CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT (28) Illicit Desire

He desired her, yes, ever since meeting her, he couldn't get her out of his head or mind. She was strong and depended on no one.

She was able to boost her father food company into an empire consisting of many branches. He was head over heels for this one woman. He has met so many beautiful young ladies but none compared to her. They either had a fake attitude or fake body and face. They only wanted a rich young master to oppress their friends and nothing more.

If perfection was human, it'd be her. She was all a man would want. All a man needed. She was Chen Rose Lan.

There was another mystery around her though, he had also searched but arrived at a dead end. The rumor of she not being the only child, surprised everyone. As she was the only one known.

He wants to know her more, he wants to be the one she runs to when she is helpless. How could he do that though?

She seemed tough enough. As if with a flick of her hand, everything would be done.

She seemed unattainable, with that aura floating around her.

Lu Jing's line of thought was interrupted by an angry Zhang Wei.

"What is your problem, bro?" Zhang Wei slapped his friend back into the presence. "Are you crazy?" He whispered into Lu Jing's ears.

Lu Jing shook his head, then said to Rose. "I think you owe us an apology..." sh*t he didn't want to start that way.

"You think?" Zhang Wei scoffed. "Have you gone crazy?" Zhang Wei cupped Lu Jing's jaw, then turned it to face him. "This crazy girl, owes us an apology!"

Ye Zedong, whom had just pushed the door open for Xu Dandan heard it and the hairs on his nape sprung up.

Xu Dandan's jaw dropped.

Zedong moved so fast like a smoke to stand behind Rose while Xu Dandan had the urge to throw the tray at the two men.

"Excuse me, sir, but I think your speech is a bit too vulgar." Ye Zedong eyed the two men dangerously.

"Really?" Zhang Wei stood up. "Then are you willing to teach me how to speak, animal?"

Ye Zedong thought spiraled. "Who let you in?" He has never met anyone in his life that was so dumb.

Zhang Wei seemed to be having fun, as a mocking smile found its way to his face. "You," he pointed at Zedong. "Have you gone nuts?"

"Call the security." Zedong simple statement made Xu Dandan to rush to the telephone.

"Stop it." Rose straightened in her chair. Xu Dandan paused with a look of injustice.

"But boss..." she wanted to say, however, Rose hand lift stopped her.

"Ma'am," Ye Zedong's voice was filled with worry as he came to stand before her. "You can't keep such company."

"It's fine, I'll settle it." Rose assured him but he didn't budge.

"Zedong, I said it's fine." Rose stated. "You can take Dandan and leave."

"I'm sorry, but I can't." He stood protectively before her.

"Hahahaha." Zhang Wei started to laugh. "Look at this crazy guy..." he paused, looked down at Lu Jing turn continued. "He wants to fight. Come here, come over... Hunh?" He stretched out his balled fists. He had one goal in mind.

"No," Lu Jing shook his head. "Just calm down and talk with respect..."

"With respect?" Zhang Wei was displeased by that single word. "To who? To this girl? I think you've lost it, Jing. This isn't what we came here for, either you start making agreements or I start destroying her office." Yes, he wants to make a big mess.

Rose's eyes narrowed. "Mr Wei, I really think you should calm down..."

"Calm down?" He flicked his hand. "You want me to be calm? After you had hit me?" Zhang Wei pointed at his broken lips. "Do you see this? Can you? Hunh? Are you mad?" His sudden yell shocked everyone in the office except Lu Jing, whom rubbed his forehead in tiredness.

"Hit you?" Xu Dandan put the telephone back and strode back to the couch area. "What do you mean by that?"

"He's crazy." Zedong said. "I told you to call the security."

"But ma'am..."

"But nothing, Dandan. Call the security."

Xu Dandan hit the dial button on the telephone and watched in terror as Rose walked towards her to collect it.

Zedong watched the two men though. He didn't want to make any mistake, he was here to protect and guard Rose, even if she was strong and had black belt in taekwando, he still wanted to make sure she was safe.

Rose snatched the telephone from Xu Dandan and put it away.

"Young Master Lu and Mr Wei, I'm sorry for any trouble I might have caused you two. Please pardon me,"

Her sincere apology, made Zhang Wei look at her with hooded eyes. How could she just apologize like it meant nothing to her.

"That apology is so fake that it makes me want to puke..." he gave a smug laugh. "I want to hear you apologize again."

Rose knew exactly what Zhang Wei was playing at, but because she had no time for drama she'd oblige instead of playing along.

"My sincere apology to you Mr Wei, I'm sorry if I have I done anything to hurt you. Find somewhere in your heart to forgive me and over look my mistake." Rose also added a deep bow.

Zedong whom couldn't see her face, had his eyes almost popping out of their sockets and his jaw dropping.

Xu Dandan on the other hand wanted to faint. Rose looked so sincere, but with her head bowed, she was trying so hard to conceal her laugh.

Zhang Wei raised his head and proudly turned away.

Lu Jing looked up to see his friend expression to know if he was finally satisfied with her apology.

Lu Jing also stood up, and made a light bow to Rose.
