Day Ten part 1

The doctor made his rounds early this morning.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Fine, I guess. I want to go home." She said with a frown.

"Ok, we can let you go home tommarow if your labs comeback good."

"That's not fair. I can rest at home just as good as here." She wined.

"Well, you just had major surgery two days ago and you almost died. I just want to make sure everything is fine. Who has a degree in medicine?" he then pointed at himself.

"You do, Promise I can go tomorrow?" She asked.

"If your labs come back good then yes, I promise to let you go home." He then left the room.

Jake was listening to his little redhead argue with the doctor and was glad the doctor won. She seen him laugh and threw a pillow at him then wrenched in pain.

He got up and called the nurse in. "You know if you keep it up you'll have to stay longer here."

"Shut up!" She crossed her arm and turned away.

He laughed again as the nurse brought her some pain meds. It was going to be a long recovery if she kept it up.

He kissed her on the forehead and said, "Honey, I need to go to the office for a few hours. Can I bring you back anything."

"Banana Icecream please." She smiled at him.

"Ok, Banana icecream it is."

Just as Jake was leaving Pop came in with a tall slender woman carrying a large bag.

"Good morning dear, This is Jill Hiland, she is a wedding planer."

"Hello, nice to meet you." Lillian said.

"Nice to make your acquaintance. I have many things to ask you so lets get started." She pulls out a big notebook.

"First What is yours and the grooms name?"

"I'm Lillian Rose Hood Wolf and my husband is Jake Smith Wolf."

"Are you already married?" She asked.

"Yes, we got married yesterday but we are not really telling a lot of people yet."

"You mean that brat did not let me know about you to getting married early. I should cut him out of my will."

"Pop, we were going to tell you today. I'm sorry. He just doesn't want his mother to know yet." Lillian said trying to smooth thing with Pop.

"Ok, when his this wedding taking place?" Jill asked.

"I'm not sure, Pop?"

"June 10th, the same day as I married Jake's Yamyam."

"Ok, what type of wedding is this going to be?"

"What do you mean?" asked Lillian.

"Romantic,Alternative, Vintage, Whimsical, Modern, Rustic, or Garden Party/Casual" Jill named off a few.

"Vintage" said Lillian.

"So we will draw inspiration from decades past, if you want a vintage style for your wedding, one of the easiest ways to channel this is through your wedding outfit and beauty look. As for the ceremony and reception, you can rely on antique-looking decor, like weathered doors and worn-in wood seats, to further exemplify a vintage-inspired wedding. For your last hoorah, finish off the vintage theme driving away in a classic getaway car, like an old Porsche. This is one of my favorite themes to do."

"How many guest for the wedding and reception?" Jill continued.

"I'm not sure. I only have a few people in my life." Lillian said.

"There will be about 200 I think." Pop said making Lillian eye widened.

"Ok, we only have two months to get this set up so I need a list from both sides by monday."

"That in two days" Lillian was getting panicked.

"We will have it for you." Pop said.

"Now invitation," She pulls out another book full of invitations, "These here are then vintage ones which one do you like?"

Lillian looked through the book and stopped on a cream colored on with little cottage with roses grown along the fence. It reminded her of the granny's house in little red riding hood. "This one." She pointed out.

"Nice, Now what should they say?"

I'm not sure about that either."

"How about...

"That sounds good."Lillian was tring not to panick.

"We will need them sent out by next friday. The RSVP cards will be placed with then invitation. Dinner options should be Chicken, Steak, or vegetarian. Does that sound right?"

"Yes" Lillian said.

Jill then pulls out a cake book and flips to the vintage cakes, "Look at the cake designs."

Lillian once again flips through pages.

She comes to once that reminds her of a fairy tale. With ivy growing up the columns and rose here and there. "This one."

"Great, now for the music. We will want classical for the wedding and during dinner. I think a string quartet. Then a live band playing 40's music to dance to. Do you want an open bar?"

Lillian looked at Pop and he shook his head.

"Yes" Lillian said.

"Good, Ok one last thing, Do you have a wedding dress?"

"No."

She then hands Lillian a card, "This is the best place for vintage wedding dresses. Give her a call no later then April 18th. She is a miracle worker but needs time. I will meet with you next Wednesday but make sure I get the guest List by Monday. "

"Ok" Lillian said.

With that Jill Highland walked out. Pop sat there waiting for Lillian to say something.

"Lillian is everything alright?" Pop asked.

"Yes it is. Did I choose right?" Lillian said.

"You did good. My wife also wanted a vintage wedding. Instead of a classic Porsche we had a horse drawn carriage."

"I like that." she replied, she hopped she could do that too.

"Her wedding gown is in the attic you should look at it. The dress could be altered. My daughter refused to wear it."

"I would be honored. That's if you're sure. I have no idea were my mom's wedding dress is."
