Gaining points for Ravenclaw

As it was their first class, they didn't initially know the way and thus ended up almost being late. A large part of this was mostly due to the moving staircases making it harder for them. When they arrived at the classroom, they noticed they were the first ones there.

Soon after, a ghost came fluttering into the room through a wall, the ghost made his way over to the main desk and then proceeded to stand there as if waiting for something.

"Do you think he's waiting for the teacher to come along?" Lilith spoke out.

"I'm not sure, but I think he may be the teacher for History of Magic... notice how he's standing behind the desk whilst also watching on as more students make their way into the class?" Philip says to Hermione and Lilith to which they both nod their heads.

The trio proceeded to make their way over to the front row and sat down along the left column, the tables were in orderly rows almost similar to how they were placed in the hall, but slightly closer and facing the front of the classroom here.

Since they were still slightly early, Hermione started talking away about the Hogwarts: a History book which detailed most of the History behind Hogwarts, including what most of the classes were about. This led to the three having a small conversation about what each class would entail, and which they classes they would choose to take when they were made to decide.

Philip and Hermione both said they were quite interested in the Divination class as it was supposedly capable of teaching the students to foresee some things that'd happen in the future. Lilith didn't seem to keen on the idea as she thought it seemed quite eerie from what she had read about it.

They did unanimously vote that they were all looking forward to Transfiguration though.

After all of the students had made their ways into the classroom, the ghost at the front had finally started to make his move. "It seems you have all made your way here on time, very good. I'd expect no less from Ravenclaw. As some of you may have guessed, I am infact your Professor for the History of Magic classes. My name is Professor Cuthbert Binns, It's a pleasure to meet you all and I hope you shall study hard this year.

Professor Binn's then went on to start by explaining the Goblin Rebellions which Philip and Hermione had already read about before, Lilith had heard of it but hadn't taken the time to look into it in more detail. They were then given some textbooks which entailed what happened within the main Rebellions, which year they took place and the reasoning behind each Rebellion.

After which, they were each asked to come up with an interesting reason as to why the Goblin Rebellions might have become a thing in the first place, to which Philip responded saying that the because of the Goblins being denied the right to wield wands, they felt it was injustice and thus started a Rebellion. This gained him 10 points for Ravenclaw from Professor Binn's and also gained the applause of everyone else within class.

After that, the class ended and they made their way over to the Transfiguration class. As they were making their way along the corridor to the classroom, Philip spotted Harry and waved at him whilst Harry waved back. Harry was heading to his next class with Fay and Seamus whilst Philip had noticed that despite the small childish argument they had yesterday at the entrance to Hogwarts, Draco and Ron were now actually talking whilst walking alongside each other. When Ron saw Philip, his face dropped slightly whilst Draco just snickered.

Hermione and Lilith looked displeased by the two boys reactions to Philip but didn't speak up. They then entered the classroom only to see there wasn't actually a teacher here yet. There was however, a small tabby cat sat atop the desk just staring at the oncoming students. This time, they noticed that the class had two sides to it rather than just a few straight rows of tables. Philip made his way over to the right side of the classroom before placing his books atop the desk, Hermione and Lilith soon followed and sat down either side of him which then made the other Ravenclaws join them on the left side.

Soon after, another set of first years came into the room before they all sat on the right side, these students seemed to be from a different house, and judging by their uniforms, they were most likely the Hufflepuffs. Philip didn't really pay attention to them, but kept on staring at the cat to which the cat was returning the gaze.

"How come you're staring at the cat so much, Philip?" Hermione asks, "Well, if i'm not wrong... again, that should be Professor McGonagall" Philip replied. "Oh! you mean the Animagus form of Professor McGonagall?" she asked once more to which Philip returned a short nod.

After saying that, some of the Ravenclaws who had heard the conversation between Philip and Hermione made sense of what they had said before quickly sitting up properly and quietly waiting for class to begin, it appeared as though they had also read of the 7 Animagus in which had registered with the Ministry of Magic and thus came to realise she did indeed have the same features as one of them.

Shortly after the final Hufflepuff made his way through the doors, and sat down at a desk, the cat jumped off of the desk whilst quickly shape shifting into a Human figure, in which was the lady they had seen once before.

Professor McGonagall looked straight at Philip before speaking, "How did you realise it was me,

Mr. Potter?". Philip gave a curt smile before responding, "When you're in your Animagus form, you have slight indents on your nose where your glasses would always rest. I remember reading that you had an Animagus form too before." Professor McGonagall looked at Philip for a second before smiling.

"Well, if i'm glad about one thing, it'd be that you aren't tardy like your brother, Mr. Potter. Very good answer too, 10 Points to Ravenclaw" She said whilst turning around and making her way behind the desk.
