FLASHBACK - Her Day
It was Kate's day. Ashton drove them to Kings Karaoke - to the room prepared specially for them. Ashton had dropped in a day earlier and decorated the entire room in the the theme of anime. Kate was someone who really loved anime so this was a delightful surprise for her. The staff was specifically dressed up in costumes of Naruto, One piece and Dragon Ball Z. The room had anime figurines inside. As soon as they stepped in they were welcomed with Straw hats and flower garlands. Kate giggled at these actions. Susie was very surprised as well, almost believing Ashton for who he was now. All three of them went inside while the staff brought them the pre-booked drinks and appetizers. There was a large variety of stuff - Sushi, Harumaki ( Japanese spring rolls), Tofu coupled with Oyster shooters. Most of them were Kate's favorites.
"Ashton, you've changed. After you two started dating, no one cares about me. All of these dishes are Kate's favourites. What about me!!??"
"Sorry Susie, but it's her day"
"Then I'm leaving!"
"Hahahaha!! Susie I'm just kidding. How can I forget you? You are the reason we two are together. I have your favorite dishes. They are bringing it, your highness"
"Humph! That's more like it!"
Kate laughed. All of them have their fill while chatting.
"Okay enough of eating now. I'm tired, let's sing our hearts out!!"
"Wow Kate, I don't remember you being so excited about singing especially in front of people. You both have really changed a lot huh. Guess it is as they say, love changes people."
"Uhh...it's not like that Susie. Ummm I'm just...."
"Just what??" Susie starts laughing making Kate blush
"Fine, fine I won't tease you. You can pour your heart out"
Kate blushes again and directly picks up the remote to choose a song. It was an English love song by Taylor Swift. While she was singing -
"Hey Su, you know what to do after this song is over right?"
"Yeah yeah don't worry. I know you wanna get rid of me but let me enjoy as well. You annoying love birds ugh"
"Hahaha you're the best"
As Kate finishes the song. Susie stands up. Kate thought that Susie wanted to sing and goes to hand the mic to her.
"No no, I can't sing right now Kate. I need to go. My mum called me up and she said it's very urgent. You know my mum, she won't call unless it's really important"
Kate frowned. "Can't you stay until evening at least?"
"No man. I'm so sorry I know you wanted me to stay. I'm sorry Ashton, I have to leave"
"It's fine. I understand"
Kate sulked and hugged Susie. Then they bid their goodbyes and Susie goes away. Susie hadn't received any call from her mum but Ashton had a surprise for Kate and wanted it the two of them there. Hence he had asked Susie to lie and let both of them stay together. Susie was a bit skeptical of leaving them alone, Ashton thought it was because she was worried about Kate returning home late and her mum causing issues for her but Susie had something else in her mind going on. Reluctantly, she agreed to Ashton's plan.
After Susie leaves, Ashton and Kate were left behind. Kate was no longer in a mood to sing since Susie had left abruptly. Ashton had expected that and in fact wanted that to happen. The sadder she was now, the happier she would be after seeing her surprise.
"So? Now what?" Kate asked Ashton.
"Come I'll take you to a place, anyways it's around 4, by the time we reach there it'll be six already"
"Oh okay, let's go"
Ashton and Kate left the karaoke and hopped onto Ashton's car. As soon as Kate got inside the car, Ashton directly pounced on her and started kissing her. He parted her lips with his tongue and entered and explored her mouth, biting and licking her lower lip at the same time. Kate was a little surprised and couldn't react properly. She closed her eyes and just copied whatever Ashton was doing. Even though they had kissed a lot of times now, she still couldn't get used to him and her stomach would flutter every time. She tried biting Ashton's lower lip while he was licking hers and it she accidently bit his tongue.
"Ahhhh" Ashton shrieked
Kate jolted suddenly and opened her eyes. "Wh--what happened?"
Ashton started laughing loudly making Kate blush. "You still haven't gotten used to it have you?"
"Wh--what did I do?"
"You bit my tongue" Ashton laughed. Kate could feel her ears turn red hearing what she had done.
"I'm sorry.." Ashton suddenly kissed her forehead. "Shush.. it's fine. Don't worry about it"
"But.. what was that for?"
"I didn't tell you how beautiful you look today"
Not expecting the compliment, Kate's face suddenly turned red as a tomato. Seeing her reaction Ashton chuckled and started driving. It took them around two hours to reach the place Ashton had wanted to show Kate. Suddenly Kate saw that their destination was a hill and she would have to climb up as no cable cars were present.
"Hey, umm... we can't go to the top, I'm wearing heels"
Ashton turned around and looked at her feet. Then in one smooth move he scooped her up in princess style.
"OMG! Woah Ash what are you doing!!?"
"What do you think?"
Kate immediately shut up because of Ashton's counter question. The reason why Ashton didn't give her a piggy back ride was because she was wearing a tight fitting tube dress so it wouldn't be comfortable for her to hold Ashton. He carried her all the way to the top of the hill and put her down. He then opened his backpack and gave a water bottle to Kate. After she drank some water and both of them caught some breath, Ashton asked her to turn around
Kate turned around and couldn't even stop her eyes from not getting teary. In front of her, she could see the entire city. Cool breeze was touching her face and she could here the birds chirping in the evening sky. The sky had a tint of red as the sun was about to set. It was the most beautiful place she had ever visited. She turned around at looked at Ashton with a complicated expression. This man always knew what she liked even though she never mentioned.
"Hey what are you getting all teary eyed already? The main event hasn't even started"
"Huh? Who said I'm crying? I just got some dust in my eye okay?" Even though Kate was getting all teary eyed, she would never admit it. But Ashton knew that and he didn't mind it for he could she the happiness in her eyes. He then kissed her on her forehead and held her hand while watching the sunset.
After the sun had almost set - " Come on tell me what's there. Don't leave me in suspense."
"You're so impatient" Ashton chuckled and tapped her forehead. "Just wait for a couple of minutes, it should start any time soon"
Soon after the sky had become dark, one by one, the city lights started turning on. It felt like thousands of stars were twinkling. In the background she could hear the sounds of crickets. Suddenly she felt a warm sensation on her back. Ashton had wrapped his arms around her and was hugging her. She held onto his arms and looked at the view in front of her. Then she turned around and looked him in the eye, and leaned towards him to kiss him. Ashton understood and stooped his head lower and met her lips with his. Their tongues twirled around in each others mouth as if they couldn't get enough of each other. It was a kiss of longingness, desiring more of each other with each passing second. After a few while their lips separated as both of them gasped for air. Kate's face looked very seductive with the twinkling lights in the background. He couldn't get enough of her so he started kissing her again and his hands started fumbling around her body. Her body stiffened and he felt the movement. He stopped and kissed her on the forehead. "I'll never do anything unless you are comfortable with it. I love you and I'll wait for you."
"Hmm". Kate was still in a daze until Ashton again scooped her up. She giggled and continued staring at him. As they reached the base of the hill, Kate opened the car door and Ashton placed her inside a car as if she was some precious jewel. Then he put on her seatbelt and closed the door and went to the other side and sat in his seat and buckled up and drove back to Kate's home.
