Blow its Brains out

"Hoo~ Lucky!"

Zeus smiled cheerfully as the Great Beast didn't follow him while he couldn't be bothered to pray for the unlucky soul who caught the favour of that huge spider.

The monsters had their own cultivation ranks starting from Rank 1 Beast to Rank 9 Legendary Beast. The Great Beast itself represented the might of Rank 4 cultivator.

Surrounded by the lush forest filled with the unknown, Zeus took a deep breath and started whistling. He absolutely understood the fact that the sound of his whistles may attract the attention of the beasts, but since he was already here, he might as well train himself.

As he whistled, his heart felt free and a song escaped his lips.

With his hands in his pockets, he walked with steady steps as his limited edition Gen X Shoes remained squeaky clean.

With the further enhancement of the technology of this world, the market of shoes remained pretty decent and as a shoe lover himself, Zeus always aimed for the beat and comfortable ones.

His black shoes had simple features like soft steps and pressure jumps but unlike other mechanically enhanced shoes that provided hoverjets, the Gen X series reinvented the classic look and gave incomparable quality shoes alongside a well-maintained customer service.

He had already checked his smartphone and couldn't connect to a signal. This simply meant that he needed another way to find out his location.

Taking out a small gun-like device out of his spatial ring, he pointed the tip of the blue gun in the air and fired out a silenced shot that flew into the air.

Gazing at the screen on the handle of the gun, Zeus didn't find any changes as the screen remained black.

"Alright, this is Imperial Academy for you... completely blocked all the communication systems. We really are stranded."

Zeus muttered and sighed. Putting the gun back into his spatial ring, he took out a metal badge with defined layers and placed it onto the middle of his chest and tapped onto the middle glowing core of the badge.

Almost immediately, an oval force field surrounded his body as the surface of the force field glowed with innumerable tiny hexagons.

This was the reason that all the students decided to run separately.

The Imperial Academy has strict rules regarding scientific gadgets that assisted in battles. While the usage of these gadgets has a very small effect between the battles of high-ranked cultivators, in the squabbles of cultivators below Rank-5, these gadgets might just become their life-saving grace.

But the use of scientific gadgets was looked down upon in the Imperial Academy while the Capital city itself had another Academy that rivalled the Imperial Academy in teaching the methods of mecha battles.

Zeus had just used one of his defensive equipments— NeoHex Egg.

More particularly, Series 11 NeoHex Egg.

With his immediate defense activated, he started whistling once again.

"With a shield on my chest; I explore this quest!

The beauties await me on my bed♪♪

Too bad that I may end up dead!"

Rustle

As he sang, the surrounding bush started to move and the rustling sound was produced from all around Zeus.

"While I explore this quest! I encounter a major threat♪♪

The rustling sounds shake my heart, and yet my beat still won't halt."

He walked casually and paid no attention to the rustling sound.

Shhk

A deep-green python emerged as it's size could easily surpass Zeus's ride of shame.

"As the frightful beast emerges, I pull the trigger and blow its brain out♪♪♪"

Zeus immediately sidestepped and the fangs of the python scratched past his energy barrier as a large amount of the barrier was torn apart. The core on his chest immediately emitted more energy and repaired the barrier while a black rifle with a glowing blue magazine installed appears in Rito's hands.

With a holographic scope emerging from the base of the barrel, Zeus took aim and as he sang, a thick blue plasma beam pierced through the Python's head and left a deep scar on the ground.

The python fell lifeless while the similar sound of plasma guns going off emerged from his surroundings. Apparently, other students have shown their true nature, too.

Their love for scientific weapons, that is.

Boom Boom Boom

Some took it to another level as deep sounds of explosives rang while a screeching sound was heard.

But all the students including Zeus unanimously decided that all these sounds were actually the sounds of spells destroying the monsters.

Head Master's Cabin, Imperial Academy.

Mei knocked the door politely before a deep and magnetic voice emerged from the other side of the door.

"Come in."

Mei immediately entered and her eyes registered a blonde middle-aged man with spiky and unruly hair while he wore a simple blue shirt and black pants. His eyes covered by a pair of glasses while his eyes focused on the holographic screen of his tablet.

"Principal Minato, I think that we may have encountered a problem."

Mei spoke lightly while Minato finally closed the screen in front of him and looked at Mei.

"Do you mean Harry sending of his new class to a trip?"

He tapped his index finger on his table carved out from magma wood and pointed at the chair in front of him.

"Please, sit. Mei-sensei."

Mei nodded and sat down while she awaited Minato's orders.

"About Harry's action, I have already known about it the moment he activated the teleported circle without any approval.

After reporting this to the director, she simply replied to let things be."

When Mei heard this, she was astounded.

"Why would her Highness do that? They are the members of the Imperial family."

Mei spoke in a concerned manner.

Adjusting his glasses, Minato shook his head and sighed.

"I cannot understand the director's wishes. Anyway, I have already restricted the inner forest of the island and only the Rage beasts remain an actual threat to the students.

According to the energy fluctuations received, all of them must be using their guns or some other equipments to cope up with the situation."

Minato replied.

"But they are my students, Principal!"

Mei's gaze hardened. If it was like the previous era, where the strongest fist dictated the flow of conversation, Mei wouldn't have been even allowed into Minato's cabin.

But they all were civilised people who have also cultivated their inner selves alongside their ranks.

Understanding her anxiousness, Minato smiled apologetically.

"I really cannot do anything. But the Director has ordered that all the students only need to survive for a week and not actually enter the Teleportation Circle placed inside the core of the island."

Hearing his words, Mei's expression did soften as she could only hope that her students can remain safe.

"I see, thank you for understanding my situation, Principal. Please give my best wishes to your son and your daughter-in-law for their marriage."

Minato smiled brightly at her words.

"Yes, of course."

As Mei took her leave, Minato's gaze condensed on the framed picture of him and his wife alongside their son and daughter-in-law during the wedding.

"Hehe, I really miss that damn kid!"

He chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
