Day Nine part 2

Gary was directed to Lillian room once he got to the hospital and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Said the loveliest voice.

"Hey Red, I just wanted to check on you." Gary said looking for her husband.

"Look at you in a suit. You look so handsome. Come give me a hug." Lillian said.

"Carrie told me you got married." Me said staring at her lovely face.

"Yes, today. But we will have a big wedding in a few months." Then an idea hit her, "Gary, you have know me for most my life. I was wondering if you would walk me down the aisle?"

Gary got chocked. "I would be honored. You have always been like a daughter to me." Then placed his hand on her bed.

"And you have always been like a father. I could think of no one else to do the job." She laid her hand on his.

"Where is this husband of yours?" He asked.

"He had to run down to a meeting. He should be back soon. Can you stay to meet him." She asked.

"I would like that. How is Toby?"

"Best dog ever. Jake's grandfather is spoiling him rotten. I hate to think what he would do if we ever had kids."

Gary smiled at the thought of little red having little ones of her own then he shivered at the thought of making her cry.

Soon Jake came in and found Gary sitting at the side of the bed taking to his wife, "Hello"

"Honey, do you remember Gary for Caring Hands. You help him set up the day you volunteered."

"Yes, I remember. Nice to see you again Gary." He did not like this one bit.

"I just came to check on our little red." Gary said.

"He agreed to walk me down the aisle. He is one of Nana's oldest friends." Lillian said with a big smile on her face.

"That's nice." Jake held a cold distant.

"Well I should be going. Jake can you walk me out?" Gary said.

"Why?"

Gary was unsure what to do with this cold ass guy.

"Please be nice Jake, walk him out." Lillian said frowning at her husband.

"Ok, Come on Gary."

Both men walked out. When they were far enough away from the room Gary laid a hand on Jakes shoulder, "Can we talk?"

"What about?" Jake did not like this man.

"Your mother." Gary said.

"What about my mother?" asked Jake.

"Let's get some coffee this story needs to be told." Gary wanted to stall a little.

"Don't tell me you had an affair with my mom and you think I'm your son. I won't by it." Jake laughed.

"No, you mom saved me from going to prison and now as payback she wants me to kill you." He blurted out.

"I think we need coffee come on." Gary followed him to the hospital cafe.

The two men sat down at a table with coffee and Gary told him the whole story about the meeting with his mother and all about red and her grandmother. Then he told Jake his plan.

Jake got back to the room after talking to Gary.

"How are you doing my love?" Jake said kissing his wife on the forehead.

"Doing Ok. When can I go home?" She said.

"The Doctor said in a few days." He sat next to his wife and pulled out his laptop.

She sat there pouting for a few minutes before saying, "I want to go home now. I miss Toby. Plus its our wedding night."

He laughted, "You are still under doctors care. You will stay her till he says you are clear to go home. Then we will have a wedding night you will remember the rest of you life."

She started to laugh then a big pain hit her. Jake called for some pain meds and she was soon falling asleep.

Jake read over the papers the lawyer sent in the email.

Jake read through it and sent an email back to the lawyers saying it was just right. Now his wife would be taken care of if anything would happen to him.

He would of never imagine his own mother and father would want him dead to just get his grandfathers company.

He wondered what kind of a father he would be one day. Would Lillian want kids? Does he want kids? He thought about this for a long time until his eyes were having a hard time staying open.

He went in and changed in to shorts and a tshirt and laid down on the fold out and as soon as his head hit the pillow he was out.

He started dreaming of a little redhead ridding hood and a little dark hair wolf running around the forest with a basket of goodies.

They soon ran into a house and jummped in the lap of a big bad wolf yelling "Daddy, tell us a story."

Jake smiled as he dreamed of a little family to call his own.

Lillian woke up and as she watched him with his big goofy smile she rang from the nurse to bring her some medicine.
