The Game is Afoot (Day 4)

"Ah, delicious" I thought while sipping my moca frappuccino from its straw. Only stopping briefly to look at the logo and to glance at the other patrons waiting for their orders.

Passing by, my eyes were naturally drawn to the mysteerious guy from earlier. While walking to the open lounge chair. I thought of his appearance. A mask and sunglasses.

"Hmm. I wonder if he has a cold... I feel for him if he does. I hate wearing those things when I'm sick. It's so suffocating".

Sitting comfortably in the lounge chair and sipping on my drink. I opened up my Laura Kaye novel. Which I'm just beginning to get drawn into. When I glimpsed something out of the corner of my eye.

Looking up and following the movement to realize that it's the same guy from earlier. Whom has just sat down on the couch in front of me.

Casually I'm drawn in by his meticulous movements of setting up his laptop. Watching his hand movements while he's unraveling a set of earbuds.

Eyes abruptly shooting to his face when his sunglasses slipped down to reveal his eyes.

Shocking to me. He made a little eye roll and a lip twinge that showed of a little dimple.

"Oh..." I thought with sudden awareness of my direct staring. I quickly downcasted my eyes towards my novel.

Words blurred, I could still make out his basic form. He's tinkering and reaching for his beverage.

"He should advertise for them..." I thought.

He took a long sip, sighed and then glanced around the room.

He's come to rest his stare on me. I'm hesitating.

"Courage ✊".

I pressed my lips together. Then gradually raised my eyes and lowered my book.
