The aftermath

Previously, Professor Albus Dumbledore, Head Master of Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witches had placed a charm on the Potter Household in order to monitor so as to try and prevent anything bad from happening, unfortunately he was far too late with this matter. Dumbledore still, however, was able to see the events that had transpired and thus knew that Lily, James and Voldemort were all dead and yet somehow Philip and Harry had managed to survive, he immediately called for Hagrid to go and rescue the poor little boys.

By the time Hagrid had gotten to the Potter Household, the House itself was already in 'shambles' with not much to speak for its previous decent appearance. He made his way straight into the household only to see James Potter lying on the floor with his eyes wide open and yet so terribly lifeless at the same time. Hagrid couldn't bare to see such a hurtful thing and thus with two fingers, closed his eyes.

Hagrid proceeded to make his way up the staircase only to see a completely barbaric mess with toys, paper, books, lamps, glass and more having been strewn all across the floor and yet it still seemed so silent. He immediately made his way into the Infants room only to see an even more frightful view.

Hagrid bit his bottom lip and clenched his fists to the point of bleeding, and when he turned his head to see the two Infants in the bed, he began to cry profusely.

What greeted his eyes was the scene of one infant (Philip) having his arms somewhat wrapped around the other infants head (Harry), the latter appeared to be silently weeping whilst the former had a strangely calm face with a few dried up tear marks around his conjunctiva.

Philip appeared to have noticed Hagrid and looked at him with the same, calm, silent yet somewhat scary eyes... they almost seemed quite maddening when Hagrid thought of how a child of such age could even have eyes like that.

Of course, with his twin having noticed the man, Harry had also too felt there was someone there and looked towards him whilst his weeping came to a halt. They found it quite strange how there had been two completely random men coming into the place they grew up one after another with the short span of a few hours having passed by.

Hagrid having cried for a short while decidedly held out his slightly burly hands in an attempt to calm the children down a bit and pick them up. This didn't quite bode well with Philip as he attempted to make some 'scary' noises so as to protect his twin from harm. Naturally, with both Harry and Philip being but mere infants, they really couldn't do much to resist either way.

Hagrid noticed the change from Philip and realised he must be the 'older' type between the twins and was protecting his smaller twin from harm. This just further broke his chaotic heart as he knew that this young child would grow up to be fearless in the future.

He decidedly patted the heads of both children which emitted some warmth to both the children, making them realise that perhaps this person wasn't so bad after all... he didn't feel cold like that other man. After seeing that it seemed okay to do so, Hagrid took the infants into his arms and gave a silent prayer to Lily which was currently lying face down with some dried up tears smudged across her face yet a gentle and calming smile spread across her lips. He had truly felt the life leave him when he saw such cruel scenes, especially after having noticed that one of the infants had received a lightning style runic curse on the right-side of his forehead.

Thus he took the children quickly and made his way out of the house, he couldn't bare to think what would happen if the children were somewhat older... what if they remembered this scene for the rest of their lives and kept repeating it day after day in their heads, they would be absolutely mortified and perhaps even 'broken'. Hagrid already understood from the twins expressions that they both had a slight understanding of what has happened, but luckily it didn't seem too severe to where he might of even needed to use Obliviate on them...

Outside in the front porch of the Potter House sat Hagrids metallic silver motorcycle, there was a decently sized basket on the front of it which he gently placed the children in, he had already known that he would be picking the infants up and hence had taken a small, cozy blanket for the twins to be wrapped up and rest in for the journey back.

Hagrid got on the motorcycle and slowly but surely, it began to lift off of the ground before making it's way through the night sky silently. Whilst they were flying through the air on the motorcycle, Hagrid noticed how Harry appeared to be somewhat enjoying it with slight giggles here and there, whilst Philip was looking at his twin with a small smile across his lips.

After but a few hours, they had made their way to Hogwarts, by now though, both Harry and Philip were sleeping silently... well, he had caught Philip looking up at him every once in a while but it wasn't for too long each time.

Hagrid landed as gently as he could next to his small sized hut before proceeding to check on the condition of both children, he silently carried them into the hut before laying them to rest on his soft bedding. He swiftly made contact with both Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall.

Within 10 minutes, he heard a small, thrice knock on the huts door which he eagerly went to open only to see an old man with a long silvery-platinum beard reached down to his knees and a small cat perched upon the mans right shoulder silently resting.

The cat slowly stretched before jumping off of Dumbledore's shoulder and turning into an older woman with small circular glasses and a black witchery outfit.

"Hello there, Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall." - Hagrid

"Hello Hagrid, I trust that you had no troubles along the way?" - Dumbledore

"None at all Professor, they're just over here" - Hagrid

Hagrid led both the professors over to where the twins were silently resting.

Professor McGonagall could hardly hold in her tears as she listened to the events that had transpired on this dreadful night, and looked at the two boys with a sad, pitying gaze.

Professor Dumbledore stood there with a gloomy look spread across his face, after all, he was no heartless person either and truly felt bad that he couldn't even help in time. This was currently the best they could do, and they'll do all within their power to help these two twins get better with life.
