Hope & Inspiration

We're supposed to be on another island right now but because of an unforeseen problem, we came back home yesterday. Instead, we watched the two movies of 'Jack Reacher' produced and acted by Tom Cruise. Then we add another movie, 'The Hitman's Bodyguard.'

It was a good time unwinding myself from writing for days. I prefer this kind of life, in control of my time and not in a rush to write a chapter a day because the readers are expecting and will complain if I can't publish even one in two days. If possible, I'll just write and finish a whole book and publish it on Amazon. Somehow, I also need an editor to do that. (Sigh) I wish I'm really that good with English or have enough to afford an editor.

Oh my, I'm distracted again and my words didn't coincide with my title.

Back to the topic. To start my writing, I went online to read a poem. Instead, I found a thought-provoking image. There was this cracking dry soil which looked like a dried up river surrounding the focal point of the image, which attracted my attention. In the middle of this dry soil, there were these two beautiful yellow flowers blooming, unaffected by the drought.

I wondered if my life and written stories have that vigor to withstand the test of time. It inspired me greatly and began another chapter one with different character this time. While I was reading my mentor's vague guide, I finally understood what he was trying to tell me for the last two days concerning the things I lack in my narrative.

With this inspiration in mind, I'm now working on a new plot line. I set aside the previous story which I prepared for my protagonist. This time, I'll start with my antagonist. To make the readers see and sympathized with his woes, giving value to this great character. Just like the Star Wars books. George Lucas began his series with Anakin Skywalker who became Darth Vader.

Then something else happened. One of my avid reader, ifbaby03, who was my number one commenter of my stories, left a new review in my first story. Here's her review:

"Wow... I missed reading this book so she we be expecting another sequel soon ,cos I wish to read something else from you soon. Love you my dearest author JoanB."

I really love you ifbaby03.

This encourages me. I want to write and give my best to all my readers.
