Mirror, mirror in the wall who was the fair and virtuous in the land?

The commotion came to an end when an ambulance was called in to take the unconscious madam Feng.

But this episode of misfortune left an unspoken fear but an everlasting impression of their ever so coward professor Xi.

This man became so dazzling that it was so blinding, they couldn't look at him in the eyes without having fear of offending him.

He didn't look like a coward, if he was coward then what were they, a clown?

This people had fear slowly creeping in their hearts, as they thought of the idiom 'curiosity kills the cat'

And they didn't want to be killed this early; also they didn't want to implicate themselves into this mess, after all, who wants to mess with this terrifying deity and the people behind him.

Hence the crowd slowly scattered away with their tails tucked in. But not everyone was the same, the little lamb who was ostracized not long go by a bunch of middle aged rowdy women was now stuck to Allen like a glue.

He was speechless at her clinginess. This girl. Smh

Slowly pulling her beside him while calling his secretary RIA, he walked off from the entrance of the psychology faculty but he was still holding the girl in his arm gently like a guardian angel that he was.

As they walked into the distance, this view was like an enchanting portrait which would get dirty if anyone came near it.

Allen looked at his obedient little lamb and his heart couldn't help but soften, this baby lamb was his little cousin, the youngest member of Xi in her second uncle's family.

Jason Xi was her second uncle, a man of his own principal.

This second uncle of Allen has never meddled with the Xi family business.

He was a government official and his connections and marriage to the Shen family increased the influence of the Xi family.

Even though Xi household was an aristocratic family, they kept their distance from government and the connections that come with it.

But this uncle of Allen hated being caged by his family and he didn't give a shit about his family business.

To him, it was an overwhelming burden and Allen couldn't help but agree. Since Jason Xi was the second son, his grandparents didn't pressure Jason Xi much, so he became an influential government figure.

This made Allen's "adopted father" Liam Xi jealous of Jason Xi and fear him as well as be cautious against him as he did not want Jason Xi's family to inherit much of the Xi family's wealth.

But, Jason Xi was not interested in the so called family wealth, he made more than enough. He kept himself and his family from the dirty water of the Xi's.

Jason Xi was not just a great government official but also a great father. He had never pressured any of his children to do anything unlike some "parents"

Moreover, Jason Xi and his wife, Mai Shen treated Allen like their own son, since Jason Xi has three daughters but no son, Allen became the son the couple never had.

He treated Allen and his real self (Alina) well though he never meddled with Alina's problems.

On the contrary, Jason Xi has always supported Allen with his career choices and made a successful path for him.

Jason Xi treated Allen differently since even though Allen was registered as Liam Xi's son, in reality he was "adopted" in the family by the two elders and his 'adopted parents' have no right to say in his decision.

There was a time where Allen thought, if he could trade his own "parents" for this uncle's family he would do it without a second thought.

Unlike his parents, his second uncle treated Allen like their own son, thus Alina would dress up as Allen and visit her second uncle's family often as she found familial love there. Hence, Ella and her other sisters saw Allen more often than Carolina did.

Since Ella and Allen were similar of age, Ella was closer to Allen than any of her other cousins.

They treated each other well and Allen treated Ella like his little sister.

Thus, he would never wrong her or her family. Allen was very clear of his priorities; it was always tooth for tooth and eye for an eye. He was like a mirror and believed in equivalent exchange.

Therefore, the people that treated him well, he would treat them well and theypeople that didn't. Well .... evil smirk.

Mirror, mirror in the wall who was the fair and virtuous in the land? Well of course, it was Xi Ying Yue.
