Day Eight part 3

Jake ran into the hospital and as he was asking at the front desk about Mr. Smith Zane say him and ran over.

"Why did you leave?" Zane demanded.

"Where is Pop? What happened?"

"Pop is in the waiting room. It's Lillian .." Before he could say anything else Jake turned and walked away.

"Jake come back here!" Zane run to catch up and stopped his friend.

"What has gotten into you?" He demanded.

"I don't care anymore she can go back to her life. Just leave me alone." He hung his head. He was heartbroken.

"Jake she could die." He lowered his voice.

Jake stopped in his track. "Why?"

"The doctor missed it yesterday, Her appendix was bad and the reason she threw up was it was leaking. We got her here just as it burst. They have her in surgery. He was looking for you after you left to tell you yes. Yes to what?"

"I asked her to marry me tommarow at the courthouse. I thought she got sick because she changed her mind and the thought stressed her out. Take me to her." He was wrong, how could he give up on her.

They waited for over an hour before the Doctor came out.

"Who is the family for Miss Hood?" he asked.

Jake stood up, "I'm her fiancé Jake Wolf."

"Mr. Wolf she was one lucky girl. Any moment later and it would of been fatal. She will need to stay for about a week to recuperate but she should be fine. She will be in recovery for about forty five minutes then she will be transferred to a room. If you like you can go to the front desk and fill out the paper work and they will tell you what room she will be in."

She would be all right. He found that his legs wanted to give way at the news. He would of never forgiven himself if anything would of happened to her.

Zane went and filled out all the necessary paper work and made sure she had the best room in the hospital.

Jake sat by her bed all night. The nurses tried to get him to lay down on a roll out bed but he refused. They brought him some breakfast but Lillian still did not wake up. When the doctor come he told him that that was normal.

Zane brought Jake some important documents from the office along with a laptop. Jake work all day staying by her side.

Zane went to the courthouse and got the documents need for Jake and Lillian to marry as soon as she wakes up.

That night Lillian moaned. She then opened her eyes. She felt like a mack truck ran her over.

Jake closed his computer "Hey Red, how are you feeling?"

"Water" she was horse.

He hit the button for the nurse and poured a little water into a cup.

"Here take it slow." putting the glass to her lips.

'Can I help you?' A voice threw the intercom said.

"Yes, please let the doctor know Miss Hood is awake." Jake said.

'Yes sir, a nurse will also be right down'

With in a few minutes two nurses came and asked a lot of questions and took vitals. Then they gave her some pain meds.

She then fell back asleep as the pain left her. Jake returned to working on the computer.

He worked on many things to keep his mind off of her near death. He would feel guilty the rest of his life.

Grandfather Smith was tired as he rode back home after the long stay at the hospital. He was upset that it took so long to find that grandson of his he almost had a heart attack waiting on him.

Was his grandson good enough for this Little Redhead of a sweetie. It did not take long for him to fall in love with her himself. He had the driver stop at his grandson place so he could get Toby.

His mommy would be in the hospital for serval days and the old man fell for the dog too.

On the way back to the mansion he called his grandson.

"Hello"

"How is she my boy?"

"She woke up in pain. They gave her some meds and now she is sleeping again."

"Good, you stay with her. I have the dog so don't worry about him."

"Thanks Pop. I won't leave her side. Pop?"

"Yes Jake"

"I can't live with out her. What if?"

"Don't think that way. Just live your life as if everyday may be the last."

"I will. I love you Pop. Take care of Toby for her."

"I will."

As they hung up he thought to himself, 'That boy will be all right now.'

Susan sat in livingroom of the penthouse as her Jake made dinner for them.

"Jake, you sure you don't need any help?" She asked.

He laughed, "No sweet thing, besides you can't cook. But after dinner you can help me with dessert."

A shiver went down her spin. "I am glad that I married you. You are a lot more fun then CEO Jake."

"Sweet thing, I will always tie you up and spank that ass of yours if you try to leave me, then again you like it like that."

She grinned at the thought of his bare hand across her bare ass.

"This weekend I want to take you to meet my mother." He said.

"Do you think she'll like me?" Susan getting a little nervous.

"She'll hate you sweet thing but it won't matter. You belong to me. Dinner is ready."

They sat down and ate a good meal then had some naughty sex with whipped cream.

Mrs. Wolf called a bar that was in a run down part of the city.

"Hello"

"Yes, can you give a man a message for me?"

"What message?"

"Tell him to meet me there at 3pm tomorrow." she said.

"He says ok he'll see you then."

Mrs. Wolf plan was going to be in motion real soon.
