I’ll Protect You

Third Person POV

After Yosep left Eve, she still looked at him absentminded. Her friend approached her from far after seeing her sitting alone at the bench.

"Eve, finally found you. Huft.. please don't wander around like that again. Your body is still weak. Hm.. What happens to you? Huh... why is your face so red? Are you sick?" she keeps rambling and asking her nonstop.

"No.. nothing, Nora. It just.. that…" as she blushed more when she remembered what Josep did to her.

Hearing this her friend who is named Nora Flameblaze looked at her curiously. "I see.. So, tell me who is this lucky guy?" as her woman intuition works naturally.

"Ahh.. it's not what you think he is an awful guy that.. bla bla bla.. " she kept berating Josep non-stop but in the middle of her description she also said like "He is a nice guy, He is caring, and I feel weird near him."

Which contradicts a lot sometimes with her first impression. She keeps talking about Josep almost fifteen minute non-stop and still keeps going.

"Stop stop… Eve that's enough. This is the first time you really thought of someone a lot. It seems you really like him a lot. Just introduce me to him when you meet him next time. Okay?"

"I just hope he doesn't have any other suspicious thoughts since you are a third princess. Now, let's go to the dining area, I am quite hungry from hearing all your grumbling." As she holds Eve's hand and goes toward the dining area.

Josep POV

After leaving Eve, I go to the dining area while Lucas and others follow with more respect toward me since I can flirt with the third princess casually even after I already know her identity.

The dining area is quite huge. The place is like an open cafeteria with many stand foods. You can see some of the students become waiters/waitresses or also open a stand.

According to Lucas, they are usually poor students and work here for extra money. Not that I really care about them. As long as they don't make trouble with me I don't care what they do.

The cafeteria is quite packed at this hour and Lucas looks at the empty table. During this time, I just go in a certain direction to the corner near some vegetation where my brothers argue with each other over the food.

My brothers notice, "Oh Josep, how is your tour at the academy? Did someone try to bully you? Just let me know and they will be gone in a minute?" as Fernan asked like some mafia boss.

I just ignored him and sat on the table while eating the leftover food that William tried to glob. Looking at me eating the leftover, William orders more food which is twice as much as before.

I tried to stop him and only told him to pick the delicious food only. Then, he orders around the cafeteria as he knows it like the back of his palm. After a while, the food came in and I ate all of them while chatting with my brothers about the academy.

During our meal, I found Eve and her friend also approaching this area. I just hope they didn't notice me since it will be troublesome.

Suddenly William shouting, "Ahh Redhead, there you are! We left some unsettled scores before. I will show you how much I grow after the holiday." As he pointed his finger at the girl beside Eve.

This girl has red blazing hair with a red eye and slim figure. She wears a girl's student uniform mix with red color and purple armband that indicates she is also S class.

According to Fernan her name is Nora Flameblaze which is a daughter of duke Flameblaze. She and William often clash with each other to see who is stronger.

"Hee.. You, muscle head never learns huh. Alright let's fight. Just don't cry if you lose like last time. Eve, sorry I need to do something with this prick. Don't worry, It will be in short." As Nora goes outside and is ready to fight.

Everyone also follows them going outside to spectate the spar since it is rare to see upperclassmen S class spar with each other. In this academy, you are allowed to have spar with anyone as long as both parties agree and there are no casualties during the spar.

During this time, Eve also noticed me and blushed once again. While everyone goes outside and my brother Fernan also becomes their referee, I approached Eve. She noticed me coming closer to her, she backed away a little bit and wanted to run.

I used my enhanced speed to arrive immediately in front of her without others noticing. "Hi.. my cutie Eve, did you already miss me that want to meet me again that badly?" as she keeps blushing while I pat her head.

"Who.. who is the one that misses an insolent guy like you?" while she tries to look angry and pouting. Then, after teasing her a little bit, I grab her hand and go to my brother's fighting scene.

"Lets watch together, how is your friend handle my stupid brother?" while I give her a smile while grabbing her hand.

Since it was crowded, we took a detour and found an empty spot to look at the fighting. During this moment, my brother's fight was already at the climax. Both of them have already exhausted their mageforce and will finish in their next attack.

They both readied themselves. My brother used [charge] at the redhead girl. The blazing girl at this moment just smirks.

Then, she gathers the fire element mageforce to her sword and creates a red sword energy arch that is so much lower compared to my [Burning Wave]. Still it has the power to injure normal people.

As my brother already expected this, he parries the sword arch using his own energy sword. Unfortunately, he somehow redirected it toward us.

At this instant, the only one that notices is my brothers, the redhead girl, me, and Eve. Eve only closed her eyes afraid as the sword arch was already in front of us in less than a second.

"Don't worry I will protect you, Eve." As I said to assure her and use my hand to control the fire elemental and deflect to our side.

BOOMM.. I also manage to embrace her to not let her get thrown away from the explosion. When she opened her eyes she finally realized that she was in my arms.

During this moment, my brothers and the redhead girl approached us. I release Eve and help her to keep her steady while patting her small head.

"Eve are you alright? I am sorry that sword arch. Even though I promise to protect you." As Nora meekly apologized.

"Don't worry Nora. Beside it does not hit me and J-Josep is protecting me already." She keeps grabbing my hand and becomes red like a tomato again after saying the later part.

"It's okay, beside it also because of this muscle brain that deflects it toward this area. So, it was his fault in the first place." While Fernan slaps and keeps hitting William.

During their argument, "Emm.. you must be Josep Temus that Eve told about non-stop. What did you do to my sword arch when it was already in front of you." As she asked me curiously.

"You know, curious cats always got killed because of their curiosity especially as they approached something dangerous." I respond ambiguously while looking in a certain direction

Then, I mumbled lowly, "Moru, eliminate them."

A sudden flash of black shadow comes out from my shadow and goes to the vegetation nearby. "Anyway, Eve, you seem fine now. Please take care of yourself until we meet again. okay? I need to take care my stupid brothers now."

I looked at Eve's eyes one last time and patted her. Before leaving her toward my brother who kept arguing and fighting.

"Hey, what do you mean by that? And don't ignore me? Also Eve just who is this guy?" She questioned around without no one answering as I already ignored her and Eve is still in the absentminded state.

Third Peson POV

At the forest near the fighting scene, Moru chases down the spy that Josep deemed as a target at flash speed.

She already kills one of the spies with a surprise attack while the other notices and tries to escape immediately with a deep wound in his chest. After a while of running, He finally feels that he already loses his pursuit.

"Damn, what the hell? How come there is suddenly a powerful shadow warrior in this academy suddenly."

There is also the large scale spell that appears from out of nowhere this morning. I must tell the higher ups about this immediately." He plans to get out of this academy safely.

Before he can move any further, His shadow becomes a pointed spike needle and penetrates his head before he realizes what is going on.

After that he submerge to his own shadow and the shadow goes back into Josep's shadow silently and whispering, "Target eliminated."
