Maya is not your typical hacker. Ten years ago, her only living family was killed in cold blood. The killers make her take the fall but after ten years in prison, she's become stronger. Now, she hunts the very monsters that hunt others. She's untraceable until she runs into Alec, the Underworld's notorious leader who doesn't seem to be quite human. Things aren't as they seem though, as Maya is pulled into a twisted fate. Maya now has to run from the Underworld boss who wants her as his own and a mysterious hacker who seems to have it out for her. What could possibly go wrong, right?

Silent Hacker

When a dizzy spell hits me the creepy thing suddenly snaps its mouth shut. I take a shaky step back and look at the thing with unease. Did it get enough? I quickly walk over to Alec and begin checking on him. The blackened spots were already starting to spread.

Alec waves me off and says "It's fine" I glare at him and turn to find Chip watching the tree with disgust. I turn back around to see the thing still struggling to pull itself out of the tree. "Should someone go help it?" I say with uncertainty.

Both Alec and Chip turn to look at me like I've lost my damn mind. I shrug and say "It looks like it could use a hand..." and it did! Just standing here, watching it struggle was making me a little uncomfortable.
