Chapter 3

It's already Tuesday and Emily is wide awake, packing her books for the lessons she'll have in school today.

After a rushed breakfast she says 'Good Day' to Elliott and closes the door quietly. She walks out of the gates of the mansion and turns right to the path that leads her to school. The warmth of the sun made Emily smile as she lightly touched the branches of the falling cherry blossom trees. She picked a dandelion and a daisy and smelt them, acknowledging the time they took to bloom. Birds chirped their sweet songs and the day began.

In Physics, Emily's class is doing a chemical reaction with a test tube and hydrochloric acid. She places the test tube over the Bunsen burner with the bung on top to stop any gas from the reaction escaping. After 2 minutes, Emily gets bored. She glances around to the other groups to look at their experiments. She looks back at hers. Panic rushes in. The Hydrochloric acid inside the test tube is bubbling too much. Emily switches off the Bunsen burner and places the test tube down on the safety mat however, because of the small space inside the test tube, the bung pops off and shoots straight for Emily, hitting the side of Emily's head – hard.

Emily grunts. The Professor walks over to Emily and escorts her out of the classroom. The Professor calls for a member of staff to get her.

The member of staff arrives just as the Professor finishes speaking on the phone. The staff takes Emily to the office to add a plaster. Emily takes the chance to ask where Mr. Remun is. The teacher shrugs her shoulders and says that she doesn't know. Emily nods understandingly.

Its 11 AM and it's Lunch Time. Emily is outside under a tree with her lunchbox. She takes her phone out from her pocket and goes to the contacts section of the phone. She clicks on the name, Mr. Remun it says. The phone vibrates as it eagerly tries to get in touch but after 8 vibrations there's no luck. Emily sighs for the umpteenth time before biting on her juicy, red apple.

After school, Emily tries to remember where she saw Mr. Remun yesterday. Her mind's a fuzz and she can't recall the location.

She keeps on walking until she sees 3 mysterious people with mouth masks on, watching at her intently. Emily tries to back away but there are even more people behind her.

She's totally cornered…
