Last night in China

(Elektra's POV)

Mission accomplished! Woohoo!! We had turned back around from walking just to see what was happening. We were extremely happy as we watched the police arrest the people of the gang. We high fived each other and turned towards the way to the temple again.

Alexa and Damon were ahead of me and Neo, still bickering like always. Neo wrapped his arm around my shoulders again and just stared ahead. I looked up at Neo and he had a blank expression on his face, he just looked like he was spacing out. I snapped my fingers in his face and he snapped out of it. "Neo are you okay?" I asked. He chuckled a little, sounding like he was hiding his...nervousness? I think it was nervousness in his voice. "I'm fine." he replied and kept his eyes forward. I looked at him weirdly, but just pushed it aside and kept walking with him.

After a little bit, Neo looked at me and asked "Hey El can I ask you something?". I looked at him and replied " Well you just did, but you could ask me another." He chuckled a little and then continued to speak "Well... you see.. I was wondering... if..you know..w~" His question was interrupted as Alexa and Damon came running up to us. "You guys are slow. Come on let's go." Damon said as they dragged us both apart and tugged towards the temple before we could even protest. 'Hm I wonder what he was going to ask me?' I thought to myself.

After some time, we reached the temple and I looked at my watch and saw it was only around ten thirty. We only had an hour left before we really need to go to bed especially since we have to wake up early for our flight back to mystic academy. I really wanted to spend as much time I had left with my Chinese family before I go so, I went to one of the small dojos that they had for little kids.

Walking into the dojo, I found Kito practicing with a bo staff and Jun watching her. She looked so focused that she didn't even notice me. Jun looked in my direction and saw me. He walked to me and greeted me softly "Hey. How did the mission go?" "It went really well. Turns out the men who attacked me back then were apart of the gang and we took all them out and rescued some hostages." I answered.

He nodded in acceptance and looked over to Kito, who was still doing her practice. "You know what? Why don't you help Kito with practice today? Since it is your last day and your leaving tomorrow. Spend some time with her. She always said she wanted to train just like you so why not actually train from you." I looked shocked for a second before regaining my senses. "She really said that?" I asked and he nodded. I chuckled to myself softly and replied with a small "ok". He nodded and walked out of the room.

I turned back to Kito and watched her for a little bit. Then I decided to make myself known. "Hǎo, hǎo, hǎo. Kànzhe nǐ." (Well, well, well. Look at you.) I said as I walked towards her. She broke out of her concentration and looked at me with a smile. "Yu Jie!" she yelled as she ran up to me. I chuckled at her excitement.

She looked around the room in confusion and asked, "Yú jié, nǎlǐ shì shūshu jūn? Tā zài zhèlǐ bāngzhù wǒ xùnliàn." (Yu Jie, Where is uncle Jun? He was here helping me train.) I nodded to her and responded "Jūn zuǒ shūshu, ràng wǒ lái bāngzhù nǐ ba. Xiànzài, zhè tīng shàngqù nǐ?" (Uncle Jun left and asked me to help you instead. Now, how does that sound to you?) She squealed in happiness and nodded fast. I shook my head in amusement and walked over to the side of the room to grab a staff.

Once I grabbed a staff, I walked to the middle and stood next, but far away so I won't hurt her, to Kito. "Hǎole, kāishǐ de shíhòu, wǒ qiánmiàn zhùshìzhe nǐ de xùnliàn hé nǐ zuò de hǎo, dàn wǒ kěyǐ gàosù nǐ yǒu máfan yǔ nǐ de bù fǎ suǒyǐ, wǒmen yào duì dì yī fèn gōngzuò." (Okay to start off,i watched earlier while you were training and you were doing good,but i could tell you were having trouble with your footwork so, we are going to work on that first.) I said in a serious, but light tone and she nodded. And that's what we worked on for the ten minutes.

After those ten minutes, we began to work on spinning and strikes. She was doing really amazing now that she worked on footwork.

We finished up when I saw it was time for her to go to bed. She put her staff away and we said our goodbyes and I told her see her in the morning before I leave. She ran out leaving me to do a little bit of tricks with the bo staff just like old times.

(Neo's POV)

When we got to the temple, Elektra ran off before I could talk to her again. 'Ugh. This is bull. I need to talk to her. I have to tell her how I feel. Stupid Alexa and Damon for getting in the way. Now I have no clue where she went.' I said to myself.

I spent the next ten minutes searching around the temple for her. I finally found her with that little girl Kito practicing together. The smile on Elektra's face is just amazing. She may be grown up now and went through so much shit in her life, but I can see that little spark in her eyes when she's here in a place where she used to call home. I surely hope I can keep that spark in her eyes and never see it go away.
