Tune

Once Lu Bu finished his tireless speech, a pregnant silence filled the hallways as he disappeared from his podium. Afterward every student was free to do as they pleased until the next day

Ye Qin and Wang Tao left the assembly hall and went to their brand new living quarters. When they stepped out of the teleportation gate, they noticed the male student who is also a Gold star just like them. Covering himself from head to toe in bandages lying underneath his clothes, the student sat quietly on a boulder with an antique fishing rod in hand as he whistled

The tune was filled with both joy and sadness at times giving off a hint of melancholy. The two stayed and listened to the tune, Ye Qin looked up at the sky whilst Wang Tao looked down into the lake and watched the lily pads move

After a while, the two brothers went into their respective rooms as their fellow student stayed on the boulder. Each room is large making it seem more like a high end apartment suite rather than just a dorm room. The king size bed lay nicely in the corner of the bedroom area that is only separated by some columns

Large bookshelves were placed around the bed and in the study area. The only room that actually had a door to it is the bathroom. The large tv that is integrated into the wall is over 60 inches

Inside his room, Ye Qin read through the entire student handbook and memorised everything before searching for information on his smartwatch

This took a while to do and after this, he started working out for an hour. Wiping the sweat off his body, Ye Qin took a quick shower and went to get dinner after getting dressed. Along the way, he met Wang Tao he had just woken up then took a shower and felt hungry so off they went to the kitchen downstairs

In the kitchen, a large breasted girl could be seen cooking food. The two walked up to the kitchen and smelled the alluring aroma of red braised pork belly. Without holding back, Wang Tao said "Hey do you mind if we have some too?"

"Sure" Su Guiying replied nonchalantly

"Thanks." Ye Qin said

Not far away, Su Guiying's best friend sat down watching the tv. Ye Qin sat down near her and asked "The other one still outside?"

"Uhm." she nodded

The two continued watching the tv whilst Wang Tao watched Su Guiying cooking patiently whilst a hint of drool slipped down the side of his mouth

After a while, the dinner table was filled with all kinds of dishes. These included some of Ye Qin and Wang Tao's favorites which consequently parallels with the two girls' favorites. The four of them enjoyed the dinner. Out of nowhere, Wang Tao said "Your cooking is great, you'll make a good mother and housewife!"

Hearing this, Ye Qin choked slightly on his food whilst Su Guiying's friend spat water out her mouth. Su Guiying continued eating with a flushed face whilst Wang Tao pondered for a moment before coming to a realisation and knocked himself in the head

After dinner, Wang Tao and the two girls watched tv together whilst Ye Qin went outside with some of the leftover food on a tray. Walking with the food outside, Ye Qin noticed that the man was still sitting on the boulder. In fact he was still in the same position which made it seem as though he was a statue

Placing down the food next to him, Ye Qin took the wooden flute lying near the lake and started playing a matching tune to the previous one that the male had whistled. The young man finally moved after a while and sat down by the zither

Like an immortal god, the young man plucked the strings of the zither which complemented Ye Qin's playing. The playing of the duo resonated throughout the academy which could be thanked by the principal himself who was keeping an eye on them and decided to connect their music and play it throughout

Since it was still early, everyone was still awake. Everyone from student to teacher heard the soothing music that reverberated throughout entering the ears of all. The tune created an image in the minds of everyone as if they were watching a story

Everyone could picture a young man who was incredibly poor who had only his little siblings left. One day when he arrived at their hiding place with stolen food, the young man saw the corpses of his younger siblings

Dropping the food on the ground, the young man mourned for their deaths for three days and three nights. On the fourth day, the food he had dropped, now covered in dirt was picked up and shoved desperately into his mouth

That day, the young man vowed to seek out the murderers of his only remaining family. The story then moved on, the young man grew up and struggled in an era of war. One day the young man accidentally discovered the cause of his siblings deaths. The very man who took him in whom he trusted very much was the cold blooded killer that took his siblings away from him forever

The story then moved on again, the young man took revenge for his family, but what then? After getting his revenge, he felt empty inside. His family was no more and so was his purpose in life, he spent the remainder of his life wandering around from place to place. Eventually he found a person he loved and settled down

At this point the story ended and the music stopped playing. Noone knew where the song was from, everyone was curious but it all came to an end

After putting down their instruments, Ye Qin walked back to the lounge where the others were waiting. When he arrived, Wang Tao asked "Boss that was you??"

Ye Qin nodded "Right, who knew he could play the zither so well."

Su Guiying and her friend looked at him in awe then the four of them had a chat for a while. Ye Qin learnt the remaining girls' name which is Jia Yazhu, apparently the two girls are childhood friends who have been together since birth and are inseparable

Though he didn't get to learn what their monsters were, he knew they wouldn't be weak since they were also Gold stars just like himself

The next day, the four of them left together to explore New Beijing off campus. After leaving the campus and appearing at the gates again, the four of them decided on places to go and what to eat

After going around some places and seeing some high schools around. After lunch they decided to head to the arena where trainers gather to fight for both fame and money. According to Ye Qin's research, the arena was built over 300 years ago by a famous trainer of the era

During the time, the trainer returned gloriously from the Monster Realm and brought under his banner the head of a great monster. After his return, using his wealth the man built a large arena with permission from the government

Now the arena stood proudly to this day making it one of the world's major sites. Battles in the arena range from one on one to two on two, three on three and even five on five! The stage for the arena is big to allow for more freedom during battles, though only one fight will run at a time

Apparently even students are allowed to participate which caught the attention of Ye Qin and Wang Tao, though the two of them didn't want to reveal their monsters yet until they made a name for themselves at the academy

After buying entry tickets, the four of them found their seats and bought some snacks that one of the staff members was bringing around with them. Sitting in their seats, the four of them chatted as they awaited the very first match

After a while, the lights in the arena began to dim

"Ladies and gentlemen…. Are you ready?!!!" a man wearing a white outfit with black sleeves whilst also wearing shades and slick leather shoes said loudly into the mic

Suddenly, his figure appeared from the center of the stage as the lights that were turned on focused solely on the man. "Yea!!!" the crowd replied

"Great! Now let the first match begin! The first match will be a one on one battle between Dark Ripper and Blazing Tiger!!! Give them a round of applause!!!" the announcer said as the crowd began to clap wildly

Whoosh*

The lights changed its focus to one side of the arena as a huge man begins to walk out from the door. The huge man standing at around 2 meters who also looked to weigh about 100 kilos in mass wearing a dark cloak on his back and covering his face

Though the man is huge, it could be clearly seen that it was all muscle rather than fat. "Give it all to Dark Ripper!!!" the announcer said which made the crowd even rowdier as they clapped

Dark Ripper put up both his arms in the air as he waved to the cheering crowd. When he walked a few steps, the lights moved to the other side of the arena where a smaller man wearing a red cloak with a tiger mask and also red pants similarly waved to the crowd

Naturally the crowd also clapped loudly for Blazing Tiger, though Ye Qin's group smiled wryly as they forced themselves to clap. Wang Tao tapped Ye Qin's shoulder and whispered "Surely we won't be going out in that get up?"

"Of course not, just a domino mask is enough…" the latter replied

Wang Tao wiped his sweat as he softly whispered "Phew"

The two contestants standing in the ring glared fiercely at each other as they both summoned out their monsters

Looking at the contestants' monsters, Wang Tao cried "What the f*ck? Dark Ripper and he has a light element monster whilst Blazing Tiger has a lion?? Is this a scam?"

"..."

"..."

The two monsters roared at each other as the announcer shouted into his mic with the lights turned on throughout the arena "Are you ready? Fight!"
