I Am Going To Stay With You

Keiichi smiled, his fists were tightly balled up under the table. "Well, there are some things you should know about her. She is-"

"That is not needed. I do not need to know about her past." Takahiro interrupted.

"She could still be-" Keiichi had stopped as he felt Takahiro glaring at him. "Sorry."

Takahiro kept silent. Ryoma soon walked up to Takahiro and sat next to him. "Keiichi, what are you doing here?"

"I ran into Mr Ichinomiya."

"I see. Boss, have you ordered yet?"

"No."

"Let's have a look at the menu then."

...

Kahoru walked down the halls of the Yukira medical group and finished her rounds for the night. After doing her handover, Kahoru changed back into her regular clothes. Before she could even make it out of the building, her brother had flagged her down. "Kaho!"

Kahoru turned around hoping it was not her brother, her face was full of disappointment when it was him. Kenjiro's face turned sour as he realised his little sister was certainly not impressed. "What? Are you disappointed that it isn't your," Kenjiro leaned into Kahoru's ear, "husband?"

"Shut up, we don't about that."

Kenjiro laughed and took an envelope out of his pocket. "Nana won this at the arcade. We got spare tickets, so I might as well give these to you."

"What is it?"

"Two tickets to an onsen in Gunma."

"Two? When does it expire?"

"In four months."

"I'll find someone to go with."

"Go with Takahiro." Kenjiro grinned.

"Why would I want to go with him?" Kahoru pouted. "I'm going to go now. See you later."

"Okay, get home safe." Kenjiro patted Kahoru's head.

Kahoru started to walk home. She took out her earphones and put on music. She put on 'Chikai' by Hikaru Utada and looped the song. She walked home admiring the Tokyo scenery. Although, something did not feel right. She had felt like someone had been following her in the last few days.

Whenever she walked, the footsteps behind her had kept the same pace as Kahoru. She suddenly felt nervous and went into a convenience store that was on the way. Kahoru grabbed a basket and started to shop so she did not look suspicious.

...

Just as Takahiro and the others had finished dinner, Ryoma headed to the car first. After Takahiro and Keiichi split the bill, they headed outside. Keiichi gazed at Takahiro, "I am sorry about earlier," Keiichi then proceeded to lean into Takahiro's ear, "but knowing her, she is probably still a virgin."

Takahiro froze. His fists were clenched. He felt angry at the fact that Keiichi had told Takahiro something he needed to find out for himself. "Do you not know who you are talking to? Her husband." He glared.

"Ah, you're right. Guess she is bad in bed then. I guess I will see you two around." Keiichi laughed and walked off to his own car.

Takahiro stared daggers at Keiichi's back as he walked away. He turned around and hopped in the car. He slammed the door and Ryoma had jumped at the sound. He knew that Keiichi had angered Takahiro and did not dare to talk. One peep from him and he would be gone.

Takahiro grabbed his phone and called Kahoru. She picked up after the first ring. Takahiro was surprised that she had picked up so suddenly. He suddenly felt a bit nervous. "Hello?" He waited for Kahoru to answer, however, there was a silence on the other side.

"Kahoru, are you there?"

"Please help me." She whispered.

Takahiro's brows knitted. His face grew with worry, "Where are you now?"

"I'll text you the address."

"Okay."

Kahoru hung up the phone. She typed in the address of the store and sent it to Takahiro. As soon as Takahiro got the message, he leaned forward which scared Ryoma even more. "Go to this address."

"Yes, boss."

"And hurry."

The car sped towards the address and several minutes later, they arrived at the destination. Ryoma parked across the street and Takahiro hopped out of the car. He raced to the store and walked in. He walked past the aisles to find Kahoru. As he got to the back he had finally spotted her crouching in front of the snacks.

He walked up to her as she was putting the snacks into the basket. Her basket was nearly full. "What are you going to do with all those things?"

Kahoru jumped and turned around to the familiar voice. She handed him the basket. "Help me with this. You owe me."

Takahiro wanted to believe Kahoru was fine but her eyes were showing the opposite. He felt like he was being watched. "Okay, we'll pay and go."

Takahiro took the basket to the counter as Kahoru quietly followed behind. He paid for the drinks and snacks for Kahoru and they quickly headed out to the car.

"Kahoru, you go in the car first."

"Okay." Kahoru hopped into the car. Ryoma looked at the rear mirror to see Kahoru scoot over to the side.

"Kahoru, what are you doing here?"

"Long story."

"Oh okay."

After closing the trunk, Takahiro hopped into the car. "Let's go."

"Okay.

...

As Ryoma drove, the car ride was silent. Kahoru blankly stared at the buildings that she moved past. Takahiro was typing on his laptop. Kahoru glanced at Takahiro a few times. Her heart was beating quickly. His long slender fingers gently tapped the keyboard, his face has focused. Kahoru gazed at him and admired him.

Takahiro noticed Kahoru and stopped typing. "Yes?"

A flush crept up her face. She began to feel the heat rising on her face and quickly turned the opposite way. "N-Nothing."

"Okay." Takahiro carried on typing until they got to Kahoru's apartment building. Both Kahoru and Takahiro hopped out of the car. Takahiro opened the trunk and took out the bag of snacks and his suitcase. After closing the trunk, he knocked on the twice and Ryoma began to drive off.

Realising the car had driven off without Takahiro, Kahoru's nose crinkled and she raised an eyebrow. "Uh, Why is Ryoma driving home without you?"

A corner of Takahiro's mouth lifted, "I am going to stay with you from now on."
