Will’s Counter Offer

Sophia could not understand what she was seeing. At first, Will had brought Alison next to her appendages and laid her down. After which he performed a three hundred-and-sixty-degree slash. The moment he did some, the area he and Alison occupied was covered by complete darkness, as if light could not escape once it entered.

There were many skills that could block one's sight, but what really stunned Sophia was that all of her senses were completely cut off. As far as her senses were concerned, the space Will and Alison were supposed to be in was a blotch of nothingness!

'Could this be another application of Solitude?'

Sophia became nervous and was filled with worry. She believed that most men were lust-filled creatures that would not hesitate to defile a corpse if given the chance, as that was how maidens in the Frozen Asgard Sect were taught. Hence Sophia could not help but think of the worst.

Lisa's betrayal and Giselle's sanctioning of this betrayal only made her feel an even greater sense of loss. Because she was a person who was driven by her goals and aspirations. Unfortunately, not only had the people she looked up to abandoned her sister in her time of need, but they didn't seem to care much about her either.

Sophia could tell that Lisa was communicating with Giselle and had a rough idea of what the discussion was about. Giselle's subsequent movements only proved her right. Aimless and without drive, Sophia blankly stared at the black void, wondering what Will's plan for her sister was. Although Lisa and Giselle did not care, Sophia cared very much about their bond as a group. Will's level of strength and previous achievements had scared her, no longer allowing her to see herself as his rival. Instead, all she could do was be passive and hope that her sister was not being abused in any way

On the inside of the black mass, Will stared at Alison as she opened her eyes and regained consciousness. Alison's expression was blank for a moment, but when she saw Will's body she was spooked and tried to scream. Unfortunately, no words escaped from her mouth. A strange energy was preventing her from moving even an inch. All she could do was move her head from the neck up, but she could neither speak nor fully control her body.

Their current location was surrounded by darkness, while Will's aura tainted by Swordforce and Yin energy caused even a Frozen Asgard Mage like her to feel chills. Alison was worried about her current circumstances. Because she had been unconscious, she was not aware of how she had reached this current location. She also had no idea how much time had passed since she was abandoned and cast away.

Just remembering how her limbs were severed caused her severe heartache, and the betrayal of her sister only served to make things worse. She was so saddened she could not even muster the desire to get angry at Will, because as he had rightly said, he was their enemy, and had no obligation to show her pity.

Alison quickly concluded the worst and assumed, just like Sophia, that Will intended to have his way with her in some manner.

'He probably took advantage of me while I was unconscious. To think men really have such a disposition, I wish I could end my own life.'

Alison felt saddened by the fact that her body would be sullied before meeting its end. She had always pictured herself dying in the midst of glorious battle and entering the hallowed halls of Valhalla. Unfortunately, now she was about to meet an end no different from that of a common mortal.

"Before you get all depressed and think nasty stuff about me, how about thanking me." The arrogance in Will's voice annoyed her to no end, but there was something about his words that she found strange.

'I should thank him? Thank him for what?'

Alison realized something was off and decided to pay full attention to her surroundings. Due to shock and many other factors, she had not paid much attention to her circumstances and environment. But after hearing Will's words, the young maiden was stunned to see that her limbs had been reattached!

Not only had they been reattached, but they were in perfect condition. In fact, her body was in the best condition it had ever been!

It was only now that she realized that her purity was not only intact but her wounds had all been healed. Even her previous hidden injuries from older battles had been completely removed!

In cultivation, it was common for one to suffer from traumatic injuries that could not be cured by ordinary means, similar to a disability. Alison, like any cultivator, had quite a few of them riddled throughout her body, hidden in places deep within her vessels such as her meridians or bones. However, each and every injury, hidden trauma and wound was completely healed! Physically and spiritually!

As far as Alison knew only heaven-defying medicines could achieve such an effect. Her life force was full to the brim while her spirit was invigorated. She was confident that this was her best form since the day she started cultivating.

"Now that we have established that I'm not a pervy creep if I release the seal on you, will you promise to behave? If not I might as well just behead you right now to save myself some trouble. After all, I did use an important resource I got from killing the World Boss in healing you."

Will's words stunned the maiden as she started to put two and two together.

'He used loot from the World Boss to heal me? Why would he do such a thing?'

Alison could not fathom why anyone would use such a valuable medicine on her. Loot from a World Boss was worthy of entire sects fighting over each other. Lisa's betrayal was a good example of this. Yet this stranger had used such medicine to heal her of an injury he had afflicted. This simply didn't make any sense.

Alison was however calm and collected. She had an adaptable mind and was now only concerned with survival. Her loyalty to the Frozen Asgard Sect was at its lowest at the moment and her purity was maintained. As far as she could tell, Will had not touched her in any nefarious way. She could not cast any skills thanks to the odd seal he had placed on her, but she could still inspect her own body.

She had no idea what kind of medicine she had received, but she was sure that she had benefited greatly because her body was now in perfect condition. Even some concepts and mysteries that eluded her before started to become clearer in her head, indicating that the resource Will had used also had spiritual aspects that could improve one's cultivation in some way.

Alison considered this and many other factors before signalling with her eyes that she agreed to Will's conditions.

"Fantastic."

Will put two of his fingers on her forehead and released the seal he had placed on her. It was a simple sealing skill that was one of the many gifts Wodin had imparted to Will. It relied on using blood qi manipulation. As a Water Meister, it was not hard for Will to apply such a skill.

Alison slowly got up and warily stared at Will. She was really curious as to why he had helped her, even going as far as to use an important resource like loot from a World Boss.

Will smirked when he saw her expression. He had of course not used anything of the sort. He had simply used one of his most prominent abilities, Empyrean Intent: Radiant Energy!

Radiant Energy was capable of healing any injury so long as the target was close to the caster in terms of cultivation level. Not only that, it also provided raw life energy that provided a minor qualitative improvement to all three vessels. It was an ability that countless cultivators could only dream of. Any user of Radiant Energy was highly respected as a healer capable of even reviving the dead under the right circumstances! Which living creature did not fear death?

Unfortunately, having such power was a crime if one did not have great backing or enough strength to defend themselves. Which was why Will was banned from using Empyrean Intents in public.

Fafnir's Grave was a dungeon under the Norse while Modus was the Administrator of this Sector of the system, hence super being could spy on Will. As long as Will used Solitude to isolate himself and he had an explanation for observers, he could use Radiant Energy as he wished.

Will cracked his neck and stretched lazily before he looked deep into Alison's slightly frightened gaze. His piercing white eyes made her feel uncomfortable, but oddly enough, she still felt quite secure around him.

"Say, young lady, how would you feel about getting some payback?"
