When Rose got off the shareholders meeting, she went to her mansion to shower and have a change of clothes.
Ren Jiayi had a sorrowful expression. "My dear, are you coming home tonight?"
"No," Rose pouted. "I know you miss me and I also do, but I'm just trying to spend some time with my parents before they leave again."
Ren Jiayi nodded, totally understanding. "And how's the madam?"
"She's great, she hasn't complained since they returned which means the medication is working out well."
"Glory to the Almighty." Ren Jiayi looked up at the ceiling with her palms joined together. "It should remain this way forever."
Rose nodded. "It really should." The last thing she wanted to think about was losing her mother... she knew it might happen on a certain day but she never allowed the thought to seat in her head. It might drive her crazy. "I'll be on my way now."
"Okay, stay safe my child."
Rose waved back and entered the car that was parked right outside her entrance.
She ignited the engine and drove off but ended up meeting with hold up. She took a look at her leather wristwatch, it was ten minutes past five.
Twenty five minutes, Rose stepped out of her car, she threw the key at the valet whom swiftly caught it.
Rose sauntered in, wearing a white fitting jumpsuit, it no designs on it but Rose hourglass shape did justice to it. She draped an ankle length coat over her shoulders, white boots to match and no makeup on.
She felt eyes on her but ignored them.
She moved her eyes about to locate the young man but failed. It seemed like he was late also, and just when she was about to take the chair in front of her, a figure waved at her from the other end of the restaurant.
Rose matched down towards him, she was taken by surprise when he pulled out her seat for her. Oh, she had no idea he is a gentleman.
He sat across her with a serious look.
None of the two spoke and it seemed like they were having a silent staring war.
He soon got tired and called to the waitress serving a table closeby.
She arrived with two menus and gave them one each. "Good evening,"
"Good evening," Rose replied to the waitress's greeting and it made Su Yuanqi look up. Why was she acting so nice and gentle?
Through the menu, Rose discovered the restaurant served but Chinese delicacies and Italian too.
"I'll go with the spaghetti alle vongole," Rose informed the waitress.
The waitress smiled and bowed. "Yes ma'am." Then she turned to Su Yuanqi. "Sir, do you want the same as ma's?"
Both Su Yuanqi and Rose immediately understood that she had read the wrong meaning to their relationship, so their both opened their mouth ready to explain.
"No," The two chanted.
The waitress looked in between them and the smile on her face froze. "I'm sorry if I said anything wrong."
"Not really." Su Yuanqi didn't want her to feel bad.
Rose's dangerous glare took Su Yuanqi aback. He didn't even do anything to her. And just like it wasn't even there, she flashed the waitress a very sweet smile. "Yes, we are going to have the same."
"That's for the main dish," Su Yuanqi informed the waitress. "We will have cappon Magro for fish, Braciola for meat, pinzimonio for vegetable." He looked up at Rose. "Do you like wine?"
Rose scanned through the wine list and chose, "Lambrusco."
"Sangiovese." Su Yuanqi chose his.
"And for dessert, semifreddo and pandoro will be great." The waitress suggested.
"Yes."
"Fine."
"I'll be back then." The waitress left to go get their orders ready. A waiter soon appeared with fruit juice and left too.
"So Mr Su, why did you want to see me?"
"You owe me an apology." He folded his hands proudly on his chest.
Rose was too stunned to speak. Her mouth moved severely but nothing came out of it."
"So if you're willing to apologize then maybe I'd reconsider the idea of taking the case to the court."
"Haha." A dry laugh escaped Rose's throat. "What?"
"You heard me." His proud expression made Rose to wonder what he smoked.
"Do you take crack?"
Su Yuanqi squinted his eyes at her. "I'm sane."
"That's what everyone on earth says."
"I'm not everyone." He pointed at himself. "I'm sane."
"Yeah, sure."
Su Yuanqi's jaw thigthened. What did she mean by yeah sure? Was she giving up or she didn't believe him.
"Why didn't you call my secretary after your medical check up?"
"Do you think I'm a leech?"
"I never said you are, but since you said it, you might be."
Su Yuanqi. "..."
Rose, raises her glass to take a sip.
"That is why you think you can buy everyone with money, right?"
"Do you also want to be bought? I pay very huge amounts."
"Miss Chen, you really shouldn't judge a book as you please."
"I'm not being judge mental, I'm just trying to sort it out."
"By offering huge amounts?"
"If you want I could offer you something cheap then..." at that moment the waitress arrived with the main dish, meat, fish and wine.
"Enjoy." She said to them and walked away.
"Thank you." Rose watched her leave then suddenly asked Su Yuanqi. "Do you have women in your restaurant?"
"One," he sincerely answered without beating around the bush.
"Is she as nice as this waitress?"
Su Yuanqi raised his eyes to look at her. "Why are you suddenly interested at my employees?"
"I've thought about it and I think we'd make a great team. If only you have sensible employees though."
"Excuse me, but don't disrespect my employees."
"You're to correct me if I'm wrong." Rose eye rolled. "I don't even know them."
Yeah, you don't and Changsu is head over heels for you.
"What are you thinking?" Rose wanted to know.
"I never heard of you as a gossiper."
