Chapter 59

"Nightmares? Have you consulted with a healer about it? I mean sure Headmaster is a very knowledgeable wizard, but he is not a healer."

"Umm…no, I have never been to a healer other than Madam Pomphrey. I mean they are just nightmares, everybody has them, umm…right?"

"Yes, Mr. Potter. But not to the extent that they have to learn Occlumency to control them. You know, I am also a master healer. If you want, I can check if there is any problem."

"You are? Alright then, but umm…I don't have to drink any potions, do I? I really hate drinking them."

"*chuckle* No. No Potions, just the diagnostic charms."

He looked relieved at hearing that. I chuckled once again as I took out my wand.

"Now Harry, stay still. I am just going to cast some diagnostic charms on you. But if you feel uncomfortable at any time, just tell me."

"Okay."

He said weakly.

For the next few minutes, I casted various types of diagnostic charm on him, some of which were of my own creation and let me tell you, results were not pretty. Years of malnutrition, broken bones that were not healed properly, various scar tissue on his body were just the tip of the iceberg. I also found traces of the basilisk venom and Phoenix tears in his blood. Not to mention the soul shard in his forehead. I also found very strong blood wards bound to his magical core continuously siphoning of his magic which would explain the blood wards on his uncle's house. But the problem is that the blood wards were siphoning a large portion of his magic from his magic core even though be is at Hogwarts and not there, like 40% of his magic was continuously going to blood wards and around 15% of his magic was continuously used against the soul shard in his forehead to limit its influence on Harry means he only had access to less than half of his magic. Not to mention that there are no signs of antibiotics in his system for any of the magical diseases like dragon pox, means he was never taken to a healer to get the vaccination and as his magical guardian, it was Dumbledore's job to make sure he got his vaccination. Even Madam Pomphrey should have picked up these things and given that Harry takes at least one trip to the infirmary, she had many chances to do so.

Yeah! Dumbledore really screwed him royally.

Seeing how serious I looked, he asked meekly, "Umm…Professor, is everything okay?"

"Well Harry, I think we should have this conversation in the presence of Headmaster, as he should be your magical guardian."

"My magical guardian? He is?"

"Yes, he is. Now come along."

I didn't take him directly to the Headmaster's office but to professor McGonagall's office instead. He looked confused but I ignored his confused look and knocked on the door and entered once she gave permission.

"Hello, Professor McGonagall. I hope you are not busy."

She looked up from the papers she was grading and asked, "How I help you, professor Canis. I see that you have brought Mr. Potter along, is there any problem?"

"Actually, yes. I was just taking Mr. Potter to Headmaster's office. As the head of his house, I would like for you to be present."

"Alright, but can I ask what this is about?"

"Well, you see, Mr. Potter was serving his detention with me and he mentioned that he was having nightmares for quite some time so as a Master healer myself, I offered to do a check-up on him and things I found were quite concerning. So, as Headmaster is his magical guardian, I would like to discuss a few things with about Mr. Potter's health. I think it would be prudent if you were present there as head of his house."

"Hmm…If you think that it is serious enough for me to be present there, then alright. Let's go."

As we're going to the Headmaster's office, I was going over the consequences of what I am about to do here. For one, Harry and McGonagall are going to get a rude awakening about the hero worship they have for Dumbledore.

Second, depending on whether he is genuinely a good guy or a wolf in sheep's clothing, he is going to to either hate me for bringing his schemes about Harry to light or be grateful for helping Harry by healing him and removing the soul shard from his forehead which he believed to be not possible without a killing curse and Harry's death without the deathly hallows. Either way, I am not worried since he is going to be dead next year anyway.

Lastly, I am going to be firmly in the good books of Harry and McGonagall. And depending on Harry's personality, he should be very grateful to me which should be really helpful to me in establishing myself as new light Lord after Dumbledore kicks the bucket and war is over.

Man, it really feels good to be doing good deeds, especially if it helps me.
