All eyes turned to Rose, maybe she'd help Dandan.
Rose knew they were waiting for her to speak up, so she cleared her throat to speak.
"Thank you Anshu, thank you Dandan." She started. "I totally understand where Anshu is headed to as well as Dandan... Dandan is willing to take the risk for the profit while Anshu is trying to avoid any form of loss. So we have to weigh the two ideas. Do we go ahead with the production or do we try something absolutely new to the market?
And my answer is yes! To the two questions."
Rose heard Dandan sigh in relief. "But!"
Anshu sat straight.
"Whatever we are planning on, shouldn't pass a budget. So what do I mean? We will make budgets for the two ideas so that whatever happens, we won't lose much or gain much. We will go with the flow, by bringing in new flavors for the waffle biscuits and send it into the market and await the highest demand for it! Also for the new products, I'd like for you, Anshu to come up with it."
A big smile formed on Anshu's face. "Yes ma'am!" She was overjoyed. "I won't disappoint." She promised.
"That's great then." Rose stated. "I also want to thank the rest of the team for being a success to the dispatched product and wishing y'all loads of happiness in this Christmas month."
They all stood up and bowed. "Thank you ma'am and we wish you more of it!"
As they left Rose went to the constructing office at the nineteenth floor.
She met with Lai Shun at the door into the conference room.
"Are you okay?" He asked because he wanted to gossip. He knew Rose won't answer easily so he continued. "My grandmother told me you and Lanying had a fight and to stay out of your way... is that true?"
"Grand Aunt Meilin really do love you a lot to keep you informed."
"She's is my grandma!"
"Lai Shun we have more pressing matter than this gossip."
"Like the court case, what is your plan Rose?" He lowered his voice as they were now inside the conference room.
"Good morning ma'am!" The employees chanted.
"Good morning," Rose flashed them a smile. "What is the new update?"
"The new land," Lai Shun walked to the projector with his files. "A mall will be constructed on it."
Rose eyes narrowed. "No?"
Lai Shun smiled at her. "What did you acquire it for?"
"That land is just 90 X 180ft. That's way too small if we are ever to consider a mall. Don't fret over the land, I have something in mind for it. Now let's discuss about our unfinished buildings in the new estate."
Lai Shun eye rolled. "The first three buildings are complete, the apartment has been measured but not yet cleaned and furnished. Maybe if we employ more construction workers it would go faster and easier."
"We don't have to make it go faster, we have to carefully do our work with our trusted employees to avoid any form of wreckage in the future. As landlords we should put the safety of our tenants first..."
"We will lose out..." Lai Shun cut through her sentence. "It's almost new year, universities will resume and so many teenagers are moving out of their comfort zone to be independent, and since our building is close to one of the most populated university in the country, I don't think rushing it up is a bad idea."
"Mr Lai is right, Miss Rose. We have to be fully prepared for the new season." A man in his early forties said.
"I also agree, this is the right time."
"Enquires are being made already, and we have a lot of units yet to be furnished, we should really speed it up."
"The carpentry office should be contacted as soon as possible."
"Miss Rose, think about it too."
"I also heard that the other building close to us is fully occupied even with it's high price. Why waste more time?"
Rose listened to everyone speak their opinion without interfering.
"I was able to contact the electronic office," Lai Shun informed them. "All electrical appliances we will need is available for two buildings in total."
"How many units do you think there's?" Rose question caused a moment of silence before Lai Shun cleared his throat so he'd speak.
"Two hundred units."
"No," one of the men said. "It's one hundred."
"Are we doing guessing game, right now?" Rose knew too well that they had no idea. She stood up and walked up to Lai Shun standing near the projector and stretched out her palm for the remote.
She could see the anger in his eyes and how he reluctantly placed the remote in her hand said a lot.
Lai Shun backed away onto his chair. He'd be a fool to continue standing there.
"Since y'all said we should rush the workers or employ more to add to ours..." she paused, took a brief look at everyone's face then continued. "I totally agree with you but seeing that so many of you have no idea how many units we have in a single building is alarming.
How does the company trust you enough to use your ideas because you don't want to be on the loosing side? We started this construction since late May and to inform y'all, it's only three incompleted buildings not three completed. Mr Lai Shun, I'm really concerned about where you get your information from."
Ripples of sweat pop up on Lai Shun's forehead. Did he read the wrong file?
"We have a totaling of ten buildings all around the university, seven has been completed just not furnished, we are still working hard on that because of there are so many units. What do you think is the cause of delay?"
Rose waited for an answer but no one spoke. So she moved to change the projector cassette.
The images of the three incomplete buildings popped up first. Showing different angles of it.
