Chapter 45: In your dreams

"Let's finish this in the next attack!"

Everyone glanced at Freya and bobbed their head seriously. All of them knew they wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer if this situation prolongs for a period.

Immediately, Liz bent down and touched the ground. She looked up with a stern eye and declared, "Let's get this party over with."

Right after her words, ice decorated the ground as it spread throughout the field rapidly. The ice reached Lyndel within a blink of an eye and covered her foot, rooting her down.

Lyndel looked on amused by her silly trick as ice-covered all over her body, turning her into an ice sculpture. One look at the sculpture and you would see her frozen smirk plastered on her face.

Liz straightened up by swinging her hand, forming an ice road for Jinha to run.

Jinha smirked as he mumbled thanks and ran through the road, twirling his spear as he moved. He leapt from the road towards the sculpture with the intent of piercing it into pieces.

But as soon as the spear approached the sculpture, just an inch away from breaking it to thousand small pieces. The blade was held by her fingers effectively stopping his strike. The lifeless sculpture moved and caught the blade by its fingers.

Jinha was suspended in the air, shocked by the events. He knitted his brows as he flipped backwards, landing neatly on the ground and regained his balance.

He stood up slowly and saw the sculpture regaining its life. Laughter echoed in the field as everyone watched Lyndel break free from the ice.

Jinha's eyes glinted as he grinned, "This will be so much fun."

Liz frowned as she witnessed the demon breaking out from her ice in ease. She pursed her lips.

Jinha dashed in as he struck the demon with his spear. Lyndel shaped her hands into a sword as she blocked it.

Both of them flashed an evil smile just before exchanging blows.

Lyndel soon said, "Your attacks are indeed strong..."

"Well why, thank you for your praise." Jinha grinned at her.

Jinha smirked as he mustered lightning through his spear and pointed it at her. The air grew cold around them as the lightning gleamed in the dark atmosphere.

Lightning blasted towards the demon who laughed as she countered it with her dark energy.

An explosion occurred in the middle of the field as both the powers collided against each other.

"But still not enough to defeat me." Lyndel continued her words.

And, Lyndel appeared before him with her hand stretched out, with the inclination to pierce his chest.

"Well, now you would know the difference between us."

Lyndel frowned when she felt ice spears aimed at her back. She jumped sideways to avoid the incoming attack. The spears fell on her position as she moved about.

She heard his arrogant voice, "I'm not alone." and he winked at her before he prepared to attack her.

She snorted as she saw them attack together.

"Just a group of you and you think you can defeat me."

Lyndel snarled, "In your dreams!!!!!! "

She turned to her side as she dodged the spear and moved a few distances away to see Zeno gliding in middle of a wind storm.

Zeno raised his hand and formed wind swords from the storm and directed his attack towards her.

Lyndel laughed as she rushed towards him while dodging the swords aimed at her. One sword managed to cut her cheek which oozed out blood.

She grunted as she wiped the blood away from her cheek and looked crazily at the person in midair.

She stopped as she mustered dark winds around her claws to aim it at him but...

"Sorry.. you can't do that."

Water bullets were flung at her as she had to dodge again. Lyndel gritted her teeth as each one of them focused on making her dodge their attacks. She dodged two but got hit with the last one which hit her chest.

She was swept backwards but managed to bury her feet into the ground, halting her fall. But, that moment of distraction was all they needed, was all they waited for.
