Trap part.2

Double gold plated doors swung open revealing a breath taking interior. No where near humble- the paintings where rich and abstract, the walls where of white marble and gold, more and more gold— including the miniature statues, the chandelier and linings of a number of furniture. Most of all... it was private. Quiet? not entirely... the music could be heard in a muffled state but that was enough. No nudity, no irony smell, it was a regular ambient quarter

"This is where I usually stay every year at nights like these... wouldn't want to be mistaken for food" Charlotte jested, lifting the heavy atmosphere from between the two ladies

"So you just sit here?" Ruviena asked, responding to a beginning of a conversation

"Sadly yes, I am still a human after all. The humans that are present in the party are usually... well... you know" Charlotte's gaze drew towards the floor in a shy manner

"Please have a seat!" She offered without sitting down herself

Ruviena and Olivia did as asked, the two sat on opposite directions of upholsteries, still the sour atmosphere of the two where practiced visible to the naked eye for Lady Charlotte who now felt awkward.

"Your grace, His highness seeks your attention... Here are the drinks for the ladies as well"

"Ah yes, i'll be right there" Charlotte responded as she walked up to the generic vampire servant after it gave the blood drink to Olivia and a rich wine for Ruviena.

"I'll be back soon ladies" Charlotte said her cheery farewell before she disappeared beyond the luxurious doors with the servant.

-Thud-

As soon as the doors shut, Ruviena's icy gaze where found locked on Olivia's now glowing ones.

A hostile vampire. Olivia took the opportunity in their privacy to assert her 'dominance'

"If you want to kill me, you'll end up dying as well... what's the point in all this?"

"Let me say this Silver bitch..."

Ruviena barely twitched at Olivia's ascending hostility, It was what she was waiting for... She had only hoped that Olivia's death threat involves the attack on the fortress and the special weapons

"Xerion and I have been together long long before your mother was even born... You do not match. You tarnish his superiority with the other vampires by marrying you! Marry someone else is what I advice you to—"

"I will not divorce him"

"YOU—!!" Olivia this time hissed in a monstrous tone— her fangs, bared and extended. Aahh... how nonchalant. The look on vampires that Ruviena always faced when she was active in the hunter society.

"I.will.not.divorce.him... But yes even I think our marriage is silly and it risks my life also that the loyalty towards Xerion will possibly crumble. Nonetheless... I refuse"

"YOU DO NOT LOVE HIM!!!" Olivia this time stood up, the upholstered chair she sat in that did not weight lightly at all practically fell over behind her. Her nails grew long and hideous like a vulture's talons. Her loud almost in a shriek tone was probably heard from the outside now

"I LOVE HIM! I HAVE LOVED HIM FOR SO LONG YET YOU JUST TOOK HIM JUST LIKE THAT!"

"400 years..." Ruviena said calmly, staring straight into Olivia's blood shot eyes

"W-What?"

"You've probably loved him longer than 400 years, correct?"

"Y-Yes!!!"

"Have you ever thought that... He will never return your feelings at all? four hundred years is a very VERY long time already. It's a vast amount of time to think about if he should return your feelings"

Olivia stood dumbfounded, her tears where hardly visible but they where there...

'Damn... So this wasn't about the attack at the fortress... it's just plain jealousy' Ruviena disappointingly thought to herself. Oh well... the ruckus probably already alerted Xerion from where he is at and will be on his way to drag Ruviena out of this little mess.

"No... it's because you appeared. That corpse should have finished you off! Then he'll be back to how he usually was... with me! and the kingdom will pair a different miserable couple instead!"

Wait... Ruviena was so sure that what happened at the fortress was not to be told in public. How did she know?

Unless--

"Victor was not capable enough as you can see" Ruviena said sternly

"He was useless till the end yes that part is obvious!"

There it was... that little slip. No one knew who the corpse was other than Xerion, Yoran and Lui

"So you plan on killing me instead, knowing that Xerion will do everything in his power to avenge me. It is also likely that you won't succeed. He's just a few rooms away"

"Ha! Haha… HAHAHA!!" Olivia began laughing hysterically... Holding her belly as she continued to laugh as if what Ruviena said was completely silly

She laughed so hard for a moment and soon drew into a sudden halt. Her face in a mischievous smile of victory leered down on Ruviena who's face surfaced a confused yet still calm visage

"Did you not know? Royal quarters... Have a special seal where you do not know what happens within the walls. We're in the human concubine's special room."

'What?'

"I can kill you without leaving a trace, and he'll have every trace erased, make an alibi for me, pull up 'witnesses'. How did you think that corpse got in without being noticed or even a slight clue to who controls it?"

'He? Victor mentioned a 'she'… The suspect range for which pureblood broadens again! Damn it!'

"…The same manner as how the weapons where delivered I see" Ruviena made a final confirmation. Her hands together clenched on top of her lap on where she sat on

"Exactly the same darling"
