Episode 8- Power Comes Pains

I punch the shadow thing in the face.

"Ow!" It yells in pain.

I stand in front of it. 'What was this energy that was going through my whole body? It was like I could do anything?' I was determined to hurt this thing like it hurt Cole..like it did to ME!. I throw another punch. This time I hit its stomach. 'For a shadow it wasn't normal. I thought maybe hitting it I would fall through it but for some reason I could hit it...like a real person.' It falls on the ground. "Had enough?" I say angry. Looking down at it. It doesn't say anything but laugh. I grab it's neck. "You think this is funny?" 'How dare it laugh at me!'

"You stupid little girl..I'm not laughing at you.." It looks up at me with a devilish smile. "I'm laughing because I distracted you from your boyfriend."

"What?" I turn around to see Cole getting hurt another shadow. "NO!" I yell.

The shadow grabs my throat.

I let go of its throat. It was chocking me. I couldn't breath.

"Izzy!" Cole yells in pain.

"Here let me give you a better look!" The shadow turns me around. Its hand still on my neck.

"No.." I manged to say.

The other shadow punches Cole.

'No! I have to watch Cole die!' Tears run down my face. I see Morgan and the others fighting other shadows. None of them can get to Cole in time. 'Please just let me die..so I don't have to watch Cole die in front of me..' I slowly close my eyes.

"Hey don't think that way!" A girl's voice says in my head.

'I know that voice!' I open my eyes. I see Katy looking at me after hitting the shadow she was fighting.

Morgan back flips over one of the shadows. Slicing its head off.

'Dang! Even though I don't like her she still is a good swordsmen. Wait where's Brandon?' I look around. Suddenly, I fall onto the ground. "Ow!" I look around. I see Brandon hitting the shadow that was holding me. I rub my neck. 'It still hurts but I'll live.'

"Come on!" Morgan says to me. Holding out her hand.

I take it.

She helps me up.

'Who were these people? They helped me after I was mean to them..well sort of..'

"Don't worry." Katy says hitting my shoulder from behind.

I can't help but smile.

Brandon holds the shadow down. "If you want to ask it questions then now is the time!" He yells.

I walk over to it. 'There was one question I wanted to know.' "Where's Max?" I say in a harsh voice.

It laughs at me.

"This is not a joking matter!" I yell. I stop and take a deep breath. "If you tell me I might let you go.." The other look at me.

"Are you crazy?" Cole says coming up behind me.

"I think hes right. If we let him go, then he'll just come back" Katy says putting her hand on my shoulder. "It'll just be a waste of time.."

"Well is it a yes or no?" The shadow asks looking evil.

I come face to face with it. "You think you can scare me? Well think again!" I say punching it in the face.

It pukes up some blood. The blood was a dark blue.

Yuck!" Katy yells in disgust.

"Now not so funny now is it?" I say with a smirk.

"Fine..Max is..." It says looking at me.

All of a sudden it throws Brandon off. It starts to fade away.

"NO!" I yell trying to grab it.

"Max!" Cole yells.

I turn to see Max running towards us. "MAX!" I yell running to him. 'I still need to find that shadow but I'm happy Max is back.'

He licks my face.

Morgan starts to laugh.

I turn to her. "Whats so funny?"

She looks at me. "I can't believe you would let a him lick you"

I raise a brow. "What do you-"

"Max here is a protector." She crosses her arms.

"What?" I look at her confused. "Whats that?"

"Well why don't you let Max tell you." She smiles.

I turn to Max. 'Max is a dog. He can't talk.' "Max?"

He turns his head to the side confused.

I sigh. "See?" I laugh as I look back at her. "He-"

Max sighs.

I freeze.

"Izzy..um well..I have to tell you something." Max says turning into a human.

My eyes widen. "What the hell?" I yell running behind Cole.

Cole was also surprised.

"Look Izzy.." max says walking toward me. He had short blonde hair. That matched his dog hair. He wore a white shirt with a tie. His pants a dark blue.

"NO! i don't know....but...but...just don't come near me!" I say trying to process this.'Max is human?! What!'

"Actually he is a shapeshifter." Katy says smiling.

I look at her. "Stay out of my head!" I yell at her.

She looks down at the ground.

"Izzy..I know this is a lot to process but.." Max starts to say when I yell,

"Heck yeah it is!" I sit down.

Max sits next to me. "Let me explain." He smiles at me.

I look at him. "Why? Why didn't you tell me this before? Why now?"

He sighs. "I didn't know how to show you." He looks at the ground. "I thought you would freak. Like now."

I smile a little. "Well you thought right." 'Maybe he was right? Telling me before might of freaked me out more.' "Can you tell me everything?" I look at him. 'If I needed to know now would be the best time.'

Max nods. "Okay here it goes." He takes a deep breath. "When you guys were born you each had different powers. Morgan speed,"

Morgan smiles.

"Cole you can tell the future,"

Cole looks surprised at him.

"Brandon super strength,"

Brandon nods.

"Katy you can read minds,"

Katy smiles big.

"And Izzy..." He turns to me. "Your power is..."
