 Wait, is this about to get spicy?

Then Shay smirked. "Haha, I didn't mean that. We're just going out to eat."

Naruto blinked. "Oh."

Damn.

Just as they were about to leave, Naruto stretched.

"I should probably shower first," he said. "I've been out all day, and I smell like battle."

Shay leaned in, inhaled dramatically near his neck, then grinned.

"I don't mind."

She kissed him again.

🔥 BIG MISTAKE. 🔥

Because now, Naruto had an idea.

💡 Time for payback.

With a smirk, he suddenly clapped his hands together.

💥 A make-shift shower appeared out of nowhere! 💥

Right in the middle of the forest clearing.

"Wait—!"

Before Shay could react, water poured from a summoned pipe system, drenching Naruto in an instant.

His shirt clung to his abs, his hair dripped down his face, and he ran his hands through his hair in slow motion like a drama protagonist.

🔥 Cue the dramatic anime water scene. 🔥

He gave her a teasing look.

"Oh? You're still watching?"

Shay's face twitched.

Was she embarrassed? No.

Was she annoyed? No.

Was she struggling not to jump him? Yes.

She folded her arms. "This is supposed to be a punishment, but I feel like you're just showing off."

Naruto grinned. "Maybe a little."

He turned up the water pressure, making the droplets spray even more dramatically. His hair flowed just right, his toned chest gleaming under the moonlight.

Shay bit her lip.

"...Fine. You win this round," she admitted. "Now hurry up, or I will join you."

Naruto froze.

Shay smirked.

Naruto shut off the water instantly.

"A-Alright, let's go eat!" He grabbed his towel way too quickly.

Shay laughed victoriously.

💥 Shay Veritas: 1

💥 Naruto: 0

Naruto leaned back in his chair, smirking as he admired the breathtaking night view of Istanbul from the rooftop restaurant. The city lights shimmered like scattered stars on the earth, and the air carried a hint of exotic spices and ocean breeze.

Truly romantic. ✨

Naruto turned to Veritas, who was equally mesmerizing, with her smug, victorious smirk that said she was still thinking about their earlier shower incident.

💡 He decided to tease her back.

"Not bad," Naruto admitted, tapping the table. "Any more surprises, my beautiful lady?"

Veritas rested her chin on her hand, eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I don't know… I'm kind of distracted by the boner in front of me."

💥 Naruto choked on air. 💥

"Excuse me?" he coughed, before recovering quickly. "It's not visible like your bursting boobs, so get your head out of the gutter."

Veritas gasped dramatically, placing a hand over her very much exposed chest. "Oh my! Are you talking to me?" she asked, feigning innocence. "Sorry, I was distracted by that large sausage."

She licked her lips.

"Did you say you were looking at my body and wanted to lick it? Because I would be happy to allow such a thing~."

💥 Naruto.exe has crashed. 💥

He blinked, his brain buffering.

💭 There is no way I'm winning against this woman.

"Yeah, yeah," Naruto muttered, shaking his head. This was a losing battle.

Veritas grinned in triumph, kicking her feet under the table like a cat that just knocked something off a shelf.

The waiter arrived.

Both casually placed their orders while the poor server tried to ignore the nuclear-level sexual tension in the air.

As the waiter walked away, Veritas stared at Naruto, her smirk softening into something… more intense.

👀 Oh, she was looking at him differently now.

Her piercing gaze traced over his handsome, confident grin, the way his muscles flexed subtly even while just sitting, and his mischievous blue eyes that held a depth most could never understand.

💭 This boy…

Veritas wasn't the type to get emotionally attached easily. If Naruto had been just another guy, she probably would have never paid attention to him.

But he wasn't.

He was powerful.

He was funny.

He was mature beyond his years.

And he knew exactly how to push her buttons.

And, unfortunately for her sanity, he was also very, very good in bed.

💭 Damn it.

Veritas crossed her legs, realizing she had a new problem.

💥 She had gone an entire day without jumping him. 💥

Her body was not okay with this.

Naruto, who had been sipping his drink, felt a chill run down his spine.

Years of battle instinct screamed in his head.

💭 Wait a second… why does she look like she's about to devour me?

He glanced at Veritas.

Bad move. ❌

She was staring him down like a lioness watching her next meal.

Her tongue flicked out, wetting her lips.

💭 Oh no.

Naruto's brain tried to come up with a plan. An escape route. A distraction. Anything.

But all he got was:

💀 You are already dead. 💀

Veritas smirked, knowing exactly what she was doing.

Leaning forward, she purred, "Naruto… Did you know the day feels empty when we don't—"

💥 "HERE'S THE FOOD!" Naruto interrupted loudly, clapping his hands together.

As if on cue, the waiter returned with their dishes, completely oblivious to the battle of hormones happening at the table.

Veritas leaned back with a smirk, amused by his desperation.

She took a sip of her wine, still watching him like a predator waiting for the right moment to pounce.

As they began eating, Naruto knew one thing for certain.

💭 I am not making it out of this date alive.

Veritas? She wasn't planning to let him.

The night air in Istanbul was cool, carrying the faint scent of the Bosphorus. The rooftop restaurant was perfect—lit by the soft glow of lanterns, with a view of the city lights that stretched to the horizon. The hum of conversation and soft music played in the background, creating an atmosphere that was both lively and intimate.

Naruto sat across from his wife, Veritas, still recovering from her earlier teasing. Six months had passed since their wedding, and in that time, he had grown used to her shameless ways—but she still caught him off guard.

She was like fire, unpredictable and impossible to contain.

And yet, she was his fire.

Veritas swirled her wine glass, watching him with that same playful smirk. "You're cute when you're flustered, you know?"

Naruto exhaled through his nose, shaking his head. "And you're dangerous."

"Mm," she hummed, sipping her wine. "You knew that before you married me."

"And yet, I still did," Naruto said, his voice softer now, his blue eyes shining with warmth. "Because you're worth every second of it."

Veritas paused mid-sip.

For all her teasing and confidence, Naruto knew the one thing that still caught her off guard—genuine, heartfelt words.

Her smirk faltered, replaced by something deeper, more vulnerable.

She put her glass down. "You're getting better at this romance thing."

Naruto chuckled. "I had some good teachers."

Veritas, for once, wasn't teasing him. Instead, she was just watching him, her golden eyes softer than before.

She reached across the table, taking his hand in hers.

"You know," she murmured, "even with Kara and Raven, you still make me feel like I'm the only one when we're together."

Naruto's fingers gently curled around hers. "That's because, at this moment, you are."

Veritas inhaled, something warm and unfamiliar spreading through her chest.

She had always known she loved him, but sometimes… he still found ways to make her heart race.

"I love you," she whispered.

Naruto smiled. "I love you too, Veritas."

And this time, there was no teasing, no games—just pure, unfiltered truth.

She stood up and walked around the table, pulling him into a slow, lingering kiss under the lantern lights.

It was a kiss that spoke of passion, of years to come, and of a love that neither time nor distance could ever break.

Tonight wasn't about chaos or teasing.

Tonight was just for them.
