"No," Rose answered caused the men to frown. "Let's allow the police deal with them..."
"Ma'am," Ye Zedong called out. "How can you say that?"
"If we take him, his team will come after us. So let's just keep it low like we don't care."
He Duyi nodded. "You're right ma'am but then it will become more scary to move, you can't be left alone for a second..."
"No," Rose rejected. She hated being escorted by too many security. "I can protect myself."
"That's what you always say, then go out and beat up the wrong people." Xu Dandan breath labored. "You can't be left alone, and that's final."
Rose shrugged. "I don't want guards around me..."
"Is either you agree or we report to Mrs Chen." Donghai bowed after saying it. "I'm sorry ma'am, but we can't risk you being by yourself."
"We can't risk that!" The four men chanted and it relieved Dandan in some way.
"Allow them do their job." She turned to say to Rose. "Quit trying to prove that you're strong."
"I am strong." Rose frowned. "I really am. I can take these four men down." She proudly pointed at herself, then at her manager and drivers. Anyone else would think the men around her was ordinary people, but no. She knew best, Donghai a hacker, Duyi a trained assassin which she never thought she'd need until she joined the business world and Mingyu was a great archer... while Zedong seemed to be nothing but an ordinary manager, he was in fact, the leader.
All the shock Xu Dandan had received today made her to suffer a nosebleed.
"Ah!" She screamed.
Rose immediately raised her head up as Ye Zedong passed his face towel.
"Here, Dandan."
Dandan would have simply rejected it, if it was an ordinary day, but now, she couldn't think of anything else but Rose. How could someone be so carefree and careless? How much more did she need to school Rose for her to learn? Fighting was for men or women that has overfed. Not her, a wealthy young Miss.
"I'll take back Xie Heng and Gao Kang." She informed everyone after Dandan was able to put her head down.
There was a proud smile on Zedong's face, "Yes, ma'am."
"I will call them back." Mingyu saluted. "It has been a long awaited call back, I bet they'd be happy."
Rose nodded. "Yea,"
Wanting them back, meant one thing, she trusted them. Zedong sighed. It would be safer now.
*~~~*
Grace sauntered into the cafe with a big smile. She had all her plans, calculated. No one was also allowed to interrupt.
"Oh my..." her cheery voice, alerted the people around as they giraffe to get a better look of her. She passed her chair and went to hug Peng Lanying. "Oh my... oh my... I've missed you a lot."
Peng Lanying on the other hand, knew better. Nothing good came out of smiling back at Grace, especially since several years ago.
"Why did you ask to see me?" She asked, not ready for entertainment.
Grace sat down then said. "Aish, how can you be so mean? We haven't seen each other like for ages, and this is how you will treat me?" Grace raised her voice a little so others could hear them. "Don't be like that... hmm? Don't be too mean."
Peng Lanying shielded her face with her palm. "Can you not talk so loud?" She said through gritted teeth.
"Yes, sure." Grace answered but didn't do as she was told. She coyly giggled. "I have missed you a lot bestie."
"Bestie?" Peng Lanying jaw dropped. What was the crazy girl playing at? What bestie? She was friends with Rose not herself. Their friendship, already soiled. "I don't think you..."
"Aish, I get why you're like this, but you know? It's not right. Don't go ahead hurting people like that... hmm? People would think you're evil and... and..." Grace's pause made Peng Lanying want to faint.
"Grace, you better stop acting crazy."
"How can you also call your friend crazy? That doesn't make sense one bit."
Peng Lanying eyes scanned the whole cafe, and it was as if they were in a movie, all eyes was on them while Grace made those stupid remarks. What did she want them to think of her.
"Grace..."
"Why do you keep calling me Grace?" Grace frowned. "I'm your bestie... and I care about you..."
Peng Lanying stood up and her chair fell with a thud. "I don't want to be seen with a crazy girl like you."
As she made to move, Grace discreetly stuck out her leg and Peng Lanying tripped.
"Ah!" Lanying ear screeching scream echoed in the cafe.
"Oh my goodness, what is wrong with her?"
"I think she's crazy."
"She's also fake and a liar,"
"You're right, look how she's treating her friend."
"I pity the other girl, she looks so innocent."
Peng Lanying listened to critics about her as she sat on the ground. She couldn't believe her ears, those people were saying bad things about her. They called her fake... just how? Wasn't it obvious that Grace was the fake one? How could they just make bad comments about her?
She was the real person here...
With her hair covering almost her face, she turned to glare at Grace.
Grace had a satisfied expression on as she stared back at Peng Lanying.
"You crazy b¡tch!"
Grace didn't even try to help her.
"So this is your plan?" Peng Lanying tried to stand but her ankle hurt. "Ouch!" She yelled in pain. "What have you done to me?"
"Me?" Grace scoffed. "I haven't done anything. You tripped because of your clumsiness. How can you blame it on me?"
Peng Lanying was beginning to sweat, she couldn't get up and it didn't look like Grace was going to help her up.
"Just help me up!" Peng Lanying commanded.
Grace folded her hands in front of her. "That's no way to ask for help."
"Are you crazy?"
"No," Grace pout made it even harder for Peng Lanying to bear. "You're the crazy one, I mean you're on the floor and yelling."
